victovrry:Hello Chances are the same hard drive jolted out of position. Or it's had a hard crash. Let's hope it's more of the former than the latter. First, get into your PC (if you can), then reseat the hard drive. If you find out the hard drive is seated properly then you might need to set boot priority If those didn't work, then RIP to your hard drive. sadly there are no ways you could rectify physical hard drive damages... |

Ehimzy:Hello. What you should be looking for should be a UK used. Programming and coding? Why not a core i5, even 4th Gen up would do. RAM, why not 4GB? and as for the storage, you can simply settle for 1TB or 500GB HDD. All that combines for 165k to 170k... Oh it's a Dell. ... NVIDIA gtx 1050Ti (it doesn't have to be) I have a feeling you're a gamer. Because you only mentioned programming and coding. But hey! Who says you can't get your spec exactly? No one! A budget of 250k plus would suffice. *cheers* |

LethargiQue:Hello. Simply go to this site- https://drp.su/en Once you're on that site, you will be required to download an installer. Once downloaded, run it. Then you will be automatically connected to drivers database of the drp site. The tiny program is expected to look through your entire computer and install matching drivers. Hope this helps *cheers * PS- there was a guy who has avoided clicking that link for 3 months because he felt I was promoting my site or something... Well he tried it 3 days ago and the sound of his system came up. He has been battling with sound for close to 6 months. |
franugo:From other cases I had late last year, the screen was what we had to change. We suspected other issues like the RAM et Al but alas we were wrong. Although their are no lines (visible) on the screen this gives us room for diagnosis. I'm on WhatsApp 08128714767. I'm in Lagos. Diagnosis is free. |
Viralmilez:Hello. 1st as a rule of thumb, get a laptop with a dedicated video memory at least 2GB NVIDIA Graphics or 2GB ATi Radeon Graphics. The There are those of 4GB dedicated video memory. But y'know those are 60%higher in price. 2nd, whilst it's not bad getting a laptop that uses HDD (Less expensive), you may want to consider getting one with SSD for faster operation (a bit more expensive). Finally, there are bulky laptops out there like the Elitebook 8560W, Dell Precision M4600, Asus ROG (earlier series) that are less expensive although bulky and less easy to move arround. You can go for something slim and sleek with same spec, recent generation Processor. They are ofcourse easy to carry arround and are more expensive. Now that you know the basics, your choice will now depend on your taste. I'm on WhatsApp on 08128714767 *cheers * |
franugo:Ok then. Could either be the screen or flex. Whats the model of your laptop? ... We could continue this conversation here 08128714767 if you wish. |
utibills:Hello. Are you able to boot in to Windows occasionally? |
franugo:Hello. Does it show any logo or write up on the screen before it shows this? |
lokojay1989:On a lighter note Let me help you predict what will happen next ![]() You discovered 1/2 is bad > you're using the other one >then the second probably goes capoot (due to complacency) >now it's 2/2 (and probably you saved one Series that night you wanted to watch ) > the system didn't turn up > you call "someone you know" in computer village > you talk and agree on price > he says you should come by 10:00am > But You show up at 6:00am .Seller senses desperation and changes tone > one of you goes mad at the other person... Either way he walks away with his RAM, you walk away with your money... You might actually buy. But just incase you don't... Here's what will happen : Keep reading... So out of frustration you walk out of Computer Village regretting why you ever knew this person in the first place (how wicked, inconsiderate and Non God fearing he is) then you vow you'll shine your eyes next time. But one thing leads to the other and you begin to think : maybe, just maybe buying the laptop sef was a waste of time, afterall its one miserable Core i3 or Dual Core which you have been dreaming to swap (or your people have been yabbing you to change). Maybe you'll just get another laptop... Maybe you'll hold on till when you save your three month salary then get that slim i7 you saw on OLX. In one word - you toss your laptop under the bed. Three months down the line and no savings for that data sub you always wanted, the daily stress, the work has totally made all thoughts about that Core i7 sip away. One day sha there was one document you wanted to quickly submit in a week time and you needed system badly, you didn't want to borrow (don't forget they've been yabbing you o). Then all of a sudden, like a revelation you remembered that Laptop you tossed under the bed 90 days ago! Well, you say to your self, "shebi its just RAM na" You ring "your person" in computer village and the following convoy ensued : You: How far na Your person(YP) : I dey o... Na wa o, dis one wey you call me... You just dey para for me dat day abi? You: No nah no be like that, you see enh... No