Romance / Real Story Behind The Viral Video Of Teenage Girl Beaten In Makurdi by Rayloverscrib: 5:55am On Mar 24, 2020
The viral video of a teenage secondary school girl beaten by boyfriend in Makurdi which drew so much attention has been verified, and the real story below.

Dooshima Ella Terwase, who was mercilessly beaten by her boyfriend Moses Chiutar a.k.a Junior (with Facebook account name: King Marret De Entertainer), is a final year secondary school student.

She told me that on Wednesday night, 18th March, 2020, Junior, who had come home from Caritas University Enugu, where he is undergoing studies called her to his house to resolve a dispute that brewed in the course of their relationship. She suspected that she had conceived for Junior.

According to Ella, she had exams to write and put off the visit till that fateful Friday, 20th March, 2020. Initially, Ella said she turned down the request but Junior’s friend Precious Blessing (Facebook name: Prëshy Ïbilë – it was Precious that recorded the video) persuaded her to come for settlement.

“So on Friday I went there. I sat outside and he (junior) invited me into the house that we should settle the matter before his mother comes back. I told him to tell me what he had for me but he insisted that I should come in.

“To avoid drawing attention, I went in with him. They were four – Junior, Tosin, Precious and the other guy – Eskay. While we were talking Precious was recording and was saying that see these people now talking as if they have no problem,” Ella narrated.

She explained that Junior would then pull a short gun on her but then reassured her that he was only frightening her. Suddenly, Junior’s countenance changed and he went physical on her.

Ella further said Eskay told Junior to beat her up so that she will learn and while Junior was beating her, it got to a point when Tosin held her from behind, allowing Junior the chance to beat her more and Precious would later open the door for her to run out.

Curiously, Junior’s trick to put fear into the teenager worked. Ella did not come home after the incident.

“I was afraid to tell Mum,” Ella said. Ella’s Dad is no more.

When asked how she came to know that the video was online, she said calls began coming in from her friends that they’ve seen her in a video online. “Some of my friends wanted to react but I told them not to put me into further problem.

“Yesterday (Saturday, 21st March, 2020), Junior called. He began calling till in the afternoon but I did not pick his calls. When I later picked, he was pleading that I should help to protect him,” Ella said.

According to her, Precious recorded the video, transferred it to Tosin, who first posted it (online).

Junior assaulted Ella for saying he is responsible for her condition (pregnancy)

Now, having identified Ella, we are heading to the Police to officially lodge a complaint.

Foreign Affairs / Trump Signs Bill To Mark 'religious Freedom Day' In Public Schools by Rayloverscrib: 5:53am On Jan 17, 2020
President Trump is set to mark Religious Freedom Day by signing an executive order expanding "Constitutional prayer" in public schools-- just one of the reasons why his re-election is so important to Christians, Stephen Strang, the founder and CEO of Charisma News, told Fox News.

The author of "God, Trump, and the 2020 Election: Why He Must Win and What's at Stake for Christians if He Loses" said Trump is pushing back against an anti-Christian culture with his new action.

"I think that the hatred against Donald Trump can only be explained in spiritual terms," he said. "Christians call it spiritual warfare."

He explains Christians said "enough is enough" and were praying for a leader, and Trump is the "very unlikely person" who "has become a champion of religious liberty."

Strang added, "Who would've thought that a New York billionaire that is a TV celebrity would become a champion of religious rights or become president of the United States?... I think he's been a great leader but he doesn't get much credit for it."

After the now-retired Christianity Today editor-in-chief, Mark Galli, called for the removal of Trump from office, the Trump 2020 campaign launched Evangelicals for Trump at a Latino megachurch in Miami.

Trump won white evangelicals by more than 81 percent in the 2016 presidential election, according to exit polls, and Strang predicts he "absolutely" will earn their support again in November.

"I think his evangelical percentage is going to go up," Strang said.

