HiddenManna:In computer village you can get one for a token (usually NGN 200 to NGN 250). Getting the disk isn't the main issue-genuine or not. Please, back up, BACKUP, BACKUP your files on an external storage before attempting any formatting process. If you don't then it'd be really bad. Then you'll start looking for software to recover your files... Then it will be too late. This has happened so many times on this forum. The person will be like: "Thanks so much, I've been able to format my laptop but I can't find my files". Am like: " ... Don't let this happen to you ok *cheers* |
wongpre:Hello. The screen is gone >23k to get a brand new screen. The hinges can easily be fixed, you're not getting any replacements >6k Roughly 28k should get the whole stuff fixed. call/ WhatsApp >08128714767 *cheers * |
Tolulopefinest:Hello Let's not draw any conclusions just yet. Could be the RAM or some other minor stuff on board. Could also be as big as VGA. Let's run a proper diagnosis on it. |
elvischukie:Yeah, a working solution. Well, if you are not always bored with long tutorials then lests ride... It worked for 2 other people in this forum. My response to their request goes thus: Hello Before I go ahead with my suggestions, chances are 1 . You've tried the "turn on metred connection" and you probably didn't find it... No! I'm so sure you didn't find it2. You've also "disabled" auto-updates. Why is the word, disabled in quotes? Because that main download still goes on in win 10. *let's now move on... You're going to try one last thing- [b] tweaking the registry[b/] So, here we go > Press Win key+R > in the run box (I need a better name ), type "regedit" without the quotes. This opens the registry editor. In the registry editor, Navigate this path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\DefaultMediaCost Right click "DefaultMediaCost key" > select "Permissions" > this takes you to the security tab. On the security tab, click "advanced" button. Click the "change" button next to "Trustedinstsller". In the "enter object name" box, type Administrators, click the "Check Names" button to make sure you're typing the correct object.Click OK. On the "Advanced Security Settings for DefaultMediaCost" , check the "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects"Click Apply > OK. On "Permissions for DefaultMediaCost" , select the "Administrators group" , be sure to check the "allow Full Control" box . click Apply > OK. On the DefaultMediaCost key, there are different entries, including those for 3G, 4G, Default, Ethernet, and WiFi with their default data values: 1 or 2. data value 1 means that the connection type is non-metered, data value of 2 means that the connection type is metered. Double-click the Ethernet DWORD (32-bit) Value key, and change the value to 2. *Do same for Wi-Fi. >>>restart your laptop <<< This explanation I just gave is from an article on windowscentral treating the same issue. I must say it saved a lot of my Internet data. So before you contemplate a downgrade, consider this registry tweak. *If you still experience huge data consumption after the above tweak, then you can go ahead with your downgrade... To downgrade, you'll need a copy of Windows on DVD or flash drive. Ofourse, to create a bootable DVD or flash go here: https://www.poweriso.com/tutorials/how-to-make-win7-bootable-usb-drive.htm Then here's how to format to win 8: https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-clean-install-windows-8-or-8-1-2626254 as always, backup your files before any upgrade/downgrade/format ... and of course if you ever want to save yourself the whole stress of following a long tutorial - just hola on 08128714767 - I'm on WhatsApp. |

elvischukie:Windows 10 right? |
dammygoody:A full scan usually correct some minor errors instead of taking the last resort (formatting). If you must format please backup your important stuff. |
HiddenManna:Ok, so test 1 completed. Test 2. Start your laptop press F10 key hold on a while 15min to 20 min. Did it go off.? |
4lorunsho:Naaah. I don't. Whatsup with the free version? |
HiddenManna:Like I said, Select the first option from the list >safemode |
HiddenManna:Here's what you're gonna do We are going to be booting into safe mode. However we are not going to be doing so via those two screens. Here's how: power your computer, immediately begin to tap the F8 key until a list of options appears. Select SAFE MODE. Post the next screen that appears... That will determine our next move... |
