NapoleonHill:Just look at your self in the mirror? That tiny DOT inside Nigeria is more popular than all the remaining places surrounding it in global stance. You hate them, you want them not to be heard off...they see you as same..and they want to go away from you forever..both you sent python dance to kill them so they must stay with you...why is this so. No they have said they don't want your flag as symbol of sovereignty from Oct 1st...caused largely by small minded people like you who wish the county to perish. |
..but why is he always saying things like... ...Nigeria need peace to progress... ....Nigeria can be a super power if..... ...Nigeria can feed the who Africa when... ..We can got to space because.... He speaks as if he is not in government. Why not implement what he preaches. This worries me. |
BKayy:Nope. I am only cautioning the wannabes who would not know this in advance. Cheers. |
There is no need for this. Very soon Anambra guys will start calling out people from Ebony. I have never seen Yorubas comparing and fighting about their states comparing Lagos and Ekiti, nor the northerners, asking if Sokoto is better than Katsina. Unless you are from SW and being utterly mischievous.. Many thanks. |
ThinkSmarter:Thanks. But who would lead the emancipation? The Ohaneze, the governors? Or you? |
Ibkhaleel:You are eternally selfish. Since 1970, the West and the North have received more in development that the former eastern Nigeria, but through self help the SE especially has almost marched the the two regions except Lagos. The FG borrowed billions of dollars to build rail from Lagos through Kano to Niger republic, while the former eastern region where bulk of you FX comes from is not on the board, till later. I will support your version if you can mention one FG project in the SE, except army and police barracks. The only airport in the region has not been completed. The Niger bridge has been on board for more 40 years. Haba, this is not fair, plus appointments in some area that is reserved for the north, like NDLEA, EFCC, FCT, etc... Reasonable northerners like Emir of Kano, Tanko Yakassai, Umar Dangiwa and Balarabe Musa and other di-tribalised northerners have stated at different time that the SE is perpetually marginalized. But low folks like you will continue to feign ignorance. Telling them NEVER to complain. Igbos are more patriotic than most Nigerians as they build businesses wherever they live, but injustice and wickedness toward them must not continue. You scream one Nigeria, but you never invest in their region. The DOT SE region has the worse FG roads in the country. ...This is not about this APC government, but all other government since independence. Now they want their own country or regional autonomy within Nigeria where they can develop at their own pace. I give you example..If the FG was building Anambra airport, would they have attained the completion rate as the state government is doing? It will take at least 100 years. But if it were in the West or North it will be completed in record time. Treat every region equally with respect and love and the issue of agitations will die a natural death. |
Senator Chukwuka Utazi (PDP-Enugu) has appealed the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) to declare Enugu as an oil producing state, due to the oil wells located in the state. Utazi said this while speaking on Order 43 of the Senate at plenary on Tuesday in Abuja. He said that three lawmakers from Enugu, Kogi and Anambra had lobbied for the recognition of the states as oil producing states during the 8th Senate. Utazi said however, that although RMAFC had declared Kogi and Anambra as oil producing states, Enugu was yet to be declared so, insisting that OPL 915 and 916 oil wells were located in the state. “Senators representing the Senatorial district that have boundary with Enugu and Anambra States have discussed this issue throughout the 8th Assembly. “Following the frequency of our discussion, this Assembly asked the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR )to look into the issue to find out and settle the issue permanently within this three states so that they could enjoy the 13 per cent derivation given deposits of hydrocarbon in the area. “So the committee that was set up by the Petroleum Upstream invited the DPR and we discussed with them extensively. “They gave us a condition that any state that wants to become an oil producing state will need to fulfill certain conditions,” he said. Utazi added:”I want to say that Anambra has Orient Oil Producing Company that has been there trying to extract crude oil in that basin. “After our meeting, the DPR wrote to the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) on July 24, 2018 saying that the Orient Petroleum that is operating between Kogi, Anambra and Enugu has not fulfilled certain conditions. “In view of the foregoing, the Orient Petroleum Company has no status of an oil producing company, therefore, Anambra, Kogi and Enugu cannot be classified as oil producing states for now. “Am happy that we are inching towards resolution of the matter, at the 8th Assembly we jointly sponsored a motion here the entire Senators, that is Isaac Alfa, Kogi East, Chukwuka Utazi, Enugu North and Stella Oduah, Anambra North.” President of Senate, Ahmad Lawan, in his response noted Utazi’s point of order. https://pointblanknews.com/pbn/news/senator-wants-enugu-listed-among-oil-producing-states-in-nigeria/ |
ARROBA:This has now been shifted to 1st October. Ethiopian Airlines to commence flights to Enugu on the 1st of October Africa’s largest airline, Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it will resume flights to Enugu Airport from the 1st of October, two years after the east African giant suspended flights to the southeastern state of Nigeria. This was disclosed in a statement by its General Manager, Shimeles Arage, in Lagos on Sunday, stating that every week there would be a flight on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, with B787 Dreamliner, according to the News Agency of Nigeria. What Ethiopian airlines said “Oct. 1 is Nigeria’s Independence Day and the flight to Enugu on that day will reinforce Ethiopian Airline’s good relations with Nigeria since the first flight to Nigeria in 1960,” Arage said. He added that flights were suspended from Enugu due to renovations of the airport done by the FG to improve the runway. “Before the closure of the airport for runway repairs, Ethiopian was the only international airline flying to Enugu,” he added. In case you missed it The Federal Government has lifted the ban placed on flights coming into the country from India. This was disclosed by the Chairman, Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, via a new travel protocol released on Sunday, which indicated that the ban has been lifted. However, the sanctions placed on airlines that convey passengers from restricted countries and travellers who are non-Nigerians remain. https://nairametrics.com/2021/09/20/ethiopian-airlines-to-commence-flights-to-enugu-on-the-1st-of-october/