vex... Just tell me if e dey make I come Carry am. YP : Oya come with 2k o You : 2k for Wetin na, after all that has happened! Ahn Bros nawa for you oo. 1500. "your person now needs the money, it's time for revenge so you capitalise on that. YP : oya dey Come. Which side you day? Long story short - you guys meet and test the RAM... are you dreaming... The system didn't display? Are you kidding me? Well, all hell is let loose as your junior Bros & Sis are in hot soup today... Afterall you were told something poured on the laptop like liquid or stuff... Needless to say it was fixed but instead of 3k or 2k for a RAM chip you could have easily fixed 90 days ago , your friend is now telling you to "thank your stars " that they just collected 10k to fix "one tin one tin" and you bought those RAM too. Hugh, Your laptop is back now and just like the old days, the series and movies are back! Funny as the above may be, I do believe that when it comes to electronics, leave no minor issue to chance. You want to replace something, replace as soon as you can, not when all parts die...Second- Electronic issues can really put someone in desperation mode, so, while you're shopping, keep calm as you make you purchases - be in control |
sexymonkey:I'll advise you don't. But if you insist... Let's break it down Here we go Current value of the PC is 30k to 35k. That is for something fully functional, no issues for the next 3-5 years. Now for yours once the VGA can no longer be resurrected, you'll have to change the board which is about 15k to 20k if it's still available in the market. Let's do the maths... For the sake of fairness to the buyer, you'll give him/her that chance of getting the board. So, 35k-20k=15k (don't worry my math is good ) I no wan talk again ooo ... and yes 15k is what you should let it go for... The higher you go the more criminal it becomes (lol, that sounds like a new law of physics) *cheers* |
sexymonkey:If it's a RAM issue, then I'll say replace the RAM and go ahead and sell. But if it's a VGA issue then just fix (it's a temporary fix) and use personally while you await the death of the X1000 in about 6 months to a year - the x1000 must have really served, so don't forget to bid it a befitting good bye when the time comes . Orrrrr You can sell and receive a series of calls about same issue. I don't want to imagine the torture of calls like these. *cheers * BTW - I guess you should know what to do by now |
sammyobi584:I think @ sexymonkey needs to know the exact problem first thereafter the cost. |
Kennyflyair:Hello there. As a technician, (at least 2yrs plus-full time), I'll say I have changed more seagate hard drives than WD hard drives. Probably because of their popularity. But soon enough WD became popular here and what did I observe ? - out of 10 bad hard drives, I had gathered, 2 were WD, 2 Fujitsu (do they still make hard drives ), 1 was Toshiba, and 5 - yes I mean 5 were seagate! Well, seagate may have improved, but based on experience, people reported less crashes on the WD I sold them than seagate. Oh, By the way, it's " WD My Passport" . "My Passport" is one in a series of their external hard drives. Although the durability of your hard drive will depend on the way you handle it- this should be No. 1 then the rest follows. Am I contradicting my self? No. The best Hard drives in the world still have moving parts and are sensitive to jilts and jolts - smash them and they will crash. Don't eject properly and they will crash. So first, go for WD, next handle with care. *cheers* |
Franky826:Hello. Luckily for you, you do not need any extraordinary tools to do your DIY troubleshoot. You can check by trying another battery on your system to be sure it's not the battery. If after trying another battery, you still experience the same issue, then try another charger. ... It's a simple logic game, just to rule out the bad guy (battery or charger) and change it. Ofcourse, after trying the above with no success, it's time to get into the system... That's so not DIY. Let's hear from you... *cheers * |
lokojay1989:Hi. Are there any beeps or blinks. If yes, how many and at what intervals? |
And I almost forgot Call /WhatsApp on 08128714767 *cheers * |
Hello everyone. You might be wondering why the said brand new carrying a DDR4 RAM costs less than 160000. Here's a short story- The seal was broken It's still brand new, not registered, never been used. Pictures follow. I think the spec is pretty much summed up in the title.
|
y'know, what puzzles me is that you need the laptop. Oya make una drop offer ooo... I need some shock to-night |
ronvlaar:Hmmm.... This laptop eeennnh ...Try powering with only the charger, does it come up on a single press? |
Hello. Op, as a guide, you should consider upping your budget to NGN150000 to NGN170000 for 2GB NVIDIA, 1TB/8GB RAM system. Although I have a Dell inspiron 15-5000 series laptop, 500GB HDD /4GB RAM with 2GB NVIDIA Graphics. Price is NGN168000. Yes... It's a new system (days old) but the carton has been opened, so it devalued. PS- I have seen your budget. This above is only a suggestion. *cheers* |
