If institutions are taking down the Nigerian flag in the East for fear of IPOB attacks, then it is time for a national state of emergency to be declared, and for the deployment of the military to the entire south east, for a comprehensive flushing out of all IPOB elements.

The trouble with IPOB is they have no layers of punishment.

No gradations.

One size fits all.

Even ISIS and the Taliban have layers of punishment, from mild to moderate to severe. From flogging, to cutting off hands, to the ultimate penalty - execution.

IPOB has no such gradations for those who flout its 'authority'.

Killing is their only punishment.

They are beyond barbaric.

They are utterly inhuman and beast-like.

That is why wealthy Igbos are fleeing the South east for the North and Lagos.
