"MAFO LEADERS NOW DEEP ASLEEP AS FULANI HERDSMEN THREATEN BENUE" - Bat Hilary (SSA) The issue rising from Benue State government is quite appalling. The title of this article was called from the Facebook wall of Mr Bat Hilary, a special adviser to the governor on Social and Entertainment. Recall that the FULANI HERDSMEN menace was getting to an uncontrollable peak before a vibrant movement started to kick against the destructive intrusion of the Fulanis herdsmen. Amazingly a bill was passed and subsequently passed into law by his excellency, the executive governor of Benue State. Barely two weeks of signing the law, the Fulanis have threatened to invade Benue as they are considering the law to be against their economic activities in the state which originally does not belong to them. One would primarily think that, the government should do all it takes to ensure that all lives in the state are protected against foreign attacks especially the Fulanis who are determined to wreck havoc after the much they have done already. This singular update ("MAFO LEADERS NOW DEEP ASLEEP AS FULANI HERDSMEN THREATEN BENUE" - Bat Hilary (SSA) ) by the Senior Special Assistant to the governor has generated a lot of concerns from the public as comments flood his post all pointing to the fact... Read the comments below. 1. Hilary Bat Hills Nyikwagh, how do yo want them to react? Government have total control of security and its her primary responsibility. 2. Hilary Bat Hills Nyikwagh, I earlier emphasized this morning on similar position that our motives for peacefully coexistence with the nomads at our expense doesn't in anyway transcends weakness and shouldn't be taken for a ride. We all must push for a proactive stance to wholistically ensuring that the jihadists occupation to further incarcerate our people is brought to size. Any efforts from any group and individuals to this wise is appreciated. 3. Go ahead and do something. I mean you. Does Benue belong to only MAFO? 4. This post shows your level of understanding of the issues concerning this subject matter, you think it's about MAFO, the movement is not saddled with the responsibility to protect lives and property, but as a call of consciousness and concern for her people, MAFO did the needful as a pressure group. grow out of pettiness. 5. Do you want MAFO to arrest the cows? Are they police? Tell that the Chief Executive not MAFO, pls. Thank you amigo Nyikwagh Bat Hills Hilary. 6. Kai, ye Ka some appointees mba Gavment. Msugh Nyikwagh Bat Hills Hilary. MAFO was a child of necessity, what have you done in your capacity to respond to the Fulani attacks? Has it turn into a MAFO affair now? Just look at the comments above, you have succeeded in bringing insults to the government. It is better to say mute than attract misgiving comments to the government you are serving. Teryila Ibn Apine, we should better advice some people to concentrate on their given assignments. There is much work to be done. Meanwhile, as the arguments trail in, the SSA said something that generates more heat. See below. Abyah Joseph, one would expect that the fire with which they mounted pressure for intervention and launched awareness campaign for the bill prohibiting open grazing law should be intensified now, especially as the bill is signed and the Fulani interest groups are rising against the state in protest. Why would MAFO go to bed at this auspicious time when their campaign would have been even more effective? Are they not happy that the bill has taken effect? Why are they silent in the face of all these threats? Why would they abandon a fight they started, half way? Any motives? More reactions are coming up. I have observed that the SSA should have left this issue to lie as it is creating a loophole in the government. No one seems to understand his point. Let's read further: 7. 8. With due respect sir, I see this article as rather been sarcastic. Primarily, it is the responsibility of government to create a conducive environment for her citizens. The government has all the machineries at her disposal to care for her people. Why leaving the machines to lie waste? The fight MAFO was quite commendable and we appreciate it. MAFO can only tell government about our needs, nothing they can really do to curb any intrusion into our sovereign state. The government has. Sir, MAFO had told the government what exactly to do, thank God we have the law now. Let government push further to enforce the law. If MAFO has to be the one to enforce the law, then let MAFO become a government agency saddled with the responsibility of enforcing the law to its full potential. Thank you. 9. You do not know that MAFO was formed because of the failure of government. It's totally unfortunate. But you are SSA. Why would anyone want to blame you? I say this very respectfully. So far it has not been easy as many people see the post to be a sarcasm mocking the futility of all the struggles MAFO put in to ensure the government do needful in protecting lives and property in the state. via: http://www.benuereporters.com/2017/06/benue-security-gov-ortoms-senior.html |
