Abohboy: How is it my limited experience? It isn't compulsory in any educational system as you claimed only a few schools choose to add it into their own curriculum and they're mainly trying to make themselves seem exotic or different from the rest or are trying to gain mor African students it isn't a general thing
Another ignorant and dumb post. It IS compulsory in many foreign 'educational systems' as I just showed you where some American parent is moaning that their kid HAS to read the book! Plus it is NOT ''only a few schools'', and it is not ''to make themselves seem exotic or different from the rest''. Not sure why you feel so damn inferior.
''Things Fall Apart is usually studied in the Australian curriculum under Area of Study 1 - Text Response.''
Abohboy: Bro that's a lie i'm a student in the UK and we haven't had to read things fall apart it was optional not compulsory same goes for those in the US why do you think their knowledge on African culture and life is so limited? It isn't compulsory anywhere it is just an optional book recommended to students what is compulsory is Shakespeare Tempest, Macbeth, The Merchant Of Venice and a few of his over plays, An Inspector Calls and Of Mice and Men those are compulsory readings as much of Nigeria as you will get is Adichie in her Ted talk of a single story
Don't speak from your limited experience. It is still up to schools to make a book mandatory for Literature students, and it has happened a lot with Things fall Apart.
Excerpts;
''i read this along with my 10th grader, who was assigned this ....WHY? In a day where we are, in my opinion, struggling to keep children engaged and gaining knowledge, is this relevant?!?? as an adult, it could have been worse, but I am beyond confused as to why 15/16 year old children are required to read this

Karen Yes, it is relevant, because the global south is still, in this day, now, struggling with the legacy of colonization/occupation.
aremuforlife: Stop comparing Rwanda to Nigeria, they are not mate and they will never be mate. What is the population of Rwanda? Lagos state is more populated than Rwanda, Rwanda is not facing any internal crisis as we speak, the present president of Rwanda is more or less a dictator, will you allow a dictator to rule or lead Nigeria.
Don't mind these small kids typing rubbish with free internet.
Kayzy8: Confusion as Nigeria government agents mobilized black Americans to counter Yoruba Nations Now rally in New York, USA Yoruba Nation rallies are shouting Break Nigeria while African American hired agents were shouting One Nigeria. It has been confirmed that African American hired agents were paid $50 per hour they shout One Nigeria.
ogwumgbe: We are not interested in Nigeria, a country blessed with natural resources and yet remains the poverty capital of the world has nothing to offer igbos. We are tired, we are success minded people and would not like to be dragged backward by those that inherited curses of poverty from their ancestors. Election or no election, nothing will change. Give me a good reason why we should vote? Is there any city in the South east that's up to Africa standard not to talk of international standard? Is there any road in that zoo that's up to international standard? All the votings we have been doing all these years, has any good thing come out of it? They should vote themselves in and share loots as usual, we are not interested. To hell with votes, Revolution now, we want our own country. We will only vote for referendum and nothing more
Did it ever occur to your thick skull that 20 million Igbos resident in other parts of Nigeria and earning their living there, actually DEPEND on Nigerians whom you are insulting, for their livelihoods?
Have you ever been to the north?
Do you have any clue the number of Igbos there?
In fact I am certain in YOUR family there are people right now earning a living by trading/interacting with non Igbo Nigerians.
If you get your landlocked dot republic, and Nigeria deports 20 million Igbos back to Biafra, do you have jobs for them, and houses, schools, hospitals, plus compensation for the billions of dollars lost in Igbo business assets?
Ignorant, thoughtless dunce filled with hate, and zero sense.

malcom1X: If a company is not willing to stand behind its product as safe, especially one rushed to market, I am not willing to take a chance on that product.
Will Osun state pay for those liabilities?
Honestly, I just wonder about these people lining up to inject this mysterious 'vaccine'.