kestolove95:If only you use the strength you use on hating the erosion ndi dot, to your tribe (ndi herdsmen) who murder thousands in their sleep, as in the picture in Benue state, maybe Nigeria would have improved and there won't be any need for your hate. Now who have been arrested for these deaths? Karma will reach you evil minded fellow at some point.

SlyDev:Why not go to school to understand the difference between federal road and state road? Meanwhile, see below.. Julius Berger escalates operations at Abuja-Kano Road project Desmond Okon Sep 15, 2021 https://businessday.ng/companies/article/julius-berger-escalates-operations-at-abuja-kano-road-project/ See how fast JB is building another road in another part of the country, but this road from Enugu to Onitsha has been under repair since 1999. Yet most Nigerians want Igbos to love Nigeria with all their heart and soul? Nigeria is indivisible but wickedness and injustice reign supreme. Make una de fear God ohhoooo. Beating a child and ask the child not to cry is EVIL. This road is very important, all travelers even from the north going to sell their goods in the biggest market in the east at Onitsha use this road, but the FG don't care.

mu2sa2:SE are parasites? Pic 1. NBL beer factory in Enugu... Pic 2 . This is a reminder to those claiming that SE will suffer with the VAT issue. If Kano and Kaduna has more VAT collection receipts, so be it. Let states control what they do, or gain more when the proceeds are shared. |
From Okey Sampson, Umuahia Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has called for true fiscal federalism where States will have powers to manage resources in their domains, saying it was the only way forward for the country. Ikpeazu made the call when he received in audience a delegation of the Federal Commissioner, representing Abia State at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Dr. Chris Akomas at Government Lodge, Aba. He equally advocated in the case of natural resources, states should control those domiciled in their area and pay royalties to the federal government. The governor recalled that the Eastern Region of Nigeria used to be the fastest growing economy in the world during the times of Dr. Michael Okpara; when there was true federalism with different regions controlling their resources. He made it clear that that every region was not equally endowed by nature and such they must be allowed to enjoy the advantages of those endowments since the regions also live with the disadvantages of such endowments, especially environmental degradation. He stressed the need for funds reserved for Federal roads by the Federal Government to be sent to the States to fix such roads that cut across the States. Ikpeazu maintained that states should be allowed and empowered to do Federal government roads in their domains. The Governor observed that the call for states to make contributions to the ongoing review of the revenue sharing formula by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) is desirable, adding that the move for the review by the RMAFC is laudable and assured that Abia State would cooperate with the Commission and make her position known soon. Dr. Akomas who is the Chairman of the Committee on Disbursement of the Commission had earlier told the governor that the team was in the State to sensitize the Abia Government on the ongoing process of the review of the revenue sharing formula of the Federal Government. He stated that the process of reviewing the revenue sharing formula is the constitutional responsibility of the Commission and said that response to the review was urgent while the next stage would be the Zonal Public hearings where States would make their positions known. https://www.sunnewsonline.com/ikpeazu-calls-for-true-fiscal-federalism/ |
thebosstrevor1:Stop changing the goal post, your initial post was that South east isn't contributing anything to VaT... |
