The way Nigerians condemn their country is so disheartening.

Dour country is not a war monger and we don’t need sophisticated weapons that will cost us billions of dollars.

The like the US and NATO countries invest heavily in warfare because the are born terrorist. They always have a reason for war and why they invest in those gadgets.

Same Nigerians will criticize the government if it purchases F-35. They will tell you such money can upgrade the whole universities in Nigeria.

You can never satisfy Nigerians . Not even Christ or Mohammed.

They are born to condemn!
They are cursed people!

That's why they're like that!

Look, this is a country where the better the govt is doing, the more people will be hating on it.

Just very useless set of people!

You just rushed to quote the part that favors you, didn't you get it that they altered the plan after he knew about the road project that the road should run behind it? The contractors should just build it flyover along that beach line to maintain the area
Flyover?

Bro, do you know that whole beach area is EKO ATLANTIC PHASE 2 territory?

They've even started sand-filling the place!

That dude had no business setting up any long-term business there.

Even without the road being built, he would still have to clear from that place.

that was not the original plan of the road,if you visit that area you will notice that people have refused to put infrastructure on the original route, the one that affects landmark beach is a new plan altogether.
The pictures show more businesses - set to be demolished - on the 'original route' than on the 'landmark' route.

So why should Landmark be favoured over them?

Peter Obi is a tribalist and has always been right from his time in Anambra as governor.

1. If he is not dividing his fellow ibos like the way he deported Ebonyi people from Anambra in 2011 or did not allow non-anambrans to contest in any election even for leadership of market positions,

2. he would pitch them against other tribes like he tagged Ngige a Yoruba candidate during the governorship election in Anambra in 2013

3. and if he can't find a way to divide with tribalism, he would divide people along religious lines like the Anglican vs Catholic fight he created in Anambra.
You forgot his Christian v Muslim divisiveness, via ‘‘it’s a religious war, daddy” tapes.

How did they all end up? Some say it's the heartbreak from the last APC Presidential Primaries that killed Onu. He never recovered, after the tears he shed on the podium that fateful night.

Those who are bad students of history are bound to repeat it. I rest my case!

If na road dey bring more tourism and international standard hotels, how much tourism and International standard hotels have sprung up on the Lagos Ibadan express, Benin Ore express, and existing highways in the country?

Same existing highways are currently a haven for armed robbers, kidnappers and murderers, with many countries issuing travel advisories against travelling to most parts of Nigeria.

Instead of the government to invest in making the present road network better and safer, it is instead squandering money on a white elephant coastal highway? .. Please what exactly is there to tour in Nigeria's coast that warrants such a highway.. What can't the existing highways do that a "Coastal highway" can?
Use your damn head.

Inland roads are VERY different from coastal roads in attracting tourism and real estate projects and investment opportunities.

The govt is within their right to alter the project plan insofar as it is their land.

It’s as if YOU buy a land now, and build a house, but then you leave the front yard free so that passers by had a footpath/shortcut through your compound.

And then the day you decide to build a small boys quarters in the front, your neighbours start abusing you, and calling you a wicked man for blocking their way.

That’s similar to what’s happening with Landmark.

If we go by the nigerian trend of project execution, that road will not be commissioned in less than 10 years. So why couldn't they start from a spot that can let the beach run until they're ready to finalise that spot or just start from the Calabar end? After all it's a dual road.
Because starting it in Lagos has the political and media impact they want, and it’s their right to want that. It also imbues the project with a momentum and urgency that would be absent if initiated from Calabar.

No, Tayo Aina, in those places you mentioned with your inferiority complex, you cannot build on a land you know has been earmarked for a public road, and then when time comes to build the road, you start instructing the govt where the road should pass through.

I seriously doubt if the accused persons killed the policewoman directly as being alleged. There is no sign of violence on the body of the woman. The woman may have had an underlying delibitating illness now triggered by the scuffle which led to her untimely death. I have no doubt in my mind that the police merely wants to frame these people with murder out of bitterness. But I have confidence in CP Tunji Disu of Rivers St. He will gets to the root of the matter.
Even if she succumbed to an underlying illness, they are still culpable for triggering it by beating her up.

You must want to believe this, but it is not true. It was very easy for us to see the benefits of religions that did not require blood sacrifices. And it is obvious that you are better off with religions of the books than religions based on archaic ignorance.

For your information, the British themselves were given Christianity by Rome the same way the British then gave it to us. Difference is the British went on to use their own minds to interpret and understand the book unlike us who still believe what we are told. But that's a time thing.

The day will surely come when our eyes will open so we appreciate Eve.
KEEP LYING TO YOURSELF.

The records are there regarding the 'missionary schools' and how Nigerians were forced to abandon their religion to be admitted.

''The Christian religion that the colonial rulers brought to Nigerians was tied to Western or formal education. Therefore, Nigerians clamouring for Formal Education saw themselves being lured into accepting Christianity as a religion of progress and civilization..''

https://nou.edu.ng/coursewarecontent/CRS833_Christianity%20%26%20Colonialism%20in%20Nigeria.pdf

Our people had no issues with 'blood sacrifice'. They killed animals daily for food, so devoting a couple to the gods was no issue at all for them.

Of course, modernisation leads to changes, and if African religion is brought to the fore, animal sacrifices can be replaced by food sacrifices, flowers, etc, as is now done in Japan by Shintoists, and Hinduists in India etc.

It is the keeping of African religion underground and hidden, that keeps it static.

It must be accorded the same recognition and respect as any other imported religion.

The resulting increased scrutiny and attention will compel its priests and adherents to devise ways of updating their practices in line with modern conventions.

There are millions of converts in China who are Christians who meet secretely in underground churches. Most of them have memorized entire books because they are not allowed to be seen with physical Bible. So each of them read out the portion they have memorized during fellowship. They have discovered true fulfillment that can only be found in Christ. It is my earnest prayer that you find it also.
The christian population of China is 7%.

If YOU were born in China, YOUR chances of being a christian would have been 7%.

By your CRAZED, DEMENTED CHRISTIAN LOGIC THEREFORE, the average Chinese man has been CONDEMNED even before birth.

So, you would take away the Bible and Koran, and lock up all the pastors and imams and priests in a room and force them to accept God Unkulunkulu from Zululand?

Would you also lock up all the Nigerian Muslims and Christians and traditionalist and atheists in a room too and force us all to accept God Unkulunkulu from Zululand?

The reason we abandoned our African spirituality is the same reason the Romans abandoned Jupiter, and the Greeks abandoned Zeus, and the English abandoned Tiw, Woden, Thor and Frig. Basically, a better God came along with a book. And rather than go backwards to those mythical gods, the world is now locking its citizens in classrooms to educate them so they worship the God of Knowledge, just as Nigeria is wisely doing already, though unconsciously and very slowly.

Education, as in, feeding people with the fruits of knowledge, opens the eyes and empowers people to use their own senses instead of being brainwashed to believe in myths. And what Nigeria needs to understand is that the fruits of knowledge are not poisonous and will not kill anyone.
The reason you abandoned your religion is because you were FORCED to abandon them by the British colonialists through a process of ECONOMIC BLACKMAIL.

They seized the resources, ie wealth of the country and made access to it dependent on one receiving an education in their ‘missionary schools’.

To be accepted into the ‘missionary schools’, you had to drop your traditional religion, get baptised, and get an English name.

So they forced your ancestors to become Christians by seizing your resources and making access to them dependent on your ancestors adopting their religion.

Regarding “knowledge”, Knowledge without spirituality is not Knowledge.

It’s sophisticated savagery.

Finally, I never insinuated the forcing of people of other faiths into the new Nigerian religion.
