Nokia is making its Lumia 1020 handset official on Thursday. The Finnish smartphone maker has just unveiled its latest flagship Windows Phone on stage at an event in New York. The Lumia 1020 is a big upgrade over Nokia's previous Windows Phone efforts for one reason alone: a 41-megapixel camera. Nokia is taking its PureView 808 sensor from its Symbian days and adding a number of enhancements to bring it to Windows Phone.

The 41-megapixel Pureview sensor includes optical image stabilization, 6-lens Zeiss optics, and a xenon flash, making it the centerpiece for the rear of the phone. It can shoot still images at 38-megapixel in 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. At the same time as it captures the high-resolution images, it also takes an oversampled 5-megapixel image using the sensor that can then be easily shared thanks to its smaller file size. The Lumia 1020 supports 1080p video capture, complete with 4x zoom and up to 6x at 720p. Nokia is releasing a Pro Camera app with the Lumia 1020 to take advantage of the sensor and manually adjust flash, focus, ISO, white balance, shutter speed, and exposure. It also includes a number of editing functions to crop and alter photos. Nokia is bundling a leather wrist strap with the Lumia 1020, making it even more point-and-shoot-like, but a optional Camera Grip accessory provides a casing for the device with extra battery, a shutter button, and even a tripod mount.

Helo Uncle Sheelay, I have been making researches on Nokia Lumia 520...d phone has been recieving some negative reviews online. People said google chrome n opera mini can't be downloaded into L520. Some said it's not easy to download songs with L520.. Do u think these reviews are true? Pls tnx as I await ur reply. I like downloading songs with my phone. Google chrome and opera mini are my best pals.

Just recently, I created a thread on the most annoying advert we have seen on TV. There we talked about annoying adverts like MAMA GOLD RICE, GLO, KNON CHICKEN CUBE, CHI, VIJU MILK, OMO, etc. Well, these adverts are extremely annoying but we can't still deny the fact that there are really interesting ones. So let's talk about the interesting ones this time. Talking about interesting adverts, I honestly think Etisalat adverts are usually great. Infact, Etisalat is arguably the company with the best adverts. There was this particular advert where Etisalat show cased people from different tribes in Nigeria, the people came together and formed a map that was coloured GREEN WHITE GREEN. That advert was flawless. They also did another one where they zipped/unzipped a lady's mouth so she could talk...so amazing. Even the one with the referee was not bad. I can also remember that Etisalat advert where Saka was asked what the time was and he replied "QUATER TO BLACKBERRY". Etisalat does good adverts....MTN, GLO and Airtel should learn from Etisalat. Another good advert was that Blue Band advert where a lady forgot to spread blue band on her little daughter's bread (the little girl was a pupil) and when she realised it, she used a kiddies bicycle and appeared in front of the school bus. She stopped the bus and then spread the usual blue band on the bread. I can only describe that advert with one word 'SUPERB'. The indomie 'MAMA DO GOOD' advert (the first one) was really good. Atleast it appeals to the teens. The kids dance steps gave me lots of funny moments. The old Amstel Malta advert with Dakore Egbuson was great too. Till date, it remains the only reasonable advert to come from Amstel. Dettol adverts are ok in my opinion...atleast they always tell us what Dettol is used for. Once a Dettol advert appears on TV, my 3year old niece gets set to ask the usual question 'IF I DON'T TAKE CARE OF THEM, WHO WILL? The only not so good advert from Dettol was the one where that ugly dude had a beautiful mum....bad casting. But Dettol adverts are still ok. Maltina adverts are ok...atleast they are better than that milk advert where Ini Edo jumped over 5 cars just to purchase a milk in a super market. That Ovaltine advert with healthy looking kids was interesting too. Just that the advert has been around for a long time now...they need to stop airing it and get a new one. Their song, 'AM WALKING ON SUNSHINE' is good though. Now tell me the adverts that interests you the most. MODERATOR, FRONT PAGE please. We need to appreciate the good ones after bashing the bad ones.

The worst has got to be Illuminati. I can't believe a highly respected veteran actor like Olu Jacob was part of that crap. That man doesn't know his worth @all. I hear people (especially girls) say handsome guys are generally players. These people even say ugly dudes are caring. Well, I have come to disagree. My very good neighbour changes ladies like boxers. Mind you...this guy isn't handsome...not even rich and yet, every lady wants to be with. I can tell you for free that this guy uses no charm. He has up to 14 girl friends. He gets new ones everyday. But people say only handsome guys plays but since this guy isn't handsome....here lies my confusion. Are you concerned about the population or seeking to - excuse the pun - slip sodomy in via the back door? Having said that, if it does curb population, it may be because "active" sodomites tend to have greatly shortened lifespans due to the pathological consequences of what is a degraded and destructive lifestyle.

Check out this link. It's the memorial page for the worlds largest sodomitic choir. Hardly any of them see out their 5th decade. Sodomy is pathological, both in cause and effect and has no place in decent society. Lifespan is typically 20 years less. I suppose that's one way of curbing the population

my dear sit down again and think deeply. If sodomy gets legalised, it will help in @least depopulising d country. Am very sure no sodomite ever wants to get more dan 2 kids either through surrogate (spelling might be wrong) or adoption. Nigeria's population is nothing to be proud of. Couples needs to start having a reasonable family plannings. 5 kids and above is too much for a couple. Am just 19 but I'hv seen things. I have seen a family of 14...too bad.

Nigeria's population is just getting higher. People are just giving birth here and there, every now and then. This is one of the major reasons why same sex marriage should have been patronised....to control/cut down the population size. You will see couples giving birth to children they know they can't take care of and the worst problem of it all is, they see this as an achievement. Over population is the major cause of the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria. I have seen a family of 14, 15, 17 and even 20 and above. Even with the census been conducted, Nigeria's population is still better imagined. I think we need a law that would be guiding child birth in this country. The law should state: couples shouldn't give birth to more than 4 children. Anyone who disobeys the law, should be punished. They should either pay a fine or better still, be jailed for @least 2years. I seen nothing good in bringing many children into the World and tell them to come and suffer. Am saying this because the poor men are the worst culprits. The poor couples are the ones that gives birth to these LGAs. I will be happy if this law can be made. Mod...pls I will be happy if this brilliant topic hits the front page. Tnx.