Romance / Refugee Porn Is Taking Over Germany (VIDEO) by Rayloverscrib: 12:55pm On Jan 16, 2020
Refugee porn is eating deep into the lifestyle of Germans as reported by media houses in Germany. This is so disgusting as refugees from different camps within the country are turned to sex slaves after being hired from their pimps. To survive, female refugees from the middle east are seen sleeping with German men for money.

The heartbreaking part of the refugee porn acts is that the sex sessions with the refugee is usually videoed and uploaded on different porn websites for viewing by other internet users all over the world. To prove that this is becoming a trend, the search term ‘Refugee porn’ has a very high volume in Germany currently. This new trend is not in any way different from other acts that are considered as ‘neglect for human value.’

The refugees who are predominantly middle east citizens are in Germany for refuge as a result of high level of terrorism in some affected areas. Syrian woman are the most victims of this Refugee sex slavery perpetration ongoing in Germany.

Education / WAEC/NECO 2021-2025: Major Themes In 'no Longer At Ease' By Chinua Achebe by Rayloverscrib: 12:09pm On Feb 27, 2019
One of the many books written by Chinua Achebe that addresses the many ills of Nigeria and Africa as a whole is No Longer At Ease. It is recommended by WAEC/NECO for the 2021-2025 examinations.

I have published the comprehensive list of the harmonized WAEC/NECO Literature syllabus for 2021-2025 examinations. You should take a peep here: http://www.pencraftpedia.com/harmonized-waec-and-neco-literature-syllabus-texts-for-2021-2025/

Before we go into the themes of No Longer At Ease, lets us quickly look at some basic information about the book.

Question: Who is the author of No Longer at Ease?
Answer: Chinua Achebe

Question: When was the book written?
Answer: The book was published in 1960 (during the transition era from colonialism to Independence in 1960).

Question: How many pages does the book contain?
Answer: 154

Question: What’s the genre of the book?
Answer: Fictional prose (satire)

Setting: Location (Nigeria) Time setting (post colonial era, see introduction below for more information about the time setting of the book).

No Longer At Ease
Ok, so let us now look at the themes of No Longer at Ease

Introduction
In discussing the themes of No Longer at Ease, it is worthy of note that the book raises a major concern about colonialism and the post colonial era of Nigeria. The concern raises its hand at the reality of Nigeria’s Independence after the harsh rule of the British colonial masters. Although the relevance of the book as touching the happenings during the colonization period of the Nigerian state is questioned, it has a bearing with these two periods.

Colonialism
The subject of colonialism is not specifically dealt with in the book, yet it is still pervasive and significant as the events of the novel take place in the last days of the British rule in Nigeria, and they reveal the tensions presented between white and black society alike, politics, religion, and character. Chinua Achebe has very strong views on colonialism, this quite obviously, he expresses them in the novel through his condemnation of whites as either grotesque, cruel, ignorant, or immoral, as well as his depiction of the negative impact white culture has on Nigerians (such as Obi). The Nigerians are clearly superior to their colonizers in their values and social mores and norms, but they still must navigate the waters of being second-class citizens in their own country. Every choice makes or has made for him is a product of colonialism.

Identity
Particularly, Obi’s perception, character and views about colonialism and basic choices in the novel all speak volumes about his identity. The community he comes from actually values tradition and norms. This helps him to stand out as portrayed in his assertive nature of not taking bribes and staying faithful to Clara. But at the end of the day, he proved to be a weakling, with his real human nature exhibited fully. His character of pride, and ignorance were fully shown at the end of the story. Another striking identity of Obi is his lack of strong wills and lasting goals to help him get to where he wants to be.

