I still vividly remember the response he gave when he was asked this question..
according to him, playing football is easy once u understand some basic principles.
he said as an attacker, with the ball in your feet, when you facing the defenders, all you have to do to get past the defenders is to confuse the defenders..
when he was further asked on how to confuse the defenders. he said all you have to do is to pretend you want make a left turn with your body language. once the defenders are convinced you want to make the left, you turn around and do the opposite (by taking the right turn)

ever since the day I watched the interview, my perspective about life changed completely.
being a thinker, I quickly realise this same principle is applicable to forex trading and numerous other things of life..

the market is very deceitful. and it has no integrity or whatsoever..
all the market does is to pretend to take one direction but end up completely taking the other direction.
the market has used this same tactic to burn millions of account from time immemorial. once u understand this principle, u won't be in a rush to take trade simply because the market is rapidly moving on a particular direction. this is where self control and patience comes in.
you should have it at the back of your mind that the market will never make a move on a particular direction until it is sure it has already led many traders astray. (making them to buy instead of sell or vice versa) .
all am preaching here is try and make conscious effort to look at your left side and right side before crossing the road.

the market is the ronaldinho while we the traders are the defenders. he is constantly trying to dribble and get past us. so by this preaching, we ought not to be easily deceived by the market

First off, it's demo not live as i want my first live account to be prop account. I started late last year to try out FTMO demo trials and I decided to equally run a demo account of less figure to be sure passing all the prop trials was not "by luck" even though I failed some(I've done over 10 of them and I have my statistics to check my performance).

My aim was to build confidence so that when the opportunity presented itself like mr.infofirst has been doing for us, i can grab it. I'm aiming to make a career out of the financial markets and I'm taking it one barrier after another.

It was strategy July last year, this year it is confidence( I'm still a work in progress, though). I hope tomorrow,it will be scaling of accounts

The year never end, my birthday wish na only prop account and hopefully,i may even get it sooner than expected

Jesus and Mohammad are brothers sent by their Lord..
both of them are not God but a mere prophet.

both of them are just like every other prophet.

its only Allah/God who is supreme and has power over all things.

I took a buy trade in NASDAQ after 1:30pm though no high impact news but it's safer to wait and see out the manipulation and then enter in the direction of the daily bias.

So I entered precisely at 2:40 pm after I had seen through the manipulation that began from 1:30pm.

So far I've taken partials of:

1) 54 pips at a short term high,

2) 122pips after an orderblock was printed to continue to the upside

3) 202 pips after second orderblock was printed and moved stoploss at the close of price of the recent orderblock securing about 112 pips in profits.

This making 90% of my open trade closed in profits. I have 10% still running and if it turns against me I have nothing to lose.

Currently it is still running in profits.

I took this trade mainly because the daily bias is bullish and I entered after yesterday high was taken out. As a day trader the daily bias determines where I flow with the price.

Note: The pips taken here doesn't amount to huge money as what defines that is the lots entered as permitted by your equity.

Friday retracement effect;

NASDAQ has been selling throughout this week till yesterday when it started to reverse during NY morning session. This is what happen to some trades in profits from Monday and gbam! Friday it will be wiped off.

Yes this is not the case every week but at the end of the week price retraces back up/down depending on the trend of the week to close for the week.

I was stopped out of my gold trade today with 8pips loss.

I couldn't enter oil buy because I was afraid of the Friday retracement. So no oil trade today.

Just now stoploss moved 203 pips above entry for the remaining 10%.

wow! now I see your point clearly, and guess what? I'm buying your opinion on Fridays..
I think this is one of the reason why one needs to vent out his frustration and challenges often.. who knows, someone here might come to the rescue with the right solution. just as you came to my rescue now..

Friday market hmmm!!

Friday market is still a big nemesis for a swing trader like me.
the way I fear market activities on Fridays ehh..
a Friday (d1)candle stick can usually wipe off 3 weeks of hard labour in the market.
imagine staying in the market for up to 3 weeks with some decent floating profit only to lose it all on Fridays..most of my big loses usually happens on Fridays.
Fridays are my Achilles (weakness) when it comes to trading the market.
its almost like Gamble.. the market can go either way rapidly and Massively.. and within 2 or less hours of market's madness, all your 3weeks floating profits is wiped off.
still plotting a means to trick my way around Fridays sha..

Technical analysis applies to all Indexes (NASDAQ, S&P500 etc.,) however when high impact news in the US is released they ten to be unusually volatile and direction less ONLY to manipulate and then go in the direction of the price backed by TA.

Worthy of note is knowing the daily bias of the market of an asset and patiently waiting to execute your trade at the open hours ( morning and evening sessions) of the indexes

I don't do crypto so I don't know much about this asset.
