shikshark: the commission has a Chairman, a D.G, and various stakeholders from various corporations like FIRS,FRSC, EFCC, WAEC, JAMB, ICPC, PENCOM etcWhat happened to the banks. Please tell me anywhere in the world where a financial account is linked with the identification database system in the country? Please just give me one and i would shutup. They are indirectly turning nimc to a mini financial system which should not be so. Leave money and monetary aspects to the finance houses and focus on the core competency with which the nimc was established for!!!. Looking at thia issue from another perspective, in the background a bank is handling the financial aspect of this card. Redundancy of roles. How its done in advaced countries is, there is a chip embedded into the card so its not just an identity card, when your card is placed upon its reader, any law enforcement/security agency or authority can have access to your full data both crimes committed, and a host of other necessary things that identify you as a citizen.. not atm/bank account!!!!! |
FrankC3: What do I call this? I guess the mere mention of Master Card suggests to you that it is the regular ATM card. What happened to the banks. In relationship management, the phrase "customer is king" is seen as a slave-servant relationship with the customer taking the advantage of always capitalizing on that particular phrase to act very unruly and not understanding the perspective of the other party. Rather than be a slave-master relationship, it should be a partnership that should be built on trust, understanding and communication thereby its a win-win situation for everyone.. N.b: na petty traders get this talk..customers are always wrong 70% of the times. |
DivaFiva: Why would you expect a HO to be loyal??!Have you listened to the song by chris brown and lil wayne? Its not like ypu actually call them hoes but when they f up, then they are hoes.... |
emmygzy: oga ade, how psquare wan take make money pass american artitste? American artistes sell dia albums worldwide, e.g. U.k., australia, canada, new zealand, ireland e.t.c and its original disc dat sells around 2000naira(around 12 dollars) and der is notn like piracy in dose countries and dey even go for tours too in dose countries dat at d end of d tours, dey rake in over 200million dollars. Not nigeria dat an album is 100 naira(les dan 1 dollar) and most ar even piracy. Its only wen companies like glo, mtn e.t.c do endorsements wit dem, dats wer dey get some money.Since you are not the other guy i dont have his time, let me educate you.. One thing you should consider when doing business in different countries is the purchasing power of individuals.. in countries like switzerland, a pair of shoes selling for chf180, that same pair sells for $104 in the united states. The swiss francs also has more power than the american dollar. Converting $104 dollars to swiss francs would be around chf70-80.(be patient, im heading somewhere). The minimum wages is quite different with the swiss having a higher minimum wage but the economy has made it in such a way that the standard of living is also high (money wise). Now as with the case of american artistes and their nigerian counterparts such as psquare, you cannot compare the purchasing power of americans and nigerians because they have a higher purchasing power which also is commensurate with the minimum wage in their country.. if psquare decide to use N15m to build a one storey duplex here, that same amount converted to dollars which is roughly $100k would not build the same standard structure psquare used to build theirs in nigeria in the states. You hear an artiste in america bought a house of 5m dollars which is about 900m or more sef.. now imagine the kind of house that would gulp that amount of money in Nigeria.. (when its not defence hq) Here is my point, wheatever region you are even if you make your money in peanuts, it does not matter so far it is way above the minimum wage range which means you can purchase items cheaper than what it is gotten for else where, you are good to go. Which tour makes 200million dollars ? Na him most of these celebrities still dey less than $150m worth? Are you sure you know what you are saying? The figures of 8million is actually an official figure of original copies gotten from the right quarters and thats the original copies alone. The numbers are way beyond that if you include pirated versions to the numbers. These guys have a fantastic distribution network. Tjoe is not just there for nothing... bro go and gather facts well..psquare are the only really rich nigerian artistes i am 100% sure of in this country. |
lirusehn: this am handsomeLmao.. handsome indeed.looool |
Kzinne: shows how shallow you are. how much does an album cost in nigeria? 150 naira just less than a us dollar. an album in the us cost about 13 us dollars. so don't be so daaaft. and most of those so called cds in nigeria which they claim to have sold were probably sold by pirates. do they get the cash? no. they make money from endorsements, and side businesses. how does that make them worth billions of naira? did glo tell you tell signed dbanj for a billion naira?...you are not worth my time... |
Tholuwaniey: You forgot OwenMschew..no be only owen na newo |

logica: There you go; your understanding is wrong. Merely visiting the US regularly will at some point advance such a privilege. As a matter of fact, back in the 80s/90s even visitors on first visits were provided with SSN; but access became more stringent. Once you have a SSN, you can open a bank account and get a credit card of course. All these without having to be a US citizen. So you think even Green Card holders can't get SSN?Thak you. ![]() |
logica: Do you have to be a US citizen to obtain a Social Security Number? Yes or No?yes. In my own understanding |
logica: Not true. Have you lived in the US before? How would authorities identify you for you to be able to enjoy credit facilities? |
logica: LOL. I am surprised some people still don't know how most homes are purchased in the US. Even Allen Iverson who was a confirmed multi-millionaire in dollars lost a home to foreclosure.Apparenyly i know it has to do with mortgage and stuff. But if you are not s citizen of a country, how do you enjoy such benefits as the citizens? They would have to pay outrightly. Gbam! |
Kzinne: are u dreamin. who told u they are worth more than 10 m usd? are u ok? guess u are not.its ur type that put pressure on artistes to live a fake life. do u know how much 10 m usd is? 1.6 billion naira. so shut the crap. But dbanj who sings You are still a kid in factual analysis.. so you my friend needs to shut your trash

whitecat007: You mean billionaire in naira can't invest 200m naira in his son's future? Well he said he bought it and you all have to do us a favor by telling us why you think he can't own one.How is 200m purchase of a private jet an investment in someone's life please? Thete is no private jet worth $1.2m my friend |
whitecat007: That bird can't be more than $2m, and yes, he can afford it, and I believe it's for him via his daddy's purse. The blog probably meant 250m naira. I'm not surprised, he's the first to own the most expensive automobile among the artists and now the first to purchase aircraft, after cos he has the most comfortable cushioned Dad. The nigg came from money.$2m for real? You got to be kidding me.. davido's dad is not as rich you think him to be. He is only a billionaire in naira and not dollars.. that private jet does not belong to davido. |
okparaugo: Lear jets of 4 to 5 million dollars. Say 700 to 800 million naira..My brother your head is there |

spotmataz: Good post @op. Doing business is Nigeria is not easy at all for Citizens and Foreigners alike. You have done a really good job of sustaining your biz even despite the difficulties trying to set up and even sustaining the ones you eventually started. It is at that point most aspiring business men give up and pack up. Kudus. Looking forward to learn more from you.You are absolutely correct. This is very synonymous to nigerian businessmen. They expect to breakeven the very first few months of startup. Which is absolutely not true. More than 90% of world class organizations made losses for more than 3 years after startup. Few nigerian businessmen have the endurance to wait that long. |
