Forensic tests can determine how the deceased died and also narrow it down to the most likely object/weapon used for the murder.

I get you point though, how were they able to come to an immediate conclusion that the accused struck the fatal blow and faked his (deceased) suicide several days after the murder ?
Nigerian police can't even differentiate finger prints, talkless of a decomposing corpse.Their investigation is always based on herasay and brutal torture of suspects.

I saw on BBC world report this morning how sieraleoneans are officially begging the british to come back and recolonize them. And yesterday i was speaking to a congolese who told his country is marking her 50th independence annivassary this year and has invited the queen of belgium as the guest of honor with enoumous diamond gift as homage and i got me wondering, with all that belgium under leopold did to them, they still see belgium as the master.

Today africans are fu-cked to the bone, with little or no sense of humanity.
NSCDC Arrests 69 Fake NYSC Members

The Anti fraud unit of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) has arrested 69 suspected fake members of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC).

The (victims), 39 female and 30 male, including a nursing mother with a 3 month old baby, after spending about two to three weeks met their waterloo when a combine team of the NSCDC from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) command, Abuja and the Keffi Area command, Nasarawa State with the little information they had stormed their illegal orientation camp at Angwan Lambu, Keffi at about 2am on Monday morning, taking possession of every human being, including their properties.

Speaking shortly after parading them before the press in Keffi, Nasarawa state on Monday afternoon, the Commandant General, NSCDC, Dr. Ade Abolorin, who was represented by the Deputy Commandant General (DCG), Mr. Evans Ewurum, condemned the act and promised to investigate further and bring those agents who facilitated the crime to book to avoid future occurrences.

He stated that these culprits are the groups of people who decided to organise their own camp, and prepare their own uniforms through certain agents, with the aim of defrauding Nigerians.

Ewurum added that, he expected that anybody who is a graduate should be able to analyse issues and know when people are playing on their intelligence, saying that if the university from which they graduated has not given them call-off letters and then they didn't follow due process but decided to do it on their own, they should have themselves to blame for whatever comes out of it.

According to him, the NSCDC Commandant General has sworn to fight corruption in the country, assuring that he is not going to leave any stone unturned as his policy is to re-define the concept of security in this country. Some of the suspected fake NYSC members, who claimed to be from Federal Universities across the country, spoke to LEADERSHIP, saying that they were ignorant of the crime they committed.

Elizabeth Elijah, from the University of Calabar said "I was in this situation today because I did not know that the person who brought me is a fake agent. I was thinking am going to be in Kubwa camp in FCT, but unfortunately I found myself in Keffi where I thought I could get my NYSC Discharge Certificate", she stated.

Another victim, Easter Ammah from the University of Jos, Plateau state, revealed that she refused to listen to the advise from her school that they were not going to serve and luckily for her, she met one Saidu who helped her to get a call-off letter and she decided to think out this way as an alternative to get an NYSC Certificate because others have been doing the same.

Responding, the NYSC Director of operation, Mrs. Martha Midala, explained that such fraud has been on ground for quite some time now and is part of the ills that are going on in the society and NYSC is not a different organisation.

According to her, the NYSC have their own measures on ground on how to check this, saying that it was through their own measures that they were able to get the information about them. She warned the fraudsters who specialise in forgery and issuance of fake posting letters, urging the employers and the public to accept only corps members who presented genuine posting letters to their places of primary assignment.

The Director further revealed that the problem of fake NYSC members is a network arrangement and promised that it would soon be disconnected.

Its not that we DO NOT purchase, we DETEST products made in Nigeria. Our neo-colonial mindset still controls pretty much everyhting we do and BUY. It is like reflex, subconsciously we prefer to see a made in UK,USA, CHINA even IVORY COAST of the product label than a NIGERIA.
And do we blame the buyer? Partly NO! When the producers are largely an ensemble of substandard product lovers who care little for human life and the regulators are really more interested in getting their percentages, when the Federal Government has lenient and soft-padded penalties for product adulterators and industry inferiorators, YOU JUST CAN'T TOTALLY BLAME THE BUYER!

IBB is the next president of Nigeria, the ONLY problem he have right now is Goodluck Jonathan.
I am not on your side you know.I am just wondering how long it has taken nigerian to realize that men like IBB and obasanjo are enemies of the state.