Culture
In No Longer at Ease, Chinua Achebe paints the perfect picture of both Black and White cultures. He presents the white’s culture as a culture that is deadening, soulless, and immoral. Achebe has a better view of the Black culture as lifting, and sustaining, if this is a hallow effect, I do not know. Drinking, sex, dancing, and bribery are all associated with the white man’s world, and the white neighborhood where Obi lives in Lagos is compared to a graveyard. Obi and his father love the written word of the whites, which, as symbolized by mounds of paper, is full of sound and fury. Nigerian culture is associated with a valuing of the past, communal support, tradition, and loyalty. However, for all of his touting of the values of Nigerian culture, Achebe does acknowledge that it is very much mired in the past and cannot yet evolve; Joseph calls himself and Obi “pioneers”, and Obi realizes how ridiculous it is to either pay for a wife or be denied marriage to a wife of one’s choosing. Obi is caught between two cultures, wherein lie his difficulties.

Corruption
One of the major ills of this era was corruption as it spread across the length and breadth of the whites and blacks respectively. It is common with the senior service and the white bureaucracy as a whole. The more appealing part of this theme is how Achebe opens the novel with Obi’s encounter with attempts to be bribed, although Obi later fell for it, but it was difficult to get to him to accept it.

Hypocrisy
Hypocrisy is another theme mostly portrayed by the whites. Mr Green typically depicts this ill so well in his actions and words against the blacks especially because the (blacks) take bribe. But on the other hand, the whites are so deep in taking bribe. Obi remarked how the whites set up off time periods to benefit from, but would always complain when the blacks take advantage of such periods. The English love to complain about the Nigerians for the same things they do themselves or claim to value.

Education
Throughout the book, Achebe presented education as something desirable to attain. Obi is depicted almost as the savior of his village when he gets the scholarship to go abroad. Education is clearly seen as the only tool that can be used to fight colonialism to the finish.

If you find this helpful, please share this your friends and mates.

Celebrities / Scary Revelation About 'shaku Shaku Dance' You Must Know by Rayloverscrib: 10:51am On Aug 30, 2018
A prophetic and professional instant visual artist has revealed the wholesome revelation about the popular shaku shaku dance steps. He revealed that the Shaku Shaku dance originated from the spirit of BONDAGE as the word itself is coined from Shackles which means in chains or bondage.

In his words, he said;
The word SHAKU SHAKU was actually gotten from the word shackles, which means chains or hand/leg cuffs.

I've heard a lot of people say "any dance goes in God's presence" I just shake my head when I hear such because God is principled and will not take some things we do, he cannot adjust his standard for any reason.

Sincerely, I was in the gang of the dance too but always wondered about its origin. There was a time I read that DAB means Demonstrating Anti-Christ Bow, now it's shaku shaku that when dancing it, you put your hands at the back like handcuffs, you bring it to the front like handcuffs, you take it to your ears again, you then do your head like someone with coccidiosis. This dance defines all dimensions of slavery/bondage.

Let us ask ourselves these questions:
What is the efficacy of the dance?
What's the origin of the dance?
What was the inspiration behind the dance?

Fine, God's grace is sufficient for us but WISDOM IS APPLICABLE TO DIRECT and in all your getting GET WISDOM. A lot of Christians put themselves in some bondages they shouldn't be because they are imitating some rubbish. God will keep protecting us o.

Study the picture below.

Politics / President Buhari Symbolically Hands Over Power To Social Democratic Party (SDP) by Rayloverscrib: 2:34pm On Jun 07, 2018
President Buhari symbolically Hands Over Power To Social Democratic Party (SDP) Ahead of 2019 Elections - Samuel Gar

The heavyweight and astute Benue state governorship flag bearer under the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has said that President Buhari symbolically handed power to the Social Democratic Party ahead of the 2019 general elections.

The statement he posted on social media was a reaction to Buhari's press statement yesterday declaring 12th June as the new democracy day for Nigerians.

"President Buhari's press statement yesterday, Wednesday, June 6, officially instituting June 12 as Nigeria's democracy day, and his conferment of the highest national honour of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) on SDP's presidential candidate in the June 12 elections (Late Chief MKO Abiola) is a spiritually significant handover of the presidency to SDP in 2019"

Pastor Samuel Gar pointed out that SDP wanted to change the face of Nigeria for better, but was prevented by the then Military government which annulled the election that had the late MKO Abiola as the winner. He further stated that this will also be material to the SDP taking over power in Benue state come 2019.

