Was an independent interview done by the school before issuing you CAS??

Was the basis of not being genuine by ukiv spelt out before denying you the visa??

Bishop Grosseteste University. BGU Lincoln.

No pre-cas interview was done.

This is what UKVI said. "It is reasonably expected that a genuine student will have in depth knowledge of their university and course and will be able to clearly explain why they made the decision to study at their chosen university. the interview is your opportunity to demonstrate that you have fully researched your studies, as well as the benefits of choosing one institution over another to study in. Your responses were vague and lacked any evidence of credible planning or research. It is reasonable to expect a genuine student who is interested in pursuing a postgraduate degree to have a better understanding of the course and a strong and credible reason for undertaking that course and I am not satisfied that the above responses demonstrate this. Therefore, I doubt that you intend on studying within the UK on good merit."

No I did not falsify any documents. All my documents are authentic.

Hello Gurus, Please I need your guidance. After paying 50%(6700 Pounds) of my tuition for a master's program I talked with my school to defer my admission because my Visa was denied they disagreed starting this *"Unfortunately, based on the reason for refusal and the interview notes you provided; we are not able to process a deferral. Apologies for the disappointment this may cause."*. And the reason for refusal according to UKVI was that they are not satisfied on the balance of probabilities that I am a genuine student.. And I also told them to refund the said they can't refund because of their finance policies. Like is this not Daytime Robbery?? Please I need guidance on what to do.

Administrative review doesn’t have a definite timeline and this uncertainty doesn’t make it wise for you to be paying for such.

I have seen cases where people who did this have to just forgo the whole process and reapply the next year.

But you can give it a shot if you are comfortable with not knowing the timeline you will get approval.

These are the questions you must ask yourself before applying for an administrative interview.

I would advise you to defer to the January intake.

Regarding the deferment I would have long deferred to January but my Course only accept New Intakes in September. And the school gave me some time. According to them they spoke to my lecturers regarding me. And they are willing to adjust.

Hello Gurus. Please I need your advice. I did my biometrics 30th of August and I was asked for an online interview scheduled for 20th of September during the course of the interview network was really bad so the interviewer had to leave the meeting. I got in contact with my school and the UKVI later scheduled another interview for OCT 9. And this other interview was scheduled for 11 in the morning during the Interview the interviewer asked some questions to which I answered. And he also told me that he will like to confirm somethings from my school and that we will continue the interview in the evening. In the evening we did the interview although the network was also not stable. So all this while I've been waiting because my school resumed Sept 23. I did a paid call on monday and was told a decision has been made. Only for me to get the email today and it was a denial. Reasons being that; they said I'm not a genuine student. And they also said I can do an administrative review. In the decision letter sent to me. The date which they said I did the interview was incorrect. It was 6 days before I went for biometrics. That's what they wrote as the day I did the interview. And that's wrong. ...

My question is should I apply for administrative review and can I ask them to reschedule another live interview and not online interview because of network?

Hello

It is possible but confusing because most Unis will ask if you had previously applied elsewhere, it’s okay to see another application for the same level of education in a different Uni, but to see BSc and MSc that sounds like someone who doesn’t know what he/she wants and can be deemed as ‘not a genuine student’

My advise is stick to one, if you already have a Bsc degree then you should be progressing to a Masters degree

If that’s the only route and your Uni advised to apply through UCAS then fine

Most Unis have a separate process for international students, and if they do, it’s best you follow that to avoid your application getting stuck in UCAS