How come nigerians didn't see what they are seeing in IBB today in obasanjo when he went for the presidency?

The prices could be regulated with subsidies from the government.Nigerians don't need much cars anyway,we should be working towards upgrading, uplifting and updating public tranport system to reduce people's too much reliance on personal cars.

We should learn from the mistakes of americans whose too much reliance on cars is leading them nowhere but wars, conflicts and maximum exploitatations of earth resources in a bid to maintain the constant flow of fuel.

I am personally aware that people walk into EFCC offices and rescue suspects after settling some key figures in EFCC.EFCC corruption rate can equal that of nigerian police.

Nigeria is a country that corruption is part of the code of conducts and that explains why the president can give one of the highest award of the land to known thieves like etteh and co.It can be liken to a situation where the queen of england will give OBE Award to the great train robber,Mr Ronnie Biggs for his services to england.

That is nothing but RUBBISH. I am the one trying to get you to see Nigerian manufactures as they really are in this. You are the one who continues to COMPARE them to their counterparts in the US/UK without really considering we are not and may not be in the next 20 years close to those standards. Please get your facts right and stop playing the "YOU ARE IN US AND SO I KNOW MORE" card that, in fact only reveals ignorance on your part on the real issue. WRONG AGAIN!!!
I don't know if you are even old enough to know that there was a time when Nigeria had quality goods manufactured and assembled in that country. I don't know if you are old enough to remember when we did not really see much of a difference between buying made in Nigeria and made in some other country or some other part. There was such a time when you looked good whether you are wearing made in Nigeria or made in some part of Europe, it only came down more to taste. You ate ice cream made in Nigeria and it tasted just like ice cream made anywhere else. There was a time when buying OKrika was considered low class . . matter of fact, it was more for the poor if anything.
Stop pretending we never had QUALITY goods made in Nigeria . . matter of fact, we did. Only we compromised and lost out to places like Taiwan, China etc.
Enough of the silly angles please!
I bet you are just talking for talking sake no.I never compared nigerian CAR manufacturing or rather assembling industries with america because i know we haven't even started in that feild. You are the one saying that our products should be as good as that of the developed world and in the face of successive failed goverments that have plagued nigeria for the past three decades or more, you are still wondering why our baby shoot manufacturing industry is  at the brink of collaspe.

I think you need a reality check because you tend to view things on the basis of an american with history of inventiions and technological development. As a nigerian, you have no history or precedences of such of and what ever precedences and history of technological advancement that might accrue later is starting now and we need to clear the ground for it to pick up before criticisms.

We have to learn to walk before we run. We have to earn our comforts by learning to tackle discomforts head on,not wishful thinking.
Politics › Re: Sudan Deports 400 Nigerians by redsun(m): 12:33pm On Aug 04, 2010
The problem with us present nigerians is that we see ourselves as some distant people that will some day come over from the outer space to take over the affairs of our lives, that is why in the face of outright oppressions, maladmistration and gross irresponsiblities from our scum leaders,we are still wondering whether the nightmare is real or not and still dwelling on how we will continue to take live with nightmare instead of how we can get rid it(our irresponsible leaders) that is making our lives miserable, unbearable, redundant and take control of our lives like rational and matured human beings,

We can never go nowhere unless we begin to see ourselves as those that can change things and not wishing that someone else's can.

I disagree!

We do not need trial and error in most cases. We just need to, like in so many other areas of Nigerian life to start doing things right. Remember we no longer have to INVENT most 85% of what we produce, we only need to make it right.  If trial and error is what you subscribe to, then as long as it does not cost me anything, I am good, but when we start to inject government money( i.e people's money into these trials) then I have a serious problem with that.
You tend to see nigerian manufacturing industry in eyes of americans. We are new in the business of munufacturing and like everything new there are bound to be mistakes that can be made right with  strigent supervision, consistency, practice and patronage.

Practice they say makes perfect,it is just the beginning and we are talking as if it the end,all we need is a reasonable and accountable admistrative scenerio as a country for things to really pick up.

Even world class toyota still make  dangerous mistakes with their almost perfect track records in car productions. The greatest threats to made in nigerian vehicles will be the roads and traffic regulations in nigeria, not exactly the finish products.