There is no country like Nigeria, in her diversified ethnicity, they have been able to be united and are headed for failure year after year. I go to church, I am a Christian by all standards. I believe in eschatology. But what I will never agree with is the gullible nature of some Nigerians who are given to spiritualizing everything. Who on earth told you that what we re facing in this part of the globe is universal? It's not! Nigeria is blessed in all ramifications, and has the capacity to satisfy every of her citizen. Better stop associating Nigeria's plight with "End time". In as much as we're in the end time, it does not permit us to suffer. There are people enjoying your wealth. After all the end hasn't come, so why should we suffer. As a matter of fact, we won't be here to suffer. We're suffering now because we've been sold out to the selected few who think themselves above us. They pay themselves their salaries in "advance" and pay its workers who take peanut in "arrears". That's to tell us that these people have taken us for fools. What does it take to live optimally that we do not have? We have everything. Remember, whenever selfishness is in play, things go wrong. Does the government consider diversifying the economy? Just because they want to rich fast and gather enough for their never-to-come generation, they are resting and enjoying while the masses are seeing hell. Does the government care about giving qualitative education to her youths? Many youths go through the four walls of education, but they do not have anything to show for it. BLAME THE GOVERNMENT. Why won't you blame the government when education is not given priority in the national budget? We only have standing walls with no basic facility to aid learning, the abstract nature of things we learn in school cannot help retention. We only create image that fades even before we think of putting them in proper use. You think they do not know, I will tell u they know, and that's the reason why, they send their dull children to overseas schools to learn, and when they come back, they sit in the personnel department to give employment. (a 25years old boy asking a 40years old man stupid questions all in the name of employment) Does the government care about your health? Hell NO! If they do, then our hospitals should have been fully furnished to be able to care for them. When they have headache, they run to Spain, UK or wherever who knows to take paracetamol. When you look at all these, you find out that Nigeria's problem is more of man-made than universal economic decline as it is widely believed. I speak to the youths, it's high time we stood to take our future by the horns. There is no DEMOCRACY. So I cannot wish you happy celebration. I don't know about you. Muslims around the world are coming to Jesus Christ in great numbers through dreams and visions. Writing for Charisma News, Michael Snyder shares the stories of a number of Muslims who had supernatural encounters with Christ. One such story is that of Abu Radwan, a Muslim man who says Jesus appeared to him in a dream. Radwan’s story was shared at PRI: Radwan and his family are Syrian refugees who sought refuge in Lebanon. “Of course it was a difficult decision,” Abu Radwan says. “I was born into a Muslim family.” The family is from the city of Homs in Syria. They sought refuge in Lebanon at the beginning of the war. Then two years ago, Abu Radwan says Jesus appeared to him in a dream. “I started going to the church,” he says. “I believed that Jesus was coming to help us, to save us.” Another story is the miraculous conversion story of a former ISIS fighter who said he had a dream of a man in white telling him, “You are killing my people.” The Muslim man was given a Bible by a Christian man he killed. He began to read the Bible and, in a dream, heard Jesus invite him to be one of His followers. Via: http://www.benuereporters.com/2017/05/muslims-turning-to-christ-in-great.html |

A rapper and former drug smuggler who was deaf in one ear, found God after being healed by a preacher in a ‘Damascus Road experience.’ Transformed character Mark Edwards has now set up a Friday night youth club in Sutton. The born-again Christian got sucked into the wrong crowd after being kicked out of school, and by the age of 19 was smuggling huge stashes of cannabis into the country from Amsterdam. Mr Edwards says the emotional strain of his parents splitting up caused his life to spiral out of control, and at 17 he was venting his anger by rapping on the illegal rave circuit. The performer eventually lost all hearing in his left ear after standing too close to the speakers, only for evangelist Ram Babu to return it to him years later as hundreds of worshippers looked on. The rapper said: “I haven’t always been a Christian. One of my friends invited me to an event at the Church of the Christ and the King in Brighton. “I was an atheist and really reluctant to go. “There must have been about a thousand people there. This guy called Ram Babu was a guest speaker and he started praying and prophesising. “I thought he was mental, but then he pointed at me. He knew I was deaf in my left ear, and said- ‘God wants to heal you.’ “There was no way he could have known I was deaf. I used to keep it a secret, so the people I was with didn’t even know. “He told me to come down. Then he told me ‘God loves you.’ “All I remember after that is blacking out, and when I came back round I could hear clearly out of both ears for the first time in years. “I was converted, it was a Damascus Road experience, just like when Saul was converted when he was on the way to persecute followers of Christ.” The musician now makes Christian rap music, with song titles such as Awesome God and Heart of Worship, and says he aims to provoke people and encourage them to think for themselves. He continued: “I was a rapper first, religion came later. When I found my faith, Christian messages naturally followed in my music. “I don’t think religion is about being told what we have to do. People seem to think religion is all about rules, but really it is just about having a healthy relationship with Jesus.” Mr Edwards is now on the leadership team at the Sutton Christian Centre, and has recently launched a new Friday night youth club called Legacy. Its runs from 8pm-10pm at the group’s centre at 25 Tate Road in Sutton, with up to 40 children from different backgrounds attending each week. The session are open to 11 to 17 year olds. Mr Edwards said: “We have had a great response to Legacy. We do it on a Friday night to keep them out of trouble. “I know when I was that age what I got up to wasn’t pretty.” via: http://www.benuereporters.com/2017/05/how-deaf-drug-dealing-atheist-radically.html |
