Religion / Re: No Prophet Married Only One Wife In The Bible - Olatosho Oshoffa by Raymond84: 2:59pm On Apr 28 |
In the Bible, there are instances of individuals having multiple wives, particularly in the Old Testament. However, it's important to note that the Bible does not explicitly endorse or condemn polygamy. Instead, it records various accounts of individuals who engaged in polygamous relationships, such as King Solomon, who famously had many wives. While polygamy was culturally accepted in some ancient societies, the New Testament emphasizes the importance of monogamous marriage. For example, in the New Testament, Jesus referred to the divine plan for marriage as being between one man and one woman, citing the Genesis account. Ultimately, interpretations of biblical teachings on marriage vary among different religious traditions and individuals. God1000: 1 Like |
Travel / Re: My Second Week As Bolt Driver by Raymond84: 12:03pm On Feb 14 |
You also have to limit unnecessary movements. For instance, if you drop a client at any Shoprite, ensure you wait for another order there before moving. Find a space in the parking lot, pack, and wait for the next suitable order. In the Bolt and Uber business, timing is crucial. Work on the road from 4 am to 11 am. Take a break from 11 am or 12 pm to 2 pm. If your house is nearby, rest there; otherwise, find a comfortable location, like under shade or in a restaurant. Park your car, eat, and relax. Another rush period for serious Bolt drivers is from 2 pm to 6 pm. While I don't encourage night work, but the peak times on Fridays, Sundays, and Saturdays are from 6 pm to 11 pm. 2 Likes |
Politics / A Short Life's Lesson From Plateau State by Raymond84: 7:24am On Mar 24, 2023 |
A Short Life's Lesson From Plateau... The Governor-Elect of Plateau State, Mr Caleb Mutfwang, was elected as Mangu Local Government Chairman in Plateau on February, 25th, 2014 and sworn in on March 3, 2014, but was removed from office by Governor Lalong on July 5, 2015, barely two months after he took over as governor. Lalong, who won election on the platform of the APC had, on June 5, 2015 sacked all the seventeen elected PDP Chairmen who still had more than a year to serve out their two-year tenure and replaced them with Interim Management Committees. The Chairmen were angry and dragged the governor to court to allow them complete their tenure but the governor stood his ground and forced them out of office. Mr. Caleb Mutfwang, who is now the Governor-Elect of Plateau State, became the face of the advocacy by the sacked LG Chairmen to reclaim their offices after he was made their spokesperson. But as fate will turn out, the same Governor Lalong, who forced him out of office in 2015, will be handing over to him as the new governor of Plateau State, come May 29, 2023. This classroom called life is full of lessons to make us humble in power, but many have refused to learn. They live and trample on others as if they know tomorrow, including those whose name means, "No one knows tomorrow." They that have ears, let them hear! Yours sincerely, Citizen Agba Jalingo. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Rinu: Scarcity Of Naira Is Only Going To Help Politicians Buy Votes by Raymond84: 2:38pm On Feb 15, 2023 |
Hopium:Now tell me why vote selling won't be a lucrative business for the voters. The politicians you want to starve have already accumulated sufficient new Naira notes for their election through the banks. That's obvious! In reality, if there are no changes to the country's current cash situation, the public may be more susceptible to politicians during the election because the politicians already have the new Niara notes in their possession for the election. Trust me, there won't be votes buying this time around; what you are about to witness is VOTE SELLING. Yes! It is true that the policy may not be contentious, but the execution leaves much to be desired. Proper planning is critical to successfully implementing a policy, even within an organization, let alone an entire country with over 200 million people. 6 Likes |
