lol my first new battery back then was GBM, I bought it brand new and if I charge for just 30 mins the inverter will stop and indicate battery full, after same 30 mins of use during power outage the inverter will be beeping battery low, I thought the inverter wasn't charging the battery optimally and I bought one chunky external analogue charger at a very high price because back then intelligent smart chargers were not easy to come by, finally I had to sell my brand new battery off as scrap @N10.000, since if I see GB I'll run before even seeing the M

In fact what is good for one person is bad for another based on usage and results. I use suoer with all gladness bc it is drains little power. Fine ,both famicare and suoer are both modified sine wave but in reality suoer works for my tv, lightings, woofer ( without humming sound). Humming sound even reduced drastically (with coloured bulbs) when someone here said souer inverters hate loose connection which was right afterwards bc I tested and confirmed it. I used famicare 1kva for few weeks and I see no difference in both.

In terms of size

Most inverters in terms of size are not complete. Buy any oil of say 5L, measure it and u wud discovered that it will not be exactly 5L. Same goes to most things with "sizes" e.g a 1kva(1000w) inverter may probably be 700w while a 2kva(2000w) may likely be 1700w(i.e 1.7kva).

Back to the burnt part

Probably you overloaded your inverter thinking it was a true 1kva or 2kva. I v a permanent saying that, "never load ur inverter above half its capacity".


Note dat modified sine wave is not good for coil based appliances e.g fans, blenders, microwave,oven etc

Whether psw or msw it is not a full alternative to phcn so we all should pamper our inverters like egg dont plug everything with plug in dem

you're my partner in usage � I've been using that suoer for close to three years now without issues and I was the one that told you to make sure all plugin are firm and you won't have any issues, you've really done some research and you've said it all, I might even add that these latest souer MSW are a bit refined than mercury because they might pass for PSW and doesn't hum unless in cases where the connection is loose, I've used my own for almost all my gadgets including my led TV, thou my fan is not coil, I've even thrown my bedside fridge ounce in a while, initially when I bought the inverter I intended using it as an intermediary, to stand in while I see money to buy PSW, like play like play I found out it wasn't that bad and like play like three years don waka and I'm still using it

final conclusion on test after charging and repair=there's improvement in my ailing battery and ainjin pulse repair worked on my battery. I wished I also repaired instead ruining my rechargeable fan battery

Like I always say, the longevity of batteries is based on an understanding of the charging algorithm. If u follow manufacturers specifications u rarely go wrong.

Your battery can bulk charge to 15v and float at 13.8v if u had used the manual setting on the Anjing while charging, then u were charging at more than 16.4v, which of sustained with definitely destroy a cell in ur battery, the more reason it is written in the manual that the manual function should not be used without supervision.

Secondly, if ur battery already had a bad ( u can identify this when ur battery heats up astronomically when charging) then the pulse charger will only make it worse, as it will continue to pump in current to the battery while try to reduce resistance. So In The long run, u'll just get an even bigger problem than u started with.

Lastly, allow the battery to cool down for some hours and use ur rechargeable fan to charge it as normal (slow charge) u might be lucky to get it back the way it was.

We all learn everyday and like I always tell me DIY friends, every mistake is a learning curve.

eleojo2 is correct the charging current was too high and that was my bad because the knob was all the high where I preset it when I was charging the other big batteries and it didn't cross my mind to tune it down for this small batt, so the house should learn from my mistake and have it at the back of their mind.
Secondly due to the swollen state of the battery it wouldn't fit in the space compartment of the fan anymore so I'm stuck.

I tried charging my rechargeable fan battery with the pulse repair because it doesn't last long again, I just can't explain what really happened, maybe it was the charging amp because the knob was all the way when I was using it to charge the other inverter battery, and funny enough I was there and perceiving the odour small small not until a friend came and complained of the strong toxic smell, I started investigation and found out, and the battery was manageable but now I've completely ruined it

Nothing is best than connecting to an inverter plus a specified load at a particular time.After which you monitor with a multimeter or display of the inverter to see how fast or slow the voltage drops at the said load.

Batteries, like I always say, na black market.

Nothing beats a new branded battery when u v the cash.

you've said it all, this their battery tester thingy disappoints, there's nothing better than load testing a used batt, some sincere sellers who value their integrity load tests before selling to customers some use series of 100w former power consuming bulbs in lamp holder to acertain if the batt can hold charge. I've bought used battery from someone here on nairaland which tuned out to be almost useless and when I notified him he started speaking big English and didn't wanna take it back and it took the intervention of well meaning people to settle the issue

There really are kind-hearted folks here, and Saint2ace is one of them.

After my above quoted lamentation, I approached Saint2ace about my need to get at least one of these chargers before weekend, and how worried that Jumia may disappoint me.

Without even asking, the baba just offered to give me one of his to use, pending when Jumia delivers mine. We met at Yaba yesterday and I picked it up.

