Family › Re: My Father-in-law Is Making My Wife To Disrespect Me! by Raylight2(m): 10:48pm On May 24, 2018 |
winningwinner: My name is Dahe. I struggled to graduate from the university. I made first class. After that, I got a job that pays 120k per month. But there is this problem with the job. You work like the bull and hardly have time for yourself. I sometimes sleep in the office just to beat time. It's work all through from morning till night.
There is this girl that I fell in love with. She was 21 then while I was 25. She kept complaining that I always keep to myself at work without a bit of care for her. The complain and accusations kept on till I decided to listen to her. I only worked for two months and had just been paid for the second month.
I invited her over to my house in Abuja. She came, and that time she was on her final year. She came with so many books and by the look of things, she was prepared to stay longer.
As usual, workload took over every event. At midnight, my phone rang and it was my girl. I was afraid to explain anything but I told her I was coming home right away. I did. It was hell in my home. We managed to make love and slept.
The next morning, my MD called demanding my presence. My girl insisted that I call him back and ask for a break that day. I did not.
Rather, I begged her and went to work. I truly loved her and wanted to propose to her before she goes back to school. But to make her feel good and belonged, I called her on phone to break the news. I proposed to her.
My MD sent for me to ask that I work through the night again. I said no. He pleaded, but I refused. It was hard saying no, but I had no choice.
At home my girl had turned herself into a ready made wife and I regretted not proposing to her till now. I did not go to work the next day due to the new development at home. You understand what I mean.. My MD called to vent his anger, but I was calm and my girl swore never return to me if I didn't resign from the work. I took her word and resigned.
I looked for another work to no avail. She kept servicing my bank account with lots of money. Her father is rich. She called me and asked me to speak with her mom and after some weeks, the dad. They kept saying, "please take good care of our daughter, don't break her heart".
My girl gratuated with a 2.1 honours and I attended her graduation ceremony where I met her parents live. After some weeks, her father called me to ask me about my plans with her daughter, I did not hide anything, and he told me to act fast.
A month later, I called him to inform him of my plans to marry his daughter the coming Christmas, but only that money was the big issue. He told me to go on with my plans that he will take care of everything. I jumped at it and we wedded. He took care of everything starting from invitation card to reception.
He refurnished my house in Abuja and transferred three years rent sum to my landlord's account. He paid in advance. Our first child came, still I and my wife are jobless. My In-law takes care of us.
I wanted to be in charge of my home but the man kept interfering, making the daughter to take a contrary decision on crucial matters.
My wife no longer takes my advice, what do I do? I need your candid advice on this matter. Please help me!
MY QUESTION: Will you as a father leave your home to meddle on your daughter's own home? Why won't you allow her to build her home with her husband? I have a question instead of an advice and that is why u agreed to quit your job because of a woman's advice? I'm sure u were high in love. issok |

Education › Re: NYSC Rejects Illiterate Graduates Of Enugu University (ESUT) by Raylight2(m): 7:29am On May 24, 2018 |
Positivepoint: Three “graduates” of Enugu State University of Science and Technology mobilized to participate in the National Youth Service Corps scheme have shown lack of competence and intelligence level expected of genuine degree holders.
According to documents obtained by ESUT NEWS ONLINE, the three “graduates,” who are serving in ABUJA, Lagos and KOGI states respectively, were rejected, with formal letters sent to the state coordinators by their areas of primary assignment and forwarded to the NYSC headquarters in Abuja.
The Director General of NYSC, had informed the NUC of the presence of corps members who displayed “glaring lack of academic ability and intelligence level expected of genuine Nigerian graduates, which were consistently exhibited by the three students from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology.”
Attaching copies of letters from NYSC secretariats in Abuja, Lagos and Kogi, “As contained in the reports, the corps members exhibited signs of incompetence and low intelligence level which range from inability to complete registration formats correctly to not being able to teach pupils at nursery school level.
These inadequacies led to their rejections by their employers in their various states of deployment.”
The case, according to an insider’s account, has baffled the National Universities Commission (NUC) and prompted the setting up of a committee to “verify the integrity of the degrees,” and find out if there was collaboration by the university.
Federal education authorities are suspecting a wide-ranging scam that might have been going on for years.
To unravel how the three corps members were mobilised, the NUC has already set up a panel, comprising officials of NYSC, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the State Security Service (SSS).
The mandate of the panel, according to a letter dated September 24, 2012 signed by NUC Director of Quality Assurance, Professor C.F. Mafiana, “is to fully investigate the report with a view to identifying the culprits, including others similarly mobilised and their collaborators, and ensuring sanctions accordingly.
