Car Talk / Re: Five Things You Should Know To Avoid Being Defrauded In A Nigerian Fuel Station by realglob(m): 7:13am On Aug 03, 2021
drlaykay:
This your explanation hard o
Most of what is written there can only be detected by an experienced person, probably someone who has worked as a fuel attendant previously.
I don't know how I want to know when air is being pumped into my car since I don't live in the tank.
A long nozzle not emptying completely makes sense, but how do I prevent that?
Cut the nozzle to get the remaining fuel?

If metre is adjusted to dispense lesser than what is obtainable, how do we know?

If an old price is recalled, will it automatically reflect on the screen?

These are simply methods used in scamming us and not solutions

To save yourself of the stress and complexity of this post, ensure you pay keen attention to the meter display screen once it begins to read from zero you are safe.

When they recall let's say #1000 the meter will begin to read from #1000.

We once ran a petrol business and I have certain basic knowledge of the meter and all.
The last attendant that wanted to defraud me ended up losing.
I wanted to buy #3000 and he did not reset the meter and I allowed him, he had started dispensing when I call his attention to why he didn't start afresh and he denied it saying that he did, at that point, I told him to stop.
When I explained how much the previous customer bought and how he was supposed to drop the nozzle and input my price which he didn't do any, he apologized and started afresh. He dispensed fresh #3000 fuel for me for oga no vex.

Car Talk / Re: Having Issues With Your Car AC ,lets Discuss It Here by realglob(m): 7:56am On Jul 28, 2021
I once on my AC and I smelled wire burn and next thing was smoke from under my stirring. An electrician changed the wire and the next day same thing happened and I returned it to the same guy. This time he bought a stronger wire and rewired the burnt wire (a single wire that went to the compressor) since then it has not done that but I have also reduced hand in the way I on the AC out of fear.
My fear is that the guy never told me the cause of the wire burn and he just went ahead to change the wire.

What could be the problem?
I have someone who said it is the fuel pump and another said it is the gear.

Dear Mr . I Don't Care,
I hope this meets you well.
About this time last year, you had sternly warned your wards to
stay clear from the elections and its brouhaha.
You denied them the right to choice;
From the shackles of backwardness to greatness.
To you, Que sera sera;
Indeed, whatever will be, will be.

One year after,
7.5 VAT got nothing on you,
Herdsmen had not gotten to your abode just yet.
But, bandits along Kaduna/Abuja Expressway absconded with your beloved son.
Now, you wail and whisper to yourself; like 'Oshiobugie the wacko'.
Every time you see echo; 'It shall not be well with the General'

NEWSFLASH: Mister I Don't Care was seen on National Television blasting
the government for its inadequacies in tackling the security challenges at hand...

Literature / Fame by realglob(m): 2:04pm On Jun 04, 2019
8:45am, Room 47.

Inside a palatial suite off the coast of San Diego. Sun rays reflect through the windshield, towards the large four-poster bed where two ladies and a man snore on. The Persian carpet smelt of marijuana, with empty bottles of wine loitered around as ruminants of merrymaking which occurred in this very room last night.

Knock, knock! The door bang, as the man from the trio drag his tired legs towards the door to see who is it. “Sewa, we’ve got a problem.” Teriake, her manager blurt out, as she dash past the bicep man at the door to the direction of her boss. “And what is it this time?” the sleepy ebony beauty mutter as she relieve herself off the sheets, revealing a giant rose tattoo on her back. She made for the maple drawer and dole out wads of cash to her night companions, which would pass as payment for their pleasurable services, as they pick up their clothings, covered in smiles, they exit. “You need to see this…” Teriake continues as she drops an iPad from her fur sweater into the tiny hands of Sewa to see clearly for herself.

Adesewa Koffi popularly known as ‘Sewa’ is a recording artiste and vocalist who have grown so much in the entertainment scene and a voice to reckon with for almost a decade. Recently, she took the continent by surprise with a star-studded, ideological and awesome album ‘Elle dieu de l’afrique’ (She-god of Africa), which continue to buzz in the music industry to the extent of metamorphosing into a movement for the African woman.

Also, in the past weeks most music commentators and On Air Personalities (OAP) have been divided keenly on the argument

"Whether or not she is due for a Grammy?",

after her song ‘Chante Koko’ got nominated for Best Pop Vocal category in the upcoming Grammy Awards. Perhaps her fame was going beyond the shores of the continent, as she held concerts, tours cutting across Amsterdam, Manchester, Lagos, Yaoundé, Marseilles, and several others which saw her sleeping in one city and waking up in another. This is the situation of things for the young lady currently in San Diego.

“There is never a way of pleasing this people, any way, you gonna get your head drowning in the water while you struggle to save your goddamn self…” an infuriated Sewa blast out, throwing the device on the surface of the bed. Upon the realization that the content of the video has blackmailed her into yet another scandal. While she was busy making waves, controversies continue to trail her at the same time.

A week ago, the news had reported ‘Is this your icon?’ after she smashed cameras belonging to two photojournalists who had gone against her wish, to cover her charity ball in the city of Bamenda. Over the years, this same media continue to interfere with her private affairs, sexuality, whereabouts and so much more. Even though she wants none of it, and didn’t bargain for this as she stated in an interview with 'La Indomitables' late last year.

“I have never loved the fame and publicity that comes with being famous. Yes! I wanted the fame all along, but it was solely for my music and not me, not able to go to the market, hang out like every other Cameroonian out there. It’s sickening!”

She picks out a stick of Cuban cigar, lit it up and puff smokes into the air as she rests on her couch remembering her teenage days on the streets of Bamenda. When she was young, wild and free.

I'm still doubting that claim because I do not know any of such churches. If you know kindly tell me.

Politics / NIGERIANS DECIDE: VOTE WISELY by realglob(m): 9:55am On Feb 16, 2019
Once again!
We are in perilous times.
A time when we have a decision to make,
It always a sad season in the history of democracy.
Choosing between a greater evil and a lesser one.

Eminent and vivid hopes displayed,
By those who have once grieved.
We have been raped in turns
A trauma that left our economy bleeding for years.
Will our votes salvage the current situation?

The time is now! They chant.
Everybody seemed to have learned from their mistakes.
A great opportunity is presented to us.
To the grieved and the bereaved
There is no time, Let's decide.

This season is like the sun, it can't be hidden.
So, they should endure the heat,
For after sunshine comes the rain.
Our collective decision is all that matters.
A word too many for the wise.

This is to all my fellow citizens of Nigeria, vote wisely.