"This is so that SDP can do what it was prevented from doing for Nigeria in 1992!!! God is restoring that mandate at the Federal Level, and SDP Benue State will equally take over power in the State to GO ON with the Party's phenomenal God-given revivalist programs and projects!"

President Buhari yesterday declared 12th June as the new democracy day as it holds more significance to Nigeria's democratic walk since 1999. This automatically invalidates the usual May 29th.

Politics / [MUST READ] Man Blasts Nigerian Government, Drops A Note On Worker's Day by Rayloverscrib: 6:29pm On May 01, 2018
The international workers day is an important day that seeks to celebrate and recognize the effort of workers to the development of their various circles. It is indeed a fragrant honour to fall into this category.

In every society, there are workers, who selflessly work to see to the actualization of their organizational goals and objectives. It’s this attitude that is celebrated on this day. The attitude of selflessness, devotion and commitment to duties at all levels.

Internationally, there are best practices to keeping it fit with the workforce, this is in terms of wages, incentives, welfare, prompt payments of salaries and dignity of labour. This indeed has been the major spotlight of workers day celebration worldwide.

The workforce in the Nigerian setting has always raised a major concern for every well meaning Nigerian. The plight of her workers has gone up so very high that if not nipped in the bud, would create a very vast difference from what is taken at the international level. If Nigeria would so crave for development, then, it should take into consideration the welfare of its workers, for no nation can rise above the status of her workers, the government at all levels should do all it can to keep at par with international best practices of recognizing the effort of its workers and reward them accordingly. But unfortunately, the opposite has always been the case.

Nigeria would be stuck in the bane of underdevelopment for a very long time, unless, its workers are treated with respect and honour that is due them. From the working period until retirement, the Nigerian workers have always been at the budding stage, never graduated from that level, they hardly get promoted, they are owed salaries for months, sometimes more than a year. Benue state is a typical example, especially the civil service. Their rights are not considered and interests not protected.

The Nigerian minimum wage of N18,000 on the other hand is laughable. In a country where infrastructures are at a scarce level, and individuals have to source out for day to day living, (housing, transportation, communication, medical care, power, foods, portable water, etc) are all at a distant point from reach. Can you see why Nigeria is developing at a pace that is not commensurate to the fast growing world? How can it grow when the bill for electricity in a month triples the minimum wage? How can Nigeria grow when the minimum wage of her workers is not even enough to cater for a sizable family?

On this day, I salute the Nigerian workers who in spite of the daring economic challenges they have marooned in, have always lived up to expectations, and shown resilience, tenacity and courage. I therefore call on the government to embrace the modern day realities of accepting best labour practices as contained in the International Labour Organization, such trends that will awaken the spirit of commitment in her workers. If Nigeria ever wished to keep up to par with international best practices, then there must be an awakening.

Happy workers day.

You better wake up so you don’t suffer the Nigerian kind of change.
Theoretical change.

“3 refineries working! (They must be) located in space. Defending killers!

Politics / Middle Belt Youths Give Herdsmen Quit Notice To Vacate Region Before October 1 by Rayloverscrib: 12:24pm On Aug 13, 2017
A coalition of Middle Belt Youths has asked herdsmen to vacate the region before October 1 this year.

The youths under the aegis of Middle Belt Renaissance Forum, which met in Abuja over the weekend, threatened total war at the expiration of the ultimatum.

The meeting which was attended by representatives of youth groups from all the states making up the middle belt region discussed extensively pressing issues confronting the area.

A communiqué by its convener, Comrade Jones Simon Alfa, urged governors from the region to be alive to governance and desist from harassing media practitioners.

