This statement is why a lot of people and not just men are in a dire situation. That's not how life works. The reasons are quite clear.

1. Bombing runs are ineffective. Write off 10-30% of your shipment and it's all good. Sort of like cartels writing off a percentage of their drug shipments to seizures as a cost of doing business.

2. Iran and Russia are progressing quite slowly to a iron-clad defense agreement.

3. If they had that, Russia will first produce enough AD and fighter jets to beef up Iranian airspace into a fortress, before doing so for friendly airspace in Syria.

That's not technically possible right now because of the Ukraine war. All weapon systems are forwarded to the battlefield and ammunition depots.

4. Iran is simply incapable of pulling its own weight to protect its interests outside Iran. If Russia goes after Israeli jets operating in Syria, the IAF will pick on Assad's government. That's not a distraction that Russia wants right now. That's essentially two high-profile NATO wars in two continents. Iran would be of no help.

Russia stands back to protect Assad. That's it.

The mullahs should eliminate corruption, fix their economy, then they'll have enough money to acquire and rapidly develop the weapon systems needed to establish a NORAD equivalent in the Levant.

You cannot expect to siphon off your oil wealth, waste in on chicas and whatever perversions you like, then expect the Russians to gloss up your inadequacies. They have commitments around the globe. From Eurasia to Africa to South America. And they're attempting to meet those commitments with an economy that's less than a third of either the US or China.

Talk is cheap. Before attempting to rake Russia over the coals, we should ask if Iran can singlehandedly protect Assad if Russia pulls out.
They can't protect Lebanon. They can't protect Iraq. But they want Russia to fight their battles in Syria.
If you want to be a superpower, be prepared to walk the talk.

If Trump had overplayed himself and tried to force Ukraine into NATO the same way Biden did, he too would have seen a war start right under his nose and he wouldn't be able to do anything about it.

It took Iran holding back to prevent that war. Whether Iran will hold back this time around remains to be seen, but with the Iranian ballistic missiles that landed in Israel and Iran's more open stance to retaliate attacks, I doubt that.

As Dmitry Medvedev said a few days ago, Trump cannot end the war in Ukraine despite all his noise about being friends with Russia.

It's even too late for Ukraine to negotiate reasonably at this point. Russia will only end the war when it's objectives are complete or if Ukraine negotiates - but on Russian terms.

The worst Trump can do is to stop weapons flowing to Ukraine and force Ukraine to the negotiation table. But Ukraine is already considering negotiations already, so it won't do much.

Plus Trump will likely not stop the weapons flowing because of the establishment that controls him will warn him not to. And stopping the flow of weapons won't help Ukraine's position other than to save the lives of more Ukrainian soldiers who would have been sent to the frontlines.

Russia has won this war. It is only a matter of time. The Soviets stopped the German advance in 1941 and started to push them back in 1942, but it took three more years before Germany finally fell, despite suffering defeat after defeat.

Ukraine is on its back legs too. But I can assure you that it won't last three more years before its defeat is complete.

Israel has 600 jets. At any time only about 80% is operational.
They sent 100 jets to create a firework display. More than 20% of their entire operable fleet. They only fired from allied-operated airspace.
Hezbollah alone has 100,000 missiles.
Imagine how many Iran has in its stockpiles.
Iran would fire thousands of missiles before a squadron completes a round-trip.

Guys, drop it.
The balance of power in the ME has changed.
A million NYT articles will not change the stark reality.
Iran is a cut above Israel in the global military pecking order.