He even gave me a free voltage display for my battery.

I believe he's the one that dashed out new battery to ceejays 80 in the earlier years of this thread and he's still helping out, that's one of the aims of this thread, more kudos to you @saintface, keep on keeping on.

I learnt something between yesterday and today, I observed that the charger is indeed intelligent and dictects ailing batteries and and switches to desulphation mode and after charging full and I think that's when the repair takes place, like I said earlier I have two ritar 150ah batteries, same make bought same day, I use one at home and the other one in the office, the one at home is failing recently maybe due to under charging because our light at home is too epileptic and I had to rely on my panels for charge and during during this raining season some days was little or no charge. The second one at my office is still top notch maybe because of constant charge because we do have constant light in that area and funny enough this one is always abused because I'm using it for commercial and it's always on from 8:30am till 8 or 9 pm six days a week. My observation was that the good battery doesn't enter desulphation mode after full charge, but the bad one enters desulphation mode after full charge in the right hand indicator while the left indicator will start counting 0.8ah @14.7v, I tested with my car battery which is not top notch and it entered desulphation mode after full charge. So today I decided to carry the batt to my office and charge the battery till it exited desulphation mode because I think that's when the repair takes place, and I've achieved that today because the indicator is reading full charge at 0.0 thou it took up to eight hours on a batt that almost full already. I'll update the house if there's significant improvement when I load test this night.

is the 24v charge 10 or 15amp?
i know the 12v is 20amp

they indicated 12v @20amp but I doubt if it's up to 20amp because it took up to six hours to charge my 150ah from 80% to 100%. My other intelligent charger would have done that in less than two hours,

Finally charged fully with the pulse repair charger and in desulphurization mode, I'll load test tomorrow and acertain if there's improvement in my ailing battery and update the house if there's improved run time.

Logged on to jumia to order the yellow pulse repair charger and realized that the prize has doubled overnight. And I've sold off my own

Yes boss, thanks much, they r lifepo4, was just lucky to get the 3. But, I think each of them has a separate BMS, that's y I even bring it up, each is 12v 40ah. So as to be enlightened the best way to connect them to get 12v 120ah and also get them charged from Solar panels

you really need someone knowledgeable to guide you physically, those batteries are different from your normal batteries, if you were using only one then the stress wouldn't have been much but since you'll be connecting three in parallel you gast to be careful because the battery composition and charging system is different and sensitive, and mistake could be disastrous. With the right connections you really gon enjoy them batteries. if you chance upon the batteries again quote, I'm really in need of them.

Some of u might not like this but sain2ace is right , I created this thread not for sales or advertising purpose but to teach how to setup inverter with low budget, if I wanted to pace ads here and make money I can but I instead teach u how u do it urself ,there are lots of thing I Dont know my self and I learn from others here too, if I wanted to import the pulse charger and advertise here,I can but I chose to tell u guys where to get it, even when I sold my 20amp and 30amp smart charger, I opened a new thread for it , u guys derailed the thread and its the truth, I wonder how u will feel if u open ur own thread for ads and somebody comes in to sell same stuff, how would u feel? @wilmaria14 I get it now , u have made a name and trust ,could u kindly open ur own thread so that peace can reign, I beg u...and its free on Nairaland. most people don't know that this your thread was and is for poor and hustling men to create inverter locally and with cheap means, since you're very lucky and a lot is ridding on your back you can as well create another thread for sellers and all thousands thousands deals should be directed to that since ceejays is now a household name in solar energy �

@wilmaria14 built a very trusted brand in just a matter of weeks and everyone that has done business with him attests to the quality and credibility of his service and goods. He rarely post adverts (maybe twice a week?) I don't see that as a problem.
If you want him to create a thread for his business and stop posting here that'd be denying many people the reliability and credibility of wilmaria14. How many people will know about his thread?

you made some valid points but the sentence " except you're a hater" is uncalled for because saintface said stop littering and not stop posting, and if you're a long time member of these thread you'll admit this is not the first time calling out an individual for over advert, @ilmaria you're doing a good work both in trust and good customer relations keep it up but limit your adverts because the pioneer creator of the thread has some objectives for the thread.

bro I just hope so, I have two of the same batteries, same make, same state, I use one in my shop and one at home, the one in the shop is still kicking strong while the one I use at home ain't giving enough run time lately, feel the reason is because the one in the shop is always fully charged because we normally have constant light unless ounce in a while and then my solar panels will compensate till light is restored, but at home light is always an issue and not steady so I magorly depend on my panels and it's like the panels don't always push the batt to the zenith thereby leading to desulphation, because I have only two 130w which is =260w to charge 150ah batt

sir after the last update wey I charge up to 2.1a. NEPA took light and I still dey find NEPA till now, so I don't think it has gotten to repair stage.