“The Middle Belt Governors should sit up to their responsibility of governing the people who voted them to power instead of the sudden primitive accumulation of wealth at the detriment of the suffering voters,” it reads.

“The Middle Belt Youths will no longer take the recklessness of the Governors in arresting Media Practitioners, Bloggers and Social Media Crusaders e.g Kaduna Governor and that of Kogi who are clear examples.

“The region is not in any way part of the agitation for Igbo to vacate the north on October. We have been living with the Igbo peacefully and will not join in the call for secession

“All herdsmen should vacate the Middle Belt Region before 1st October, 2017 or there will be total war if they are not ready to live in peace.”

The group called on the core north to stop using the middle belt people in achieving what it said was selfish political, economic aims and objectives.

The youths stated that the middle belt people are not northerners.

Politics / We Have No Intention To Retrench Workers, Benue Gov Claims by Rayloverscrib: 7:03am On Aug 13, 2017
The Benue State Government has stated that it has no intention of retrenching or downsizing it workforce despite its huge wage bill and the prevailing economic recession.

The state Commissioner for Finance, Mr. David Olofu, who made this known wednesday in Makurdi said Governor Samuel Ortom was not disposed to laying off workers in the state service.

Olofu said the state government would rely on the outcome of the ongoing screening of workers being carried out by the committee on emergency on salary payment to have a true picture and figure of the state’s workforce.

Olofu said: “Retrenchment of staff and half payment of salaries are the options available to us as a government. But like you know the disposition of the governor, he does not subscribe to the options.
“This is because of the nature of the economy of our state. He is somebody who has lived all his live in Benue State and he knows that to every worker in Benue, there are about four to five dependents, so he has never, since I started working with him, considered any of those two options.

“Our neighboring states, of course went for one of those options but that equally has not solved the problem.
“So what we ask for is the understanding of our people. Let them know that when the situation improves, we will do everything to achieve and meet their needs.

“Like I have always mentioned, we need to make our agriculture more competitive which is where we have comparative advantage. Because as an investor, I would ask myself why should I come to Benue, what am I coming to do here that I cannot do in other states that have lower logistics cost?

“So we need to make our agriculture more competitive. That is what the government is doing now by opening up our rural areas. And in no distant time, we will surely get there and our people would have every reason to laud this administration.”

Crime / Muslim Policeman Caught Letting Criminals Go If They Pledge Their Souls To ALLAH by Rayloverscrib: 7:29am On Aug 10, 2017
Police departments across the nation are finally cracking down on Muslim infiltration. According to a 2013 report published by the Faith Prosperity And Freedom Foundation of America, the FBI discovered multiple plots for Muslims to fill police departments nationwide in preparation for the forced implementation of Sharia Law.

One of these Muslims was Camden, Massachusetts Police Department’s Muhammad al- Shabika Shaloub, a nine-year veteran of the force. Reports have been rolling in for the past week that the decorated officer has been lenient on everything from drug dealers to child molesters.

All he asks is one thing: that they convert to Islam. “He caught me dealing crack cocaine,” said one unnamed person who made a deal with the officer.

“He told me to start attending his Mosque and no one would be none the wiser.”
“He started screaming at me and calling me unclean,” said one woman who was nabbed in a prostitution sting.
“Then he told me if I gave myself to Allah I would ‘be spared.’ I made the deal, but I have felt dirty ever since. I was raised a Christian.”
“There are hundreds of reports like this,” said an internal affairs spokeswoman.

“He’s been doing this for quite some time. There’s no telling how many criminals he has put back on the streets.”

At least six of the people who were bullied into selling their souls to Allah have agreed to testify in exchange for immunity.

Politics / PDP Woo Obasanjo, Atiku, Saraki Back To PDP by Rayloverscrib: 2:41pm On Aug 09, 2017
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has initiated moves to woo former President Olusegun Obasanjo; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Senate President Bukola Saraki; and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara back to its fold.

Others targeted by the party include Senators Rabiu Kwankwaso, Aliyu Wamakko, Abdullahi Adamu, Danjuma Goje and Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal.

