I sincerely do not know what you want me to get or understand here ! Perhaps, if you remain focused on the subject matter and what brought about this discourse, you'll have a clear understanding of my points.

Some streets, possibly Europeans',were shown here and the question was "why don't we have these kind of streets in Nigeria ?" My answer to that was very simple and that's, the present system is not working and will never work for a country like Nigeria or any other African country that's heterogeneous like ours.

How on earth would any sensible person expect a unitary system of government to work in a country with sharp diverse background, culture, religion ,etc ? We are different people lumped together by the Europeans strictly for their own selfish economic gains and that's why it is difficult for us to work together and build an enviable nation like the Europeans.. Most European countries and others alike are ethnically homogenous people.

My point basically is that the heterogeneous nature of Nigeria demands that we should practise true federal system of government as practised during our first republic. We all could see the rapid developments that each region witnessed during that period. True federalism means given a group of people with same background, culture, belief system, same aspirations etc the freedom to own their future and develop at their own pace !

I find your argument that the U S does not practise true federal system of government quite laughable ! Come on,what are you saying ? United States is quite similar to Nigeria in terms of huge population with diverse ethnic groups and backgrounds. And this is why in each State, there are different law that governs their public life and administration - different state police departments, different laws and judicial systems ,etc. What is obtainable (law)in Virginia is certainly not what you'll find Ohio or Texas. They have different ways of doing things because they are ethnically different people ! California is the richest state in the U S because it has control over its resources and does not have to go to the White House ,with cap in hands, to beg for meagre shares from the federation's account.

What states like Lagos,Oyo,Ogun,Abia,Kano and others are getting from Abuja can never be enough to drive meaningful developments and that's the fact ! The present system is defective and can't deliver the desirable developments we all crave for. Did Awolowo, Azikiwe and Bello not achieve a lot with regional system of government ? Powers should be devoted to states ( regions) while Abuja is given responsibility to manage defence, foreign affairs and others businesses that are federal in nature. This is the only way out as there won't be any angel to perform any miracle from Aso rock !

We must go back to the regional system of government - Northern region,Western region and Eastern region - as practised in the first republic for us to witness rapid developments in our country. How do you fashion out a common goal or course for a people with different aspirations and beliefs ? Some people's aspiration may be to build some gold plated mosques in Sokoto while some may want to build a rocket site in Aba or have a world class University in Osogbo ! Are these people same to you ? Can they ever work together ? How do you influence their "mentality" to have a common goal ?

We are different people with different aspirations and priorities and that's why the present system is not working for the country. States should be collapsed into regions where people with same culture, values, aspirations etc are joined together to fashion a common course for themselves and to develop at their own pace while Abuja is retained as a unifying centre for all ! Today,Buhari is operating as if he was elected by his ethnic fulanis alone. Tomorrow, an Igbo man will definitely tow same line and are you going to blame any Yoruba for doing same ?

Regional system that is built on true federalism is the way out !
A round of applause for this person mehn!!

This is all I have been saying!! Infact GOD bless you bro!!

If I ever have the chance to become a president one day, This is definitely the kind of people I will want to have in my circle, People who reason like this!!

Instead of Africans to stay back in their countries and fight for good Governance so they won't have to be looking for greener pastures in foreign countries

All you will see them saying all the time is: “Run from this continent ooo” — Japa from this country” — “Africa is a place for animal, Better to run from this shit hole” and so on!!

I look at this comments and laugh, Every country at some point in time has face serious hardship and problems — If Europeans/Americans has all ran away from their countries then and not stay back and work things out

Would you be thinking of going to Europe today??

Or do you people think one angel will fall from heaven to develop Africa for you so you can move back?? LOL

You don't get it yet, read my posts again.

Do you think the people that shipped themselves to Australia killed the natives took over their land, shipped themselves to North America did the same, shipped them selves to South America did similar, shipped them selves to South Africa did similar, came to Africa enslaved African Ancestors to build for them, came back later to colonize the same Africans, joined tribes together so that they will keep fighting each other. Did they get any retribution for all these? Did they apologize? ask yourselve how where they able to do all these?
Do you think they have repented or they are still cooking up something cunningly??

Now look at police brutality around the globe it is against which race? Have there been justice so far? Why is it so difficult to end police brutality around the globe when it is about human life? It is the same struggle for black people everywhere.
Africans don't get they are also facing the effect of racism around the globe because they live in countries mostly dominated by black people.
If you don't get it at this point, no more explanation, do your research.
Abeg!!! Racism is everywhere in the world, I have seen Countless Videos of Black South Africa beating up white people in their country, Do you know that White south africa are now living in constant fear of the black people??

Over the last 3years more than 6 white farmers has been killed in south Africa by the black south Africans!!

Racism is everywhere, A friend once told me that the reason black people are screaming racism is not because they really want to fight racism, it's because they're unhappy that they are not the one doing the racism!

And the police brutality you mentioned too, Are Nigerian Police not doing the same to their fellow black men here?? What's #EndSARS protest for?? Is it not against police brutality??

You see, one thing I hate about Africans is hypocrisy, And you right here is an hypocrite who hides from the truth

Paul Kagame banned hawking in Kigali. That's the main reason why the city is so much cleaner than West African cities. Street Hawking must be banned.
That's just like trying to cure Headache by cutting your head off!! It won't solve your problem, it will only create more mess

If Government can invest in poverty alleviation programme, and try to reduce poverty in Nigeria by at least 70%, I bet hawking become story of the past in no time!!

How many times have you seen Rich people's kids hawking?? You can't see them cos they're well off!!

High poverty rate leads to hawking, I don't blame this people at all, they're just trying to survive in a country that never works!!

The problem in Nigeria is our low tax to GDP of just 6% compared to 14% in Ghana and 28% in South Africa. If Nigeria collected as much tax as Ghana, we would have an annual government tax revenue of $56 billion per year compared to the current $13 billion reported in 2019.

Nigerians love to complain about corruption and mismanagement, but Nigeria's budget is smaller than the budget of a single city in the United States.
Yes, one American city generates more tax revenue than the entire country of Nigeria. That's the main reason why things look so horrible. According to the World Bank, a country will never develop until its tax to GDP ratio hits 15%.

If we don't dramatically increase tax revenue, the country will explode. The government also needs to dramatically cut budgets and salaries to redirect funds to infrastructure.

Solutions

1. We need a massive property tax in cities like Abuja and Lagos. 1% of your property value goes to tax every single year for an infrastructure fund that is directed to road construction and infrastructure in the LGA. Everything must be audited and published online.

2. We need a massive luxury tax of 10% on all plane tickets sold in Nigeria -- the tax jumped to 25% on first class ticket because no black monkey deserves to fly first class while his country looks like a zoo. Learn your place.

3. We need to decentralize an regionalize government. Hausa/Fulani leadership is the main reason why Nigeria is lagging behind its peers like Ghana and the Bantu countries in terms of development. Every region should be responsible for collecting its own taxes and developing its own industries.
And you think a typical Nigerian politicians think like you?? Even if they eventually start taxing people, I bet 90% of it all be looted

This people's brain can't think of anything else aside from Looting public funds
