heniford2:8 You will never ever amount to anything in life if you don't change your mindset. My ancestors na igbo. I'll speak as freely as I can towards the development of any issues my mind feels like. Now get lost There's 5 pages of quality information and your darkened mind couldn't see anything positive. I feel sorry for you |
heniford2:That's why you don't develop mentally. If in all the discussions we had from economics to macro finance to forex to import export policies to production you didn't pick anything meaningful. Then I feel sorry for you We discussed on Marina and it's lacklustre form from a purely SW perspective. Even yorubas on the thread didn't see it as putting it down but as developmental talk to stimulate interactional talks. Change your reasoning Good Day |
Okowa face developmental issues leave all this politicking alone |
heniford2:It's an interactional discussion. I don't think I put igbo down in anyway Work on your comprehension of information. I had igbo ancestors. There's no big deal in discussing issues as matured minds. Thank you |
50 storeys chart At 50 stories you’re building a tower. Towers typically have small footprints. Let’s assume 8–10 units per floor at a factor of 750SF per unit (the factor includes circulation space - this would be a rental). We’ll use 10 units - so 7,500 SF / floor. We’ll be conservative and assume a deep foundation system (piles). Let’s assume roughly 10,000 SF of excavation PLUS the piles - I would say about $4.5 million to get you out of the ground. Cost per SF on a tower is a bit higher than standard construction - especially in concrete. It’s a lot of vertical formwork and we’ll assume this is a concrete building (residential in NYC is almost always concrete). We’ll go with $500/ft. 7,500 SF x 50 flrs x $500/SF = $187,500,000. PLUS your foundation costs = $192,000,000. Non-Construction Costs (General Conditions at 1%, Insurance at 4%, Profit at 5%) at 10% = $19,200,000. PLUS your land acquisition costs which for a 50 story tower puts you in prime real estate. Let’s be conservative and assume $1000 / buildable foot. 7,500 SF x 50 flrs x $1000/SF = $375,000,000. Then let’s pull in some softcosts. Let’s assume $7/ft for architecture and interiors; $2/ft for structural engineering; $1/ft for MEP engineering; $1/ft for misc disciplines/consultants (LV, telecomm, vertical transportation, expediting, code consultant) = $11/ft or $4,125,000. Grand total of hard & soft costs = $590,325,000. Add to that financing costs - let’s assumr 10% down and 4% to finance….$21,250,000…Let’s round this up and estimate your grand total at about $615 million. The above did not explore legal fees, departmental costs, discretionary action, etc…add that and the number goes up. It takes a few bucks to build a tower. To construct 50 storeys 7,500 SF x 50 flrs x $500/SF = $187,500,000. To construct lesser, say 30 storeys, we simply 7500 x 30 first x $500/SF =. $115M 43 Billion Naira |
QVicky10:Just a quickie dearie |
Bizibi:Thank you Visit this thread https://www.nairaland.com/6294516/why-igbos-refuse-go-into |
chuksjuve: ![]() There's an updated thread |
Obiagu1:What a shallow derogatory response |
Idiotseverywher:I'm Above that level. Find your peers. Enjoy |
MJBOLT:Dem use this meme swear for you? |
Elsueno:Amen |
nku5:Plus free customs pass way. Customs will seize and delay others shipments and give some free passway. Na who be mumu? |
Aconomist:He's killing the economy He determines pricing and drives prices up in ways Nigerians don't give thought to Thanks to Dangote tomato paste wants to reach astronomical levels Rather than have a monopoly system I prefer to have multiple Importers than sell the country to a thief I support systems not people. Unfair business people An Ijebu business man is building the second largest refinery, BUA is also building. Modular ones are coming up, petrol. Is phasing out. Delta state is building state of the art petrochemical industries. SE is partnering with Hyundai to create massive refinery I support healthy business systems not fraudster's who hyperinflation their company portfolio to raise investors emotions, steal their funds, then decline their real value so investor funds remains in negative for even 10 years even with dividends inclusive while they use the cash to build their company and then record madd financial portfolio. This was what Dangote did. If he near me I go expose am I'm not your average Nigerian. I'm not stvpid |