The party appointed Governor Nyesom Wike (Rivers) as chairman and Governor Ibrahim Dankwabo (Gombe) as deputy chairman of a reconciliation committee set up to woo the high profile politicians back to its fold.
National Caretaker Chairman Senator Ahmed Makarfi inaugurated the committee and urged it to deliver on the assignment.

The party also appointed a former Foreign Affairs Minister, Chief Tom Ikimi, as chairman of a newly inaugurated Disciplinary Committee. A former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Austin Opara was named as deputy.
Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is chairman of National Convention Committee with former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido as deputy chairman.

Makarfi urged the reconciliation committee to extend its assignment to the founding members of the PDP, stressing that the dragnet should be extended beyond those who left the in 2015.

Makarfi said those targets should “include President, Vice President, governors and former senate president, speaker of House of Representatives and all other former top ranking members in the party.
“Everybody that was in PDP at one time or the other should be reconciled with. It is not limited to pre-2015”.

Makarfi also mandated the committee to reach out to other individuals who have never been in the PDP, with a view to bringing them into the party, without any conditions attached.
He assured members that went through thick and thin with the party that they would not be sidelined. “We cannot foreclose opportunity for those who stayed behind during the turbulent period”.

Ikimi assured that former PDP members who defected to the APC would soon be back in the party.
He said: “APC is now dying and is almost dead. I am aware that they were able to win in 2015 because of members of PDP who defected there.
“I have it on good authority that key members who left PDP and joined APC are now returning to the party. I would like us to receive them with open hands and we will rebuild the party”.

The party also suspended the former factional Chairman in Anambra State Ken Emeakayi
National Publicity Secretary Dayo Adeyeye who announced the decision, said three days after the dissolution of all factional executive in the state in July, Emeakayi went ahead to summon a meeting of his faction, which was in violation of the decision of the National Caretaker Committee.

He said the committee issued him a query but rather than respond to the issue, Emeakayi disparaged the national leadership.
“His reply not only showed disrespect to the National Caretaker Committee, he disparaged the personality of the chairman and the secretary.

“He issued words of abuse totally unbecoming of a person who claimed to be holding an important office as chairman of a state chapter.
“We found this to be gross indiscipline. And today, we decided on this matter, in accordance with the provisions of our constitution.

“So, the National Caretaker Committee at its meeting today took cognisance of the violation of the Provision of Section 58 (1A, B, C, G, H, I, J, M) of the PDP Constitution 2012 (as amended) by Chief Ken Emeakayi.
“We took a decision to immediately suspend him for one month, in accordance with Section 57 (3) of the PDP Constitution 2012 (as amended),” Adeyeye said.

He added that the case of Emeakayi had also been referred to the National Disciplinary Committee for further disciplinary action.

Adeyeye said seven aspirants had obtained the PDP nomination and expression of interest forms for the November 28 Anambra State Governorship election.

They are Dr Alex Obiogolu, Mr Oseloka Obaze, Prince Okechukwu Emeka, Dr patrick Ubah, Mr Akolisa Ufodike, Lynda Ikpeazu and Mrs Stella Oduah.

Politics / Gov Ortom: "I Only Treat Snake Bites, I Don't Own A Snake Farm" Ortom by Rayloverscrib: 11:59am On Aug 01, 2017
With the story of the intercepted containers of snake, wall geckos, spiders and hairy frogs that has been linked to the governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom, it's becoming clearer who actually owns the containers.

In a statement released on social media by some acclaimed press crew to the governor has it that the governor was only into treating snake bites for people and that's like 20 years ago.

"... I don't have a snake farm here or any other place in the world. I started treating snake bites for peasant people over twenty years ago and if I had the power I would have killed all the snakes..."

As for the owner of the containers, as soon as we have further information regarding that, we will buzz you immediately, but for now, there has been no official linkage between the governor and the contraband.
