Good day,

From your application status I may be particular about your biometric, have you applied before and are you using your initial profile to reapply? This is to know if they have started implimenting the ones in 10 years Biometric verification. If not your biometric suppose to be reading complited if you have done a fresh biometric. That may bring us to when actually did you apply because biometric may up to 2 to 3 days to update depending if it's through online or paper route.

The gurus can explain further
Thanks for the reply:
Yeah actually I have applied before and was denied. This is my second attempt at the Canada Student Visa.

Hello please how many days does the “Review of Eligibility” take?

Moreover in my application they’re saying that “No Background Check needed” & I have no idea what it means

I myself doesn’t have any idea about what it might mean to be honest.

Hello guys, I wanted to ask a question;

- How long does the “Review of Eligibility” usually takes?

I hope we’ll all have our TRVs. Resting our faith in the most high as always.

Good morning to everyone in the house. I wanted to ask a question;

- should I add my Dad’s land ownership documents to my supporting documents to bolster my visa application or can I leave it out? I’m asking this because I already have 26 pages of supporting documents & I don’t want to bore the Visa officer dealing with my application.

- I have been denied once on the basis of “Purpose of visit” & “Immigration situation in country of residence” as I was in the UK at the time.

Before I apply for masters at thompson rivers january 2019 do I need to contact a supervisor?
No you don’t need that. Just get your documents ready & draft a very nice Letter of Intent to convince the university admission committee. Truth be told admission at TRU isn’t the hardest.

With some prayers, God willing you’ll get it.

Are you going for another MSci or a PhD?
I am going for an MBA this time
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by reichwolf: 1:12pm On Jul 02, 2018
Hello house, please I would love to ask a question;

I made a bullet list of my supporting documents to add to my SOP in the Client Information PDF. I currently have 26 pages of supporting documents ranging from BSc, MSc, Police clearance, previous UK visa, receipt of first semester tuition payment & etc.

It’s that not too much? I’m scared of boring the Visa Officer?

Hello All,

Please is anyone here for UBC MBA school?
I need to find out if there is a basis for the $5000 non-refundable deposit to be refunded.

How about if visa is not given after this payment.
Plz help!!
Attached
I don’t know about UBC in particular as I am applying to go to TRU Kamloops (3 hours from Vancouver) but my school has a refund policy in case of visa refusal. You will just need to contact them and provide them the visa refusal letter. I hope this helps. Keep the faith & know that usually paying some tuition money helps convince the VO too. I myself paid CAD$ 7500 to my school.

I hope you find my post useful.

Good afternoon to everyone in the house & congratulations to the recent TRV approvals.

Please I would like to ask if before adding my supporting documents to my SOP I should first put a bullet list of them all to make life easier for the Visa Officer as he/she will have an idea of what is included?

Good morning everyone.. I found out Uottawa gives applicants opportunity to discuss reasons for low grade.

It is gonna look nice if i state in my letter of intent to uOttawa that one of the reasons why i didn't do well in French language is because i'm a Nigerian, however i'm not that good in French language.

Reason : My sch compulsory french language classes for its stutends. The score apprently reducesd my GPA. Truly i didn't do well in French. I hope i don't bite my self by giving reasons for low grade. any suggestion pls.
Go ahead with that reason. Sometimes simple honesty helps. I myself was pretty honest with my grades in my University application & God willing it turned out well.

Keep the faith going & I hope you’ll get the admission.

Should I merge my SOP with the supporting documents (scans of travel stamps, university transcript scans, police certificates, birth certificate, dad authorisation letter) and upload it where they say “Client information” on the CIC website??

Just a question: Do you all think it’s better to apply through paper route or through online?

Which one has a higher success rate?

Hi guys please I need advice on my visa application.i just recieved my admission letter yesterday to to study masters in business administration for September fall 2018 in Thompson rivers.i have 3 concerns mainly (1) my nysc will be over in October while the semester starts in September (2) advice on how I can present my brother who has two kids as sponsor (3)It’s just two months far from September and am worried about the time frame to prepare my documents and also visa application duration which takes over a month.please guys I need candid advice.thanks
Well since I am also awaiting the MBA unconditional admission letter from Thompson Rivers, I guess your brother has already paid CAD$ 7500 for the first semester tuition fees. So that combined with a bank letter & signed letter by your brother should according to me a sign of good faith. Also add some birth certificates to show the family relation, police certificate & proofs of ties to come back to Nigeria like a career plan once you end your studies.

I am currently perfecting my SOP in await of the admission letter. This is my email if you want us to share tips: adildil56@gmail.com.

I hope we all get the TRV by God’s grace & go to Kamloops come this Fall 2018!!!!

I need help on how to tackle the vo concerns
I want to reapply
Please assist me
I think the main issue is considering your age and the fact that you wish to go with your 3 kids, the Visa officer thought that the cost involved is way too much, & hence this might just be a pretext to enter Canadian soil. Maybe try convincing him with a well drafted career plan & how the MBA will help you in Nigeria once you’re done.

NB: I’m also planning to go to Thompson Rivers University for an MBA this Fall 2018. I’m currently waiting for the unconditional admission letter which I can use for my visa application. I was denied the visa once, so I’m trying to ace the SOP this time.
God is in control of it all. By his grace we will meet there coming September. Amen.

I think its exorbitant oooo... official docs are meant to be brief, it might get boring for the VO,

Besides you might use your words to deny yourself visa sef when u explain non relevant points.. I think three pages is cool if its bigger reduce fonts to 12 (standard font size).
Actually my SOP and Dad's authorisation altogether is only 5 pages. The remaining 11 pages are scans of passport, visa stamps for other countries and payment receipt for first semester tuition.

The fact is that I want to ace this visa application. I'm so tense these days. But I rest my faith in GOD.

@reichwolf:

If you are applying online, There is actually a segment for upload of Int'l passport upload, so take this off your SOP and add it to that segment.

All the other scanned docs including your certificate can come in underneath under supporting docs segment, underneath your SOP, which should be the first doc to start this segment.

You can list the docs as a bulleted list and say attached below to this as supporting docs are ...xyz.

Then close your SOP with your signature.

Paste the other scanned docs underneath that after your signature.

My thoughts.

goingforward.
Thanks for your opinion. I will think carefully about what you said. In kind of a way it might be better to organise the scans in the manner you said.
