gbl01: They own us. I'll give up on the government if they regard the report at all. Wtf is with the west? Using Boko haram yo terrorize us and using Amnesty intl to or vent us from fighting back?/( that's my own theory anyway, might be wrong). I'm forced yo remember George Carlin. Below is a statement from him. Forget the politicians. They are irrelevant. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice! You have OWNERS! They OWN YOU. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought—and paid for—the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want: They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests. That’s right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they’re getting bleeped by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago. They don’t want that! You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shitty jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street—and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you sooner or later ‘cause they own this fucking place! It’s a big club, and you ain’t in it! You, and I, are not in the big club. By the way, it’s the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head with their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table has tilted, folks. The game is rigged and nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care! Good honest hard-working people; white collar, blue collar it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on. Good honest hard-working people continue—these are people of modest means—continue to elect these rich cock suckers who don’t give a Bleep about you….they don’t give a Bleep about you… they don’t give a Bleep about you. They don’t care about you at all… at all… AT ALL. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that’s being jammed up their assholes everyday bro, but there are videos. Was shown on CNN. Though not of killing people, but they were obvious right violations in the video. |
Politics › Nigerian Army And Report Of War Crimes By Amnesty International by remmer56(op): 8:02pm On Jun 03, 2015 |
Nigeria's army behind countless acts of torture and 8,000 deaths, Amnesty says Call for top officers to face war crimes inquiry as report based on hundreds of interviews and leaked files alleges widespread abuses in campaign against Boko Haram. Senior military officers in Nigeria should be investigated for war crimes including the murder, starvation, suffocation and torturing to death of 8,000 people, Amnesty International has said. An investigation carried out over several years, perhaps the most damning account yet of the military response to Boko Haram, casts a shadow over the first foreign trip of the new Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, during which he is set to discuss a fresh regional strategy against the Islamist group. Amnesty set out on Wednesday the case against five senior Nigerian officers in a 133-page report based on hundreds of interviews, including with military sources, and leaked defence ministry documents. Amnesty claims that a high-ranking military officer gave it a list of 683 detainees who died in custody between October 2012 and February 2013. The organisation also obtained evidence that in 2013, more than 4,700 bodies were brought to a mortuary from a detention facility in Giwa barracks. Emmatdayo: The Premier League champions have re-discovered their scoring form as they prepare to face last season's Champions League conquerors at the Etihad Stadium Manchester City will look to avenge last season's Champions League exit and reach the quarter- finals for the first time when they take on Barcelona at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday. Barca defeated City at the same stage of last season's competition - a 4-1 aggregate success set up by a 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium, with Manuel Pellegrini's side having a man sent off in both fixtures. City, however, head into the match having rediscovered their form and scoring touch, with the last two Premier League games yielding six points and nine goals. Saturday's 5-0 hammering of Newcastle United was City's first triumph at home since New Year's Day and came on the same day leaders Chelsea dropped two points against Burnley. With his side's domestic title chances having received a boost, Pellegrini's focus will now fall on helping City finally reach the last eight. The Chilean is without Yaya Toure, however, as he concludes a suspension following his dismissal against CSKA Moscow. James Milner, who missed the clash with Newcastle, trained on Monday and looks set to return to the line-up in the Ivorian's place. Should he miss out, however, he will be replaced by either Frank Lampard or Jesus Navas. Barcelona, meanwhile, will seek to exorcise the demons of Saturday's "painful" home defeat to Malaga by overcoming City on their own pitch for the second successive year. Luis Enrique's side were lacklustre in a 1-0 La Liga defeat which handed the initiative firmly to rivals Real Madrid in the domestic title race. But the Catalan club still harbour hopes of completing a treble this season, with European aspirations taking centre stage on Tuesday as Barca head to the home of the English champions. And erasing the hurt of the weekend's setback is top of coach Luis Enrique's priorities. "Defeats are painful whenever they occur and are difficult to overcome, but we have a great challenge [against Manchester City]," he said. "I hope this [performance against Malaga] was an accident, but we will see in the coming weeks." The result ended a run of 11 consecutive victories for Barca, who are on the brink of reaching the Copa del Rey final after their 3-1 first-leg triumph over Villarreal. A 21-man Barca squad will make the trip to Manchester, with the one cause for concern being defender Jordi Alba, who trained alone on Sunday following a knock. One man among the visiting contingent who may have more to prove than the rest is Dani Alves, whose failure to deal with a straightforward long ball allowed Juanmi to net Malaga's winner at Camp Nou. The Brazilian will have fond memories of facing City, though, having netted in both legs last season. The return leg will take place in Barcelona on March 18 - just four days before El Clasico. WHAT'S THE KICKOFF TIME? |