nku5:You're too gentle. These guys also would get cash from the back hand and the monopoly contracts at the front. They were created by politicians. Simple and plain |
nku5:This was what happened. 100% |
Aconomist:Go back and read the tone with which we were interacting to how it was after the change You know the truth bro |
Aconomist:My dear bring a northern business modern separate from presidential policing then I will know you want to intellectualise. As long as Dangote gave Obasanjo 200 M for his election and got rewarded, he will never quality to me as a normal business person. Bring normal Northern business person or brand that isn't dantata, Dangote political business persons white washing money and then we can talk Scratch ya mind ![]() |
BTW your energy has turned from the objective rational intellectual to the pro yoruba/fulani alliance discussionist I'm not even igbo. So don't bother throwing that energy at me no need blowing anti-hero energy towards me. E nor dey touch me one single bitIt's only a matter of time. Some of us dey the pipeline dey work things out. We will shock some pipu ![]() |
Aconomist:On the contrary. I don't discuss Dangote cause I've never seen him as the right model. Are you aware for 30 years Dangote is always working in tandem with the presidency? Abeg leave Dangote, BUa, santana bring up other Northern business brands that alienated itself. From the political processes of white washing money and let's have a discussion then |
Aconomist:My dear it's wrong. Concession ING should have legitimate processes. Not politicians posing as businessmen, their political God father's gives them money through one hand. And without due process hand them monopolistic business conditions. And then you're vexing at me. Am I the one who created the circumstances? Dangote isn't higher than anyone sane abeg. With his dodgy financial books. Fake and fraudulent dividends settlement system Go ad do more research o. I'm not anti Dangote but when it comes to. Him go and look Into Dangote dividends disbursement and how the lack of right dividends payment simultaneously tailed his astronomical financial rise. Same applied to his book managers. Zenith Assurance |
Aconomist:You said it not me. Dangote remains the product of an unfair Obasanjo creation. Simple and plain As of when Dangote was handled the monopoly some of us were shouting, the same way I am still shouting that too large of the markets volume is allocated to him to produce. All of this matters in the right economy. |
Aconomist:Dangote was given. Very unfair advantage by Obasanjo Obasanjo was sponsored in his second term by Dangote to the tune of 200 Million quids. It's in history bro. Obasanjo rewarded him with the monopoly of three commodities. Dangote cashed it on it. Out of fear built the engine room. Of his empire in the core north He's already billions of dollars rich. Hence the refinery which was developed by borrowed and loaned funds majorly by Nigeria is an experimental system that's discard able. He brought the model. Used his brand name to get loan for it. Hence if he loses it, he doesn't lose his backbone. It's strategic. It has nothing to do with love for Lagos. He also chose Lagos because he could easily through the Atlantic ocean ship to international markets and cash out dollars |
nku5:Naaaa See. It goes back to having mediocre intelligence. If one would expend 5 billion and fail. Make him use 2 billion first then drive productivity and out of profitability him go scale up ERISCO is an armature modern business person I'm. Waiting for ERISCO to succeed at just one thing even if na packaged garri, he go still. Complain |
rafindo:Ibeto was killed by FG for fulani/hausa advantage. Everyone knows that na |
Igbochief001:No. Did Nigeria not have smelting companies operating for years.? Go do your home work o |
XANDERO85:Gbam ease of repatriation of funds! Anyways one of the core reasons involved unsteady power supply. I had friends working there even as at when they folded up |
Idiotseverywher:I know your kinds. Just like your moniker. If you can compete intellectually, I drew you by your forefathers grave to use your real moniker and let's engage in that Duel. Full |
ChoCho54:Sorry dear. I've never met an igbo that could compete my level of astuteNess. Sorry You picked the wrong person to fight this nonsensical fight with I've not in anyway spoke I'll about Ndigbo or put it down in anyway yet you think you can take me for a ride. There's nothing Ndigbo is that I'm not. More. We can put it to test here and now. |