The team would be chaired by a visiting professor in the NUC.”
Out of the three corps members, Jane could hardly write the Roman figures from one to 10 in words, just as she could not write three states and their capitals.
She could not provide the names of two major rivers in Nigeria, just as she failed to name three countries that share border with Nigeria.
Obioma, according to the documents, was rejected by Kings College, Lagos, after it was discovered that she was grossly incompetent to perform her duties.
A further test on her by the Lagos state NYSC secretariat revealed that though a graduate of Electricals/Electronics, she never passed any of the science subjects at the secondary school level.
The third fellow, John, who was posted to Abuja, was rejected by a nursery/primary school known as FEMA Schools because of his inability to read and write.
Having been rejected by two employers, he had to be reposted by Abuja NYSC to a bakery, pending the final determination of his case by the NYSC national headquarters.
When queried on his incompetence, John proved his incompetence when he responded in writing: ‘“I awarded a degree in Enugu State University of Science and Technology I have a probeam in my university am manegn my siefe to funsh my school.””
A source disclosed on Friday that members of the panel would soon commence probing the circumstances under which the “graduates” were released by the university to participate in the NYSC scheme.

Politics › Re: How To Join Politics by Raylight2(m): 10:32pm On May 19, 2018 |
mathinips: HOW TO JOIN POLITICS
Having convinced you that you can actually be actively involved in politics without contesting elections, let's consider the steps you need to take to get started.
1. Identify your Ward: The ward is the smallest unit of Government in Politics. The Political Head of a Ward is called Councilor. Every politician must compulsorily be a card-carrying member of a political party at the ward level. This however is with the exception of those who choose to contest election as or support independent candidates. Your ward is not necessarily your home town but the locality where you will most conveniently carry out your political activities. It is also advisable that you also register with INEC as a voter in this ward.
2. Make the Choice of Political Party: Consider the available political parties in your area and make a choice. I advise you study the manifesto and constitution of the party you want to join and agree that you align with her. Unfortunately, in Nigeria's nascent democracy, ideology is not well defined in the existing political parties, therefore, they almost share basic ideologies.
3. Get involved in Ward activities: The least you can do as a politician is to attend your ward meetings. Get deeply involved at this stage. Contribute at meetings and assist once in a while in footing party bills either in kind or cash. This not easy and takes time and plenty of efforts. Once in a while, sponsor refreshments at meetings or volunteer to transport some members to meetings or other activities.
4. Identify like-minded believers in the party to relate with: This is very important as decision are taken in politics based on majority of opinions. It is important that you align with your own class of people to ensure that decisions taken are not to the disadvantage of your interest.
5. Relate Well With The leaders: That you want to make changes in the politics of your environment does not mean castigating existing leaders. Celebrate them for the good they have done and be silent on their evils, at least for a start. Success in politics is about who you know and not necessarily what you know.
6. Volunteer to be part of Campaigns/Party Activities: Every political campaign and political activity needs hard workers. If you want to get an idea of how politics really work, walk into any campaign office of a candidate and offer to help out. You'll likely be asked to do what appears to be menial work at first, things like helping to register new voters or making phone calls and/or test messages on behalf of a candidate. But if you do the job well, you'll be given more responsibilities and more visible roles in the campaign.
7. Pay attention to Political Information: Unfortunately many are political illiterates. Before you get into politics, you ought to know what you're talking about and be able to hold an intelligent and thoughtful conversations about the issues. Local politicians and indeed the community respect you when you have better information at hand. That alone makes you a point of reference in your locality. Therefore, read your local newspaper(s), statewide newspapers and national newspapers. Be alive on the social media for information.
8. Get involved in your Community: Attend Landlords/Residents meetings. Network with and be in good terms with local groups e.g The Vigilante, etc. Build coalitions dedicated to changing and improving your town such as the CDA or Tribal Unions. PTA meetings and Cooperative Societies are equally good places to be for upcoming politicians.
9. Build character and good name: A good name is better than silver and gold. As corrupt as our society is, a good name still speaks volume. Strive to build for yourself and generations after you a good name. In whatever capacity you are entrusted with responsibility, make a good opportunity to leave a lasting impression in the hearts of the people.
10. If you must contest, start small: There is no spirituality in insisting that certain offices are too small for you. Start from the grassroots and gradually work your way to the top. "All politics is local." and tomorrow one small boy will come and use gun and face u because you are in another political parry. Me I no fit o. |
