Javanian: No they weren't, they were just trivial.

Not with those medicore softwares..

My suggestions.

1. A payment gateway that would enable Nigerians make payments online with airtime on their phone..

2. Rebranding the failed wazobia linux project and making it open source

3. An online translator that translates languages in our local dialects

igbo - hausa
hausa-yoruba
yoruba to pidgin
hausa to english

and so on

4. A 3D/HD war game that depicits the Nigerian civil war which would include well known personalities like awolowo, ojukwu and so on.

5. A 3D/HD Adventure game that has cultism and Confraternities in our Nigerian Universities as its theme.

Games should be on the android/ios and possibly P.c/Ps3/XBOX 360
the first project might nit be possible reason been that airtime is not legally accepted as a means of payment all over the world and recently, at the just concluded cardAtmAndMobile Expo @ Eko Hotel i asked paga Ceo y recharge card is nt accepted as a means of payment. and his response was throughout the whole world, the highest payment u can do via airtime Is 100 Naira.

nice one from tim cook

If everyone is busy
making everything...how
can anyone perfect
anything? We start to
confuse convenience
with joy, abundance
with choice. Design
requires something:
focus. The first thing we
ask is what do we want
people to feel.
Delight...surprise...love...connection.
Then we begin to craft
around that intention. It
takes time. There are a
thousand no's for every
yes. We perfect. We
start over, until
everything we touch
enhances every life it
touches. Only then do
we sign our work:

PoliticsAbati In 2009: I Saw Ribadu In Rwanda Byreuben Abati by remmyz(op): 2:01pm On Jun 11, 2013
Reuben Abati
I Saw Ribadu In Rwanda, Reuben Abati
I ran into him at the reception lobby of the
Hotel Des Milles Collines in Kigali. He had just
arrived and was trying to check into the hotel:
Nuhu Ribadu, the erstwhile Chairman of the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
who lost his job under rather controversial
circumstances, and who is regarded as having
been unfairly treated by the Yar'Adua
government. I hugged him. He had lost nothing
of his humility, his sense of humour and his
humanity. He didn't look like a man who had
just been rough-tackled by the unpredictable
Nigerian state whose moral compass is subject
solely to the whims and caprices of whoever is
in charge, and not necessarily principles and
values.
The following morning, we sat together on the
same long table, and I slipped a note to him. I
wanted an interview with him for The Guardian.
It is about time he told his story at great
length. He read my note, and picked up his pen.
I noticed that he is a Southpaw, and I chuckled
remembering how so many southpaws tend to
find themselves in the hot corners of history. In
his response, he had said "we would discuss."
We were both attending a conference organised
by UNECA in collaboration with UNDP to assess
the efficiency and impact of anti-corruption
institutions in Africa. There were anti-corruption
chiefs in attendance from various African
countries.
Ribadu wouldn't grant an interview, but he was
ready to discuss. "I think it is better for me to
remain silent now", he says. "I am using this
period to reflect on what we did. You know
when I took up the job in 2003, I resolved that I
will try my utmost best. And walahi, I tried. I
took the assignment seriously. Maybe I failed,
but at least we proved that it is possible. So, I
have been thinking and trying to figure out
what further should have been done or could
have been done differently." We were soon
asked to introduce ourselves. When it was
Ribadu's turn, he told the meeting: "I am Nuhu
Ribadu, former Chairman of the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria,
currently recuperating from a bloodied nose".
The hall cracked into laughter. But the other
anti-corruption chiefs and operatives would not
laugh later when Ribadu took part in a country
case studies panel.
There has been so much speculation about
Ribadu's whereabouts in the Nigerian press. But
the fact is that he is currently a Senior Fellow
at St Antony's College in Oxford University in
the United Kingdom, working with Professor
Paul Collier, the leading authority on African
economies and politics. St Antony's College has
become the sanctuary for many progressives
who get into trouble in the developing world.
Ribadu stays in a residence that was recently
vacated by Anwal Ibrahim, the embattled former
Prime Minister of Malaysia whose only offence
was that he fell out of favour with his boss,
Mahathir Muhammed. "Such a nice man",
Ribadu says. "he left me his plates and cutlery
and kitchen utensils." One of the persons
Ribadu met on arrival at St Antony's is John
Githongo, the Kenyan newspaper columnist and
anti-corruption campaigner who had to flee
from Kenya in 2005, after he discovered that the
majorly corrupt persons in the country are his
own colleagues: Ministers and the big men of
Kenyan society. Githongo got their confessions
on tape, but they told him bluntly that they are
the ones milking Kenya dry. One fateful day,