Ibkhaleel001:How can those without political power hold those with it to ransom? Your response has no substance. You are clutching on debris to remain afloat. You have done everything in the book to suppress the south but it has not worked, with all the top ministries and MDAs headed by the north, e.g., Customs, Immigration, FIRS, Finance, etc, etc, yet you blame the south. The north has never been good managers, you had Bank of the North but your elites made it bankrupt. There is no big deal in growing your bank with your population. This is what people have been saying...you need to think out of the box. Remittance from Nigerians in diaspora in 2018-2019 was more than $16billion, north contributes almost nothing of that figure. |
Ibkhaleel001:The north are the president, senate president, and Chief justice and AGF, SEC DG, NCC DG, NITDA DG, etc, etc, the first time it is happening in the history of Nigeria, with diverse ethnic groups, yet you don't have a tier one bank. Who are you blaming for this? You are seriously funny. |
San Marino San Marino (/ˌsæn məˈriːnoʊ/ (About this soundlisten), Italian: [sam maˈriːno]), officially the Republic of San Marino[1][2] (Italian: Repubblica di San Marino; Romagnol: Ripóbblica d' San Marein), also known as the Most Serene Republic of San Marino[8] (Italian: Serenissima Repubblica di San Marino), is a small state[9][10][11][12] (and a European microstate) in Southern Europe enclaved by Italy.[13] Located on the northeastern side of the Apennine Mountains, San Marino covers a land area of just over 61 km2 (24 sq mi), and has a population of 33,562.[14] San Marino is a landlocked country but the northeastern end is within 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) of the Italian city of Rimini on the Adriatic Sea. (Source Wikipedia). If San Marino with 33, 562 people can survive, surely the mighty north with its huge untapped resources can survive. Pic - San Marino national team.

Ekpeitit:I know you are very poor in economics but let me help you with just one point. Business Diaspora Remittances into Nigeria dropped by $13.65bn in 2020 – CBN https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/diaspora-remittances-into-nigeria-dropped-by-13-65bn-in-2020-cbn/#:~:text=Nigeria%20recorded%20the%20lowest%20Diaspora%20remittances%20for%20the,billion%20in%202019%20to%20%245.51%20billion%20in%202020. Everyone knows the region that has more people sending money from diaspora... Now when this money is sent, for withdrawals to happen there has to be bank charges, stamp duties, etc...this goes to the government. Some of this money are used to buy shares in banks and companies like Dangote sugar, cement, MTN, etc...the pay taxes on dividends to FG which are shared to you in Kano, etc... Also, when they build or buy properties, it goes to the local economy, etc, etc.... So how come you don't know these and you claim they contribute nothing to the economy? |
I am a bit late to the party of the president's visit to Imo state yesterday. It is a fantastic thing for the president to visit, but I have been searching everywhere for the projects commissioned. Ibkhaleel01:If Kaduna and Kano collect more VAT than SE states then why are you people very angry? See... "Let’s Be Our Brothers' Keeper" - Northern State Begs Southern States Over VAT" Gombe State Governor. Can you show where any governor from the SE has begged you? ![]() |
thebosstrevor1:Bros you have no idea what VAT is? Let me help you.... SE people pay VAT on any item they purchase, beer etc...which people in Kano, FCT and Kano do not buy. They pay VAT for or fees for communication, eg MTN, Globacom, etc..much more than the states you have mentioned...How many of you have phones or make more calls than the people in SE? This is why Rivers and Lagos states should be supported so that VAT should be collected by the states and not FIRS. Below is NBL breweries at 9th Mile in Enugu state.

Why can't we have Federal ministry of Nomadic Affairs - Gumi ....will this same man accept Federal ministry of IPOB Affairs? Or Federal ministry of Odua Nations Affairs? Nigeria is really complex, with most people selfishly supporting their tribe. |
