All of us just dey talk here these people are all the same, since time I can not remember, nothing has really changed. |
There three types of lies, Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics - Lord Courtney in 1895. |
uhnmmmm, nothing wey no dey nairaland, so you guys are pole dancing here hen, |
You guys are missing the point, most students in these expensive private schools do not take part in WAEC/NECO GCE exams. Trust me because they already passed their may/june and june/july exams so no need for that. What next for them is the foreign exams so they can study abroad or jamb to school in naija.
I don't know what point we are missing, those brats in the glorified secondary school are minute compared to teaming population of students in the country, all of them put together are not up to 2%. So whatever happens to them could not be used to judge anything. The failure of the public school children is a national failure and one major problem is that the children of any of the decision makers are not in those schools. It is either their children are grown up or are in private schools. Back in the days, we had governors children, ministers children even president children in the school with us. I remember, Iyabo Obasanjo was in UI, Latinwo, Aikhomu sons were in Unilag, Jubril Aminu as a VC at Unimaid, had his daughter studying medicine in UI, etc, etc. That time, if schools were closed they too would have their kids back home and things would be sorted out quickly. These days, even councillors do not have children in public schools. Imagine if Fasola's child was in Kuramo College or Rotimi Amechi daughter in Orominike High Schl, wont they take care of the schools more genuinely than for political reasons? They keep spending cash enough to train a village on one child just because they are callous and the society seems helpless. Secondary education is a means to an end not end in itself, so why paying N2,000,000 a year to get school cert, even if you need it to enter Harvard or Cambridge. Private universities are even cheaper than those secondary schools now. |
^^^^^^ Standard of exam has not reduced, it is the standard of students has fallen, these students are answering the same level of questions most of us wrote. Schools are badly maintained worse still those taking care of education, just like other things, do not have children in those schools, just as they do not attend our hospitals, or use our PHCN,. They all have their children in private and insanely expensive schools, or what else would you say about secondary school where you pay about N2,000,000 per session. |
then you have to provide your itinerary, within nigeria or from where to where |

International Women's Day 2010: Cervical Cancer Awareness Communication 1. Cervical Cancer Sunday March 08, 2009 – was a date set aside as ‘International Women’s Day’, in this light I feel it is important to sensitize Nairaland Forumites about a disease that kills more women than any other disease except bosom cancer – CERVICAL CANCER. The essence is to emphasize the key facts about this disease and motivate all to take necessary action to protect themselves, their wives and daughters against this dreadful disease. 2. Cervical Cancer is a problem affecting many women worldwide Every two minutes a woman dies of cervical cancer worldwide1. Cervical Cancer is the second most common cancer affecting women worldwide accounting for about 10% of all cancers. Every woman is at risk of this whatever the age. 3. Where does Cervical Cancer develop? Cervical cancer develops in the cervix – the low, narrow neck of the uterus that opens into the womanliness. The cervix is of vital importance because it protects the Uterus, it prevents infections from reaching the uterus. 4. The NECCESSARY Cause of Cervical Cancer is a virus Over the last 20 years, scientists from around the world have proven that certain types of a virus called Human Papillomavirus (HPV) are the NECESSARY cause of cervical cancer. These types have been detected in up to 99.7% of all cervical cancers worldwide. There are more than 100 types of the virus among which types 16, 18, 45, 31, cause about 80% of all cervical cancer cases. The virus can be transmitted during intimacy or even sometimes during intimate focal place skin to skin contact. Every sexually active woman has an increased risk of contracting the virus. In fact up to 80% of women will be infected with some type of the virus at sometime in their lives. 5. You can do something to help yourself There has been huge success with smear testing (screening), also called Pap test in many countries around the world. Regular smear testing is presently the most effective way of detecting the cervical cell abnormalities, which may be early signs of cervical cancers. Whilst the smear test does not prevent the virus, it does help to identify early signs of the disease. This then allows treatment to be given quickly, easily and often successfully. Make a point of finding out when your next test is due. Regular attendance of smear test will help you protect yourself. Cervarix Vaccines are recommended for young female children aged 9 -14years!. |

Dressing is not a sign of fanatism, if she is "fanatical" as want us to believe, she would not get along with you to the point of considering marriage. I think she just like dressing like Muslim girl maybe from family upbringing. |
ROSSIKE:Even if he run and no rigging, he cannot win in the present set up of Nigerian. Those who vote in Nigeria do not know any other person apart from PDP AC ANPP and the rest. Those writing critically in news papers and Nairaland do not vote. it is the same touts and illiterates that vote. Gani Fawehimi and Pat Utomi have done that and confirmed it. They were not rigged out they were not just know. |
