jnyuwa02: You should definitely apply with your children and use your husband as home tie. He can come join you guys later after you have settled down. The thoughts of leaving such children behind to a mother, has definitely got be gut wrenching and I will not recommend it. I really don't see how leaving your children behind add any more hometie than a spouse alone left behind. Go for it, make sure you have enough money for their upkeep as well, and that you have made contacts or they are registered with a caregiving service or school. You can be victorious! I never knew the possibility of applying with the kids existed talk less get a favourable response from VIOs |

Redaddict: Pls I need advise on the proper decision to take on an admission I just secured?
It’s for MBA at VIU and am really skeptical about leaving my two kids (aged 4 and 6) behind due to fear of visa refusal. Their dad had been refused UK visa once in 2012 due to lump sum in his account. Since then, he didn’t bother to apply for any visa. So no travel history apart from Dubai. This brings me the fear that Canny may not approve his visa which may also affect my kids chances.
I would really love to have them join me within 3 months of getting to Canada. I am supposed to make the initial payment of 15k CAD soon but this fear is frustrating me My eldest child had travelled to Dubai once while the youngest has no travel history. So, am thinking : do I apply for a UK or US visa for them now and probably take them on vacation ( though this would negatively affect our financial plans at the moment) In order to give them travel history if this is important consideration for their visa approval. I have a valid US visa and have travelled there |

elfmann: Some women sabi marry men wey no like book. I take exception to this comment of yours. The fact that I chose to post on nairaland and seek guidance doesn't give you the right to insult me or my husband. Like IELTS is the true test of overall intellectual capacity of an individual. Rubbish |

Pls I would like to find out if there is still hope for someone with a CRS score of 362. This is my 2nd IELTS and it stillamounted to 362.
I don't know if I should apply for a remark or just take this as a sign to bow out of this relocation pursuit. I've been devastated since the result came out. It's just so annoying after all the efforts and money spent on WES and other things.
My 1st score is LRSW 7.5, 7, 6.5, 8 The 2nd is LRSW 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7 Hubby score is LRSW 5, 5, 5.5, 6.5
My age is 34. |

Bimpsy99: Is 423 with his current ietls score? If yes he may not need to retake it. If no, then will loose a few marks less than 15marks. If he doesn't wanna rewrite it, u can rewrite and hope for a provincial nomination if ur score is above 400. It's actually 426 with his current score but with my score juggled to reflect 8 in Listening and 7 in others. So, this mean the solution lies in me writing the test? Please any pointers on how to improve my score this second attempt? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Redaddict: 2:56pm On May 06, 2017*. Modified: 3:14pm On May 06, 2017 |
Bimpsy99: Yes. Please evaluate his masters. Try replacing your own ietls scores with 8 in listening and 7/in the rest and dod him choose that he has masters. You would see how important the having the right score in ietls is. Prepare your mins to write again. If your spouse has less than 6 in any competency, he may need to retake it else it adds no point.
All the best Wow! Thanks lot. The score jumped to 423 just by juggling the scores as you advised. It's just that writing another IELTS might be a challenge. I wish there was another way around this! What if I write another test alone? Will that have any impact? Hubby doesn't have time to write another test and I wouldn't want to waste more time verifying his credentials if it can be avoided. |

elfmann: Pls use CRS tool..i sabi say women no dey quick release DOB. Instead of using IQAS to fast track, tell WES to ignore ur BL and go ahead with LLM and LLB..assuming ur schools have verified and call on WES later to add the law sch for law licence to practice or job as a lawyer in Canada. IQAS' may not be accepted for licensing. So I just checked the CRS and it shows 362 points. Pleasec can the score be increased by verifying my husband's masters degree? Or what other thing can I do to increase our chances? |

elfmann: She's OK as she has Masters. Masters of any kind have same treatment everywhere including WES. I didn't even know about IQAS just hearing about it now. Based on the advise I just got here, I would notify them to remove Law School Certificate. Please is there a way I can commence the Application on CIC website pending when the evaluation is concluded? I would really want to avoid my IELTS expiring in January,2018 without me getting something tangible out of it. |

nairalandnewbie: Please any alumni of Unilag here? I intend applying for my trv in May using the paper route please how did you get your transcript sent to the embassy considering the fact that the University doesn't release Transcripts to individuals.
Please any other university alumni that can help will be appreciated. Thank you. After applying online, I would suggest that you go to Senate building where Exams &Records office is to physically monitor the dispatch of the transcript otherwise OYO is your case o! Those guys showed me pepper after applying online on February 2nd, I had to go there March 25 only to discover that they didn't even attend to it. Of course I made friends there before they eventually processed and dispatched the following week. I also saw several acknowledgments of transcript requests as far back as January that were still in the pending file as mine. Make sure you go with your Remita receipt cos that was their excuse for not treating my request. All the best! |

Redaddict: Hi everyone,
I have been a silent follower on this thread for a while now and only just registered last week.
I sincerely appreciate the selfless efforts of every contributor here and pray that God will increase you on all sides.
I am a lawyer of 10 years post call experience, I have a masters degree in Law and I worked as Human Resources/Legal of a Company for about 5 years before my current employment where I do core legal work and for my masters program, I took some courses in Labour Law.
from my research on this thread, I applied to two schools i.e Confederation College in Ontario (PGD, Human Resource Management) and Regina University (Masters in Human Resource Management). I have received admission from the college while Regina is yet to revert.
My questions are therefore as follows:
a. What are the likelihood of a TRV approval based on a college admission based on my profile as earlier stated. b. What are the impact of an upfront medicals? I am yet to do one but will doing one save waiting time on TRV approval? c. Does anyone know how long it takes for University of Regina to notify applicants of decisions made. d. based on my research, i discovered that some contributors received funding from their universities; I am not entirely clear on this as I also saw on CIC website that Post Graduate Work permit can only be granted if teh student did not take any funding from Canada government. Can shed more light on this.
Apologies for the long story, I just wanted to make it easy for anyone who wants to reply me.
Thank you. Pls can some of the gurus in the house assist with my enquiries? Thank you |
