yes, but as long as the person being punished is not innocent, it is still acceptable. You may not be able to kill all the rats in the house, one day govt would develop enough gut to arrest the like of odili who is hiding under court injuction to evade arrest.

I cant imagine some people are heartless and fool, celebrating the death of your President, If at all you dont love him, atleast he is a human being and he deserves some respect, I cant imagine people like gong or whatsoever talking about IBB, crazy people, RIP President Umaru Musa Yar'adua (The first Nigeria Graduate President, The First Politician to declare his asset and also to declare that he was elected by a rigged election), "De Prince"
My brother, that is why Rueben Abati once wrote that foreign countries should be commended for given us any respect at all, because we have none for ourself. Jonathan that is the president now had to be forced and blackmailed by pressmen and others before he could declare his assets, and we he did, he declared N250m for himself and billions for the wife. Lets wait and see how much would be declared at the end of his term.

Turai:

WHATS GONNA BE IS GONNA BE

WHAT GOES UP MIST COME DOWN

WHAT`S GONNA BE IS GONNA BE

THERE`S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.
If Turai really stood by her husband till death, protected his dignity till death by not allowing "press men" to make money with his terminal body looks, I think she is a kind of wife to crave for. May Allah fill the vacuum which the departure of her dear husband left for her.
Everyone would die, including the haters and mourners on NL. Today we are saying whatever pleases us about a departed man, we should purse and think about what would be said about us too when our own days come.
May the soul of the departed rest in peace. He did his bit let those left behind do theirs too.

@Dr Felie, w e would soon know what happened, because those who should know made it out of the rig, Companymen, Toolpusher, Halliburton cementers etc. infact lots of info on the internet already in Rigzone, and drillers dot com.
@Shinatu, yes, They were plugging and abandoning a well after setting the first plug, with the riser displaced to sea water, as soon as they ope the BOP ram to pull to the next setting depth, a kick that was under he BOP got in to the riser and blow out . In deepwater, once a kick is above your riser the hope of control is limited because the diverter is not designed to hold more than 500 psi. it just to divert flow as the names implies. You can have formation fluid in the wellbore unknowingly thru swabbing or negative testing without incompetent integrity behind casing. If kick was gas according to gas law volume would have increased tremedously before getting to surface and the result is always catastrophic.
The accident would stir up alot of mess not for BP alone but the whole industry especially that it occurred in an area with one of the highest compliance regulators.

Long time guys, the recent incident in the Gulf of Mexico involving Transocean Horizon semi should be a wake up call for all about inherent dangers in our business. Well Control equipment failure is being speculated. While more facts continue come to surface, we all should improve on our well control competence beyond paper certificate. Take more interest in mitigating devices and methods and bold enough to speak up against any short cut that tends to compromise safety for economic reasons. 11 guys went down with the rig 9 Transocean 2 Service personnel (MI Swaco) that should tell you something, Companyman and other the big boys escaped.

We need to look at the "probe" with some positive sides, if the guy is above board he would come out stronger. Performance should not be and excuse for lewdness. Clear conscience need not fear accusation.

Remii, looks like you need to take a class prior to coming on this thread so the discussions wouldn't seem outlandish to you buddy!
Everyone needs to learn a thing or two about everything, so I have no problem with that, but what I would not subscribe to is the notion that anything not well understood or conform with perceived normal is diabolic or evil. You can not tell me these guys are evil just because they pray in way you do not understand. You may have to state details of what they do that you consider devilish.
History has it that early churches have declared some people devilish only to be proven right afterwards. Galileo Galilee was put to death by the church for teaching that the sun was center of the universe against the church believes that earth was, we all know better now.
Better, if you could tell me that you were a member and give evidence of the delivish acts or specifically swearing allegiance to the so called Lucifer, I may begging to take you serious.
Even in modern religious group, some Pentecostal consider Catholics as pagans due to some of traditional practices such as bowing down for images and statues, ceremonial incense burning, etc.

Good and bad people are all over not necessarily due to the association they belong.

I think we should commend the maturity of frosbel, many others on NL would not even read counter opinion all they do is reapeating themselves and insulting opposing views, a visit to the so called religious section would convince, if not, confuse you.