President Buhari, having spent over 50 days in a London hospital came home with some health issues. This is evident as he has been virtually battling with the condition. This is not unconnected with the recent development as he could scarcely be seen in office and even absenting from Federal Executive Meetings, hence, he has been working from home. So the big question! Should his excellency, continue being the president amidst his health crisis? What ever we say here is just an opinion. Please, give your honest opinion. Congregation Of Father David Gréa In Tears As The Popular Catholic Priest Confesses He Has Fallen In Love And Wants To Marry ‘I am your father,’ says the caption on the tweet about Father David Gréa posted by the Lyon Catholic church centre on Twitter. It echoes Darth Vader’s comment to Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. Now Gréa, who with his youthful good looks and approachable demeanour, has become something of a poster boy for the French Catholic Church, is leaving his post as priest of Saint Blandine in Lyon in order to marry. He had been at the church for six years. Gréa has been discharged from his priestly functions by Cardinal Barbarin and a dispensation from his vow of celibacy will now be sought from the Vatican. Some parishioners wept as the Lyon diocese’s Vicar General Patrick Rollin read a letter from the 40-year-old priest at mass on Sunday, outlining his reasons for going – that he has met a woman and wants to get married. The Lyon diocese said that the priest had left the parish for a time of ‘discernment and retreat’. Cardinal Barbarin himself is to attend the church and take services at the start of March and a new priest will be appointed soon. ‘The diocese wants this beautiful community to pursue its journey according to its charism and its vocation. Cardinal Barbarin invites everyone to pray for Father David and for the parishioners of Sainte Blandine,’ the diocese said. Gréa is one of the priests behind the ‘new look’ Masses with the praise team Glorious that are criticised by some conservatives for not being traditional enough. Gréa’s thesis at seminary was on the theology on Cardinal Newman, the High Church Anglican who converted to Catholicism. In his resignation letter, published by his church, he wrote: ‘For nearly six years now, I have lived with you. Together, we patiently sought to live and proclaim faith according to what God expected of us, for this place and for this time. We have praised God at the heart of our church, seeking to adopt an accessible and relevant language to transform our hearts and our weeks. ‘Thus, we have allowed many people to return to the Church and be well, to hear the Gospel freshly and to be renewed. We have developed a lively praise, Alpha tracks and many initiatives, especially a beautiful welcome and wonderful fraternal ties. I have lived with you my finest years of ministry and I thank God for all these beautiful moments, at the same time that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.’ He said he had been happy as a priest and was convinced he was called by God ‘for this beautiful ministry’. But some time ago, he began building a relationship with a woman he believes God is calling him to live with. ‘I discover an unexpected joy that seems to me in the continuity of what I have lived until then, by giving my body and soul to your service. ‘I wished to be in truth with the Church by speaking of both my joy of being a priest and my desire to marry. ‘So I told the cardinal and we talked about the idea of a dialogue with the Pope. This one-on-one meeting could take place. He listened to me with kindness and honoured my approach to integrity. Then the Pope and Bishop Barbarin exchanged and our bishop asked me to take a moment of discernment and retreat. ‘It’s a sadness for me not to be able to finish the year with you and I imagine you are sharing it. I would have liked to speak to you today orally, as I did every Sunday. ‘I am witness to your love for God and I know that you are seeking to put Jesus at the centre of your life. I have seen our community grow in numbers, but above all in faith, change our attitude and become involved in prayer and service. I have seen Christians become truly adult in the faith. That is why I want to express my admiration and gratitude, especially for the faithful engagement of many of you. ‘I thank God for the work he has been doing for many years with Saint Blandine. I trust that God will accompany the team leading the church, and Father Arnaud, a friend who is dear to me, and who has agreed with his superior to be more available until the summer. ‘I pray for our church, remembering these words that we hear at every Mass: “Truly it is right and good to give you glory, to offer you our thanksgiving, always and everywhere.”‘ Conservative commentator Chris Gillibrand told Christian Today: ‘In the attempt to imitate modern culture, the Church is eventually dissolved in it. The Church is there to save souls, not to make people feel good. Christ was counter-cultural. Christians continue his mission when they are as well.’ Credit: http://soulzmp3.com/2017/02/ive-fallen-in-love-i-want-to-marry-popular-catholic-priest-confesses/