wongpre:Hello. Thanks for developing interest in my services. When you say it freezes, does it go white on the screen? Does the mouse stop all of a sudden? As for the lines on the screen, it can either be screen or flex... So, 1&3 are relatively easy to fix. You see that number 3 ehn, we need to confirm if it's the screen or flex before we draw any conclusions. *cheers * update I Just took a closer, hard look at the screen, looks like tiny ink lines, am I right? If yes, then you'll replace the screen before the ink gradually spread. |
4lorunsho:Hello. You will need a recovery software to root this. Popular types include RecUva and Yodot. Put these in mind before initiating any recovery process. 1.Do not run the recovery software on the hard drive currently that is currently in your computer. What this means is that, if you want to recover files from your current computer, you must remove its hard drive, sleeve it and connect to another system as an external. 2. Never save your files on the current hard disk you are recovering from. 3. Recovery processes take a lot of time! I mean no exaggeration... A lot of time. First ensure your system is plugged in to a power source and that it isn't disturbed. In summary remove the HDD From your laptop, sleeve it into an external casing. Get another external where your recovered files will go... .you're definitely going to be doing this on another working laptop. Aaaaand possibly doing it overnight .. Did I just say overnight Yes I did. >>> Sorry man, I can imagine how hard this is on you! As always, to everyone who wants to run critical updates or format their system, ensure your important stuff are backed up <<< *cheers * |
HiddenManna:Hello. How long have you been using the PC? |
dammygoody:Hello. That's a critical error with the OS. You'll need to Re-install the OS. Before you do that please run a scan, a full scan with an Antivirus program. Cheers * |
Dolypson04:Hello. Before anything else, try un-installing and Re-installing the game. |
overdrive:Ok. Are you interested in diagnosis as soon as you can... Or you'd rather wait until a later date? |
sweetetlove:Hello. Well, you do not have to uninstall it. Simply dis-able it. And don't forget to turn off your Wi-Fi too. *cheers * |
overdrive:Will it be possible for you to bring your laptop over for further diagnosis? |
overdrive:Hello, I'm based in Lagos, Ikeja to be precise. Regarding your laptop, we wouldn't know what could be wrong until a proper diagnosis is run... Are there any beeps? |

Frezhkid10:Hello, First, stop using your laptop. Since you do not get anything done in 10 minutes. Another reason why you should stop is so you can save the hard drive or OS from a crash. Finally, there are a couple reasons why your laptop trips off after such a short period of time. Let's help you find out and fix it for a token. 08128714767 (WhatsApp /Call) or 08156654450 (Call) *cheers * |
MizterAccurate:Lol, I'm talking of what got burnt... Not the laptop. |
8PpuzFV:Hello. Thanks for asking first. Last time I checked, any device that can process information passes for a computer. However, on the basis of context, I want to believe that the Author of this thread intended it for laptops/ Deskrops/ Servers... and other related Items. Op hope I'm wrong. Meanwhile, your Issues should be well addressed in the phones section. *cheers* |
MizterAccurate:Hello. First of all, something got burnt. Second, because it got burnt, it will no longer work again. Third, because 1&2 happened it has to be replaced! So yes, if he's diagnosis led to that- he's correct. *cheers* |
bobbygkmc:Hello, 1st,your PC dropped (though lightly). This means something might have moved... Like the RAM Adjust the RAM... You should access the ram either through the back or from under the keyboard. Please do not do it in the kitchen ... And No, do not knife your system . If you feel you're gonna knife it....see a technician *cheers* |
elvischukie:Hello. A full feature Antivirus that protects you online and offline is the best. So, whatever the brand, make sure you've seen reviews of it doing the above job nicely. Note: limited versions or trial versions do not come with full features. So all you may have is probably protection within your PC, limited prevention. .... And yes they do come at a cost ![]() Ranging from NGN3000 to NGN5000 for single user. And upto NGN7000 for 3 users. I have the SWITZ brand of Antivirus. I'm on WhatsApp :08128714767 Or call: 08156654450 There's is no best- Just Install and update regularly *cheers* |