Rather than continuing to compare with western standards . . . why not consider the true reality of the situation in NIgeria. Location does not affect quality in anyway. Even folks in teh west who cook or put together their products right in their own kitchens do not sacrifice quality as a result of location, They make it work.
The true reality of the situation is for us to understand and get it right fundamentally. If we must have industries we must understand what it takes to run industries and if we must opt for qualities,we must understand what it takes to have qualities.Quality is a gradual process that starts with fake or rather inferior but with time,it shapes up with persistence, support, trial and error.

Kobojunkie:
Location of industries? Dude, we are speaking of Nigeria where were zoning laws are barely implemented. I grew up with at least 2 factories right next to our homes. These companies both had huge markets and accessibility(they were right in Lagos) Both were big employers yet over the years the quality of goods produce fell ridiculously.
What part do you think Government played in this? Government called them up and asked them to stop producing quality products for consumption?
I know to the extent the Nigerian government can and has gone in that BUT that does not remove from the fact that our manufacturers share the bulk of the blame in all this. How many of them are united enough to pressure government to change things?
You failed to realize the importance of location of industry by comparing it with criminally conscripted zoning law.The factors for location of industries are the life lines of any industry, without these factors coming together in favour of an industry or enterprise not even Bill Gate can manage it successfully,he can only manage it for so long but at the end of the day, natural economic laws will take effect,it is like someone trying to stay alive without breathing.

Governments in nigeria propagates corruption, side cutting and dubiousness which everybody naturally flow with, including manufacturer.Until we have a good government,we can never have a good economy
Politics › Re: Nigerian Government Patronising Nigerian Products by redsun(m): 4:02pm On Aug 03, 2010
Even if you are not an economist,i bet you must know what factors for location of industries means-energy,raw materials, market, accessibility, government policies etc and when you put all these into contest as regards nigerian situation for decades now,do you still blame the manufacturers for not doing well and keeping to standard or the system they find themselves in?

It might not be in paper that nigerian government is discouraging manufactures from performing but in practice as always,it is quite glaring that what is setting all spheres of nigerian life back is the leadership.

Kobojunkie:
My response, most of Nigerian economy is informal -- not regulated by government. Any manufacturer can essentially produce goods, get them to the market and start making profits right away. Nothing in our current setting stops that from happening.
Sure we have a corrupt government but we also have an open market that does not hinder manufacturers in any way from pursuing quality to the extent they desire.  If you were to tell me that there exists policies in place to HINDER manufacturers developing quality products to rival those imported from such countries as China, western economies etc. then I would say you should show it and if legit, I will concede that government is the problem here. SInce that does not exist, I believe manufacturers are as much to blame for the problem.
We are not where America is right now or even a 100 years ago government wise, but nothing stops us from making the best of what we have on the way to a better future.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Government Patronising Nigerian Products by redsun(m): 3:24pm On Aug 03, 2010
Kobojunkie:
The government is not working against manufacturers producing quality products and services for the masses. There is no evidence of that. The Aba shoe makers are not commanded to produce less quality shoes for the markets. It turns out quality pays for itself at the end of the day, and the reason why Nigerians continue to, in large numbers patronize foreign goods and services, as well as foreign contractors. Improved quality will not only make sense for the end user but also the companies as well and it is not a onetime investment.

Government ought not to blindly spend billions of our money on products it has discovered are less quality and so more expensive in the long run. Government can urge that the companies improve on quality, and re-apply for partnership but I believe overall government ought to patronize those companies willing to improve on quality as way of helping boost Nigerian made products and quality of these goods at the same time. It should not be a SACRIFICIAL issue at all because the money being spent by government does not come from trees.
What are you talking about?Who are you blaming? Is it the die hard manufacturer struggling against all odds of government maladministration to stay afloat or the government that as a result of their corrupt practices and gross unpatriotism has set a very negative standard that even the manufacture finds himself and follows?,

I am very sure you have heard of regulatory agencies in america, what they stand for and their duties are in the society? If you haven't try and find out and furnish us with their duties.

Nothing can work in a situation where the government is the main detriment to cultural, economic and social progress like in nigeria. In a normal world, government set standards for manufacturers that must be maintained and controlled through supervisions, monitoring, supports, patronage and enabling environments for industries to grow.

It is the duty of any reasonable government to maintain and improve manufacturing standard.
