Possible a reapplication.
Probably, but he's going for undergraduate studies and the odds of a reapplication is slim... had to write to him to clear the air so that people who haven't gotten any medical notification since they applied won't feel apprehensive.

You know stuffs like this usually generate tons and tons of questions both from active and passive readers.

Great Testimonies here,

I am most pleased for all the good news. It can only be God. I feel you testimonies should not just end here. It's not about the TRV approval, It is about the fact that "You trusted God for something, and He came true to you". Thank God, and Congratulations to all TRV hopefuls in advance. It'll all end in praise.

To the Gurus in the House, Austinepee1, CanadianNurse, Maziude, and the rest..... I am applying via the PAPER ROUTE. 80% of Gathering my documents together. I solicit for your help with this;

- I have challenges paying for visa fees online. My GTbank says they don't do transactions above $100 a day. My Diamond Bank says they don't do international payments for now.... Both bank advises i open a Dom account which i hv no plans to. Please kindly advise on what to do. Which bank can i easily make these payments with without stress.

- I have almost all my documents ready. After a successful payment of Visa fees, what next should i do? Should i just go to Ikate (i learnt that is were the vfs office is in Lagos) and submit like that? Are there protocols, like picking a date to submit the application or something. Will I have to do biometrics at once? I'm I submitting my passport at once as well?

- Lastly, I cannot know it all, is it possible for a guru to run through my documents 1st before final submission? Submitting via the Paper route. Anyone willing to help out should please send me a mail. emmaudofia2003@gmail.com.

Thank you guys in advance.
Morning bro,
If you are submitting via paper route you do not need to pay anything online through your MasterCard, simply take your 56k along your documents to VFS's office and pay at the point of submission.

Just ensure you take all the necessary documents there with you, with that you don't have a problem.

Submitted mine in Abuja, I didn't book any appointment, I just went there and paid the said amount, did my biometrics and left... all these within 45 minutes

Illiterate, why dont you attack the argument not the person?
Painted sepulchre.
E PAIN AM!!!

Bro there's no logical premise within what you have written that warrants an argument... Cleanse yourself off such obsolete thoughts, my guess is that you have never been 32,000 feet above the earth's surface, because if you have then it will be glaring to you that the earth is indeed spherical.

I hv been told that the earth is spherical..

Its a big lie.. ..
If earth is spherical as they say, WHY DONT WE LOOSE BALANCE OR FALL OFF THE EDGE?

Was also told the earth rotate which causes day and night.

Why dont we notice the minute movement, me wey dey one place for office why earth never rotate me move go canteen?
Of the multitudes of air-heads roaming this platform daily... You Sir clearly lead the pack. It is as though stupidity and ignorance first came in contact with one another in your brain.

Msc Financial Mathematics at UWaterloo, av u heard from themhuh
Yes I heard from them less than 6 weeks after I applied, though mine was systems design engineering. A friend of mine write them two months after he applied and they replied him within that same week. So try and write your program co-ordinaror, they respond to mails within 2 days

the landed property can only stand as hometie, its never a liquid cash just as @Austinpee4 said earlier. its either you get a sponsor or try figure out the funds if you are going to be self sponsored, try to pay part of your fees to show commitment cox just showing this fund and not paying part of your tuition might not convince the VO enough as u are self-sponsored, den no too trust Nigerians.
Would have paid my tuition fee for the 3 terms since, but they haven't given me instructions on how to go about it, school said I should wait till July before I pay
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by RealObserver(m):
Austinpee4:
There are some factors to also consider while deciding to sponsor yourself.
1. The duration of your program
2. Availability of funds to cover the entire program.

If your program is a 2years program and anything between 3 to 4 terms, then I'm afraid the 38,000 CAD will be INSUFFICIENT.
For your first year alone for your program, you should have a minimum of 2 terms which = 8020*2 =16,040CAD + 10,000CAD=28,000CAD

2nd year should be around same fiqure, so your total funds for your entire program of 2years should be

56,000CAD! and since you are SELF SPONSORED, You have to either should the equivalent of liquid funds for the entire program or show a source to generate funds for the second year of your program. Your landed properties evaluation is not LIQUID funds and will ONLY serve as hometies.

So, depending on the length of your program(guessing it's 2 years), do well to either show funds for your tuition an living expenses for the 2years or get a SPONSOR and show funds for a year.
Thanks boss, for coming to my rescue.

My program will last just 3 terms and I'll go for a minimum of two internships because at Waterloo they run 3 terms in a year, hence I can decide to go for my internship during my second term to cover these cost.

To be very honest with you, getting a sponsor is a big deal for me, my dad is late and my mom doesn't have any means of steady flow of income because she runs a shop that trends with the economy if you know wat i mean. And if you talk of relatives that's even worse off, a favour like this will mean me being enslaved and indebted to them all my life. That's why I've been saving for this.

Besides I don't want to use someone who doesn't share thesame surname with me, it doesn't even makes sense to me, if I were a VO I'd reject such applications in a heartbeat.

So I'll try and make it 45k CAD before I apply next month.

Once again thanks for saving me from the shrapnel of "insufficient funds"
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by RealObserver(m): 7:37am On Apr 23, 2017
Eraytee:
With the said amount I think you have a good chance if the accumulated funds have a source and not a lump sum, since u are self sponsored, i think with my calculation your tuition for 2yrs would b around 32kCAD if 8kCAD is ur tuition per semester; you need extra 20kCAD for your living expenses for 2yrs as instructed by IRCC wch i cant see in your said amount above, its always good to show full access to tuition for the whole program if you are a self sponsored applicant, remember they dont expect you to be working while studying, so u must be able to show your tuition fees for the 2yrs plus living expenses for 2yrs to avoid "insufficient funds to complete program in canada" just package your application well with reasonable sop and do your calculation well and av the funds stated above, Gods grace u'll get ur trv.
Thanks a lot for your insight bro, my course will last just 3 terms which is like 25k CAD for both incidental and tuition fee, then 20k for living expenses.

So am just 7k CAD short of the needed cash, I thought the landed properties will cover for that, besides am building a house in one which I May complete before December this year, I've gotten to roofing level, will that one convince them.

Besides this VO's nor dey pity person sef? Them think say na so e easy for Nigeria ... just kidding though
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by RealObserver(m):
Good morning gurus in the house, am about submitting my study permit application hence I need someone to help me assess my chances.

Was offered Systems Design Engineering (MEng) by University of Waterloo to resume by fall term.

I want to sponsor myself because I really don't want to bug anyone with my issues, don't want anyone to feel like they have a stake in my life.

I currently have 38,000CAD in my account which is wholly mine with two landed properties well documented in my name worth 7m.

My tuition is 8020CAD per term with incidental fee of 637CAD.

Finished from the university in 2015, completed NYSC this month, have been officially employed twice since i finished school and i have worked as an engineer in those period.

What are my chanceshuh

Alright bro, Congrats on your admission, i guess your are going for Fall Start Term, my referees doesnt make use of an Official email address, i don't if they will reject that?
I used three referees, two were from the academia while the third one was the professional referee... it's imperative your academic referees use their official mail address because these days almost all schools have mailing services set up for their staffs, so that shouldn't be a problem

@RealObserver, please when did you apply to UofW? I intend to apply for MSc in ECE dept for winter nxt year, does there admission processing take long time?
I applied late February to the systems design engineering programme, then I got my verdict on the 4th of April... I think response time varies from department to department, mainly due to the number of applications they receive, hence I cannot give you a precise time frame
