Religion / Re: Again, London Stops Ashimolowo’s N16bn Church Project by RDynamite(f): 2:10pm On Feb 16, 2008 |
“There were significant concerns about the ability of the applicants to get the large numbers of people involved to and from the site, both for KICC events and other events, whilst not being too dependent on private vehicles. This was seen as affecting the ability of the local transport infrastructure to cope with a sudden increase in traffic movements. With limited public transport, overspill parking and an increase in carbon emissions from large numbers of visitors travelling into the area, the development would negatively impact on local residents. The committee also concluded that the lack of public transport means that the site is not appropriate for a community facility.” If it was in Nigeria, the above reasons will be minor. Britain do your thang! |

You guys get a grip abeg! We Nigerians hate it when people expose our dirty linen but we're never ashamed to do so. I hear una! Btw, Oprah was talking about scammers in Nigeria. She never said all Nigerians are scammers. You guys should stop being ignorant and trying to pounce on her for no good reason. Besides, what do you people expect the world to think of us when the #1 song in Nigeria is " Yahoozee" and the other useless song by Nkem Owoh, "I go chop your dollar". You guys really need to wake up and embrace your faults. Calling Oprah names and looking for who to blame is just dumb. Let's not even dig into this matter. I live in Europe so. . . Oprah, talks about almost anything on her show. Diet, diseases, family issues, new songs, movies etc. She's a woman with a great mind. She doesn't manipulate anyone. She stands on her principles and that's what has brought her to this stage of her life. Yes, she's not married but what's wrong with an unmarried woman saying no to sexual abuse, domestic violence, marital unfaithfulness, etc? She has every right just like we singles on Nairaland voice our opinion on such matters. She knows what a perfect marriage should be like though she's not married. Bite off my head! She never encourages being a single mother. Instead, she'll make you realise that you have a right to walk out of an abusive marriage. What nonsense you guys talking about here? About Hip-Hop, how helpful is Hip-Hop if I may ask? Rubbish Oprah, carry go jare. |

Romance / Re: 34 Years Old And No Husband by RDynamite(f): 10:44am On Feb 15, 2008 |
ALERT-EFCC: Only a 'looser' will say something like "wetin deh the life sef". There's a lot in life to be achieved and enjoyed. You shouldn't let your situation control your mind. You shouldn't loose focus because you probably don't know how to handle a situation. There are best ways to handle issues but most times we all want the 'easy' way out and at the end of the day end up in a huge mess. What seems easy isn't easy most times. It only seems. The OP, has achieved something in life I may say. She has two kids of her own. Should have a husband but oh well. . . Now, she has a lot of work to do. She can't just loose focus because of a man who probably doesn't even intend to marry her. Men are very 'good' with relationships but talk about marriage and you'll know who you're dealing with. She has 2 kids to look after and therefore has to be very careful what decisions she makes in life 'cause any wrong move may affect the children. Children are very sensitive and need a lot of care and attention even when they're adults they still like and enjoy these things. But, what? you're telling her to stick to whatever makes her happy. In your own case EFCC, it's different. I agree you've seen a lot but shouldn't that make you wiser about life? You can afford to be nonchalant about life 'cause you don't have a husband and kids to care for and no goals I assume. You can afford to do anything that makes you happy and not care but when a woman has a family, I mean a responsible woman though, then she has to buckle up and set her priorities straight. After all, it's not worth living a useless life when you can have a better one. If the OP, wants to remarry, then she must find a serious dude who is ready for her and her children. Otherwise, it's pointless. |

Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: I Need A Disable Lady For A Good Relationship by RDynamite(f): 4:14pm On Feb 14, 2008 |
father ab: He specified he wants a disabled friend. It would be easier for him to be friends with someone around him, otherwise finding someone on the internet who may be thousands of miles away from him doesn't make sense. He could be friends with anyone on the internet. I don't talk anyhow.I think before I talk. May be you should pick that up from me. However, I still don't get this topic. He should go make the ones around him happy before coming to NL. You guys really need to stop this. |
Romance / Re: 34 Years Old And No Husband by RDynamite(f): 4:05pm On Feb 14, 2008 |
First of all, the topic shoulda read sumin like 'Divorced and searching for a new man'. When I saw the topic I rushed to tell you that my cousin got married at 34 in 2006 so you shouldn't worry but only to discover a whole new drama. Women and their emotions! Hang on! You 'left' your husband, left your boyfriend and now shagging your ex' friend. Feels like you sipping some complicated juice, innit? I don't know how "Yoruba people" are when it comes to this kind of situation and I don't care to know but if the man was my brother I'll want him to marry a woman without 'issues'. It's just better and no one has to take panadols unnecessarily. There's a lot of drama that comes with this kind of situation. I, for one don't have the nerves for such. Family wahala, Baba! However, I'll advise you to get a good job if you don't have one and look after your kids. Don't know what went on in the previous marriage but I hope your ex-husband contributes to the welfare of your children. Debo and Delta, dalu nu o! |