Githongo packed his bags and fled to London,
from where he sent a letter resigning his
position as Permanent Secretary for Ethics and
Governance in Kibaki's NARC Government. He
has now returned to Kenya where he enjoys
massive media and civil society support, and
his book, written by Michela Wrong and titled
It's Our Turn To Eat will be released in London
on February 23. It will go on sale in Nairobi the
same day. read more

Apple devices are set to get a new version of iOS. At the company’s Worldwide Developer Conference, iOS 7 was announced to the world. It’s being called “the biggest change to iOS since the introduction of the iPhone.” It’s packed with amazing new features and a brand new interface.

The new iOS has a new palette of colors, distinct functional layers to develop hierarchy and order within the operating system. It also includes a sense of translucency to provide better context of your information designed to show more depth and vitality. The iPhone responding to your movements provides a parallax of depth and in many ways was designed to create an interface that was unobtrusive and differential, according to Apple’s Jony Ive.

Users with iOS7 will find that the typography and the liveliness of the home screen is apparent. The operating system carries over throughout the system the liveliness of the information so that it follows your every movement. The design has been made so that it works best with all the apps that you’ve used, including photos, messages, and an improved Game Center. The design of app folders have also been redesigned as well.

iOS 7 has been a “comprehensive, end-to-end, redesign of your iPhone experience” and is considered to be a feature release:

Control Center:

iOS7 now lets you swipe up from the device and get to the controls that you want right away, whether you want to play a song, turn on airplane mode, turn on a flashlight, or whatever else. Users can access it from anywhere, including the lock screen.

Multitasking:

iOS7 has been built on industrial strength of OS X. Apple says that they’re all about supporting longer battery life when an app is running. With iOS7, multi-tasking will be available for all apps with greater battery life. Including intelligent scheduling, opportunistic updates, adapts to network conditions, and has push triggers.

Safari:

Safari is said to be the most popular mobile browser and now comes with a new full screen. Users can tap at the top to get a smart search field with one-tap access to their favorites and search URLs. It also includes parental controls and iCloud keychain that also comes with Apple’s new OS Mavericks.

Airdrop:

Apple’s way to share files with people around them. When accessed, the app will pull up a share sheet where you can send photos, videos, and files with your friends and can pass it along to multiple people. In a bit of a pot shot at Samsung, Apple says that iOS device users will not have to bump devices.

It uses the latest WiFi hardware and supports iPhone 5, iPad (4th Generation). iPad Mini, and iPod Touch (5th Generation).

Camera:

iOS7 comes with new camera support that allows users to swipe between multiple camera apps, whether it’s Instagram, the native app, or any others. Apple also just added filters.

New Photo App:

In order to help better organize photos into Moments, Apple has unveiled a new Photos app that is automatically generated as you shoot. With a retina display, it’s believed that users can make out patterns. The device can help you remember when specific photos have been taken. Photos can also be shared through Airdrop through Facebook, iCloud, Twitter, and email. Shared photo streams can also be made allowing people to collaborate when they’re on trips.

Videos can also be shared with friends.

Siri:

Siri has also been updated with iOS7 with new voices, both male and female, and additional language support for French and Spanish. Apple says that it has gotten a lot smarter and can control device settings like voicemail, brightness, bluetooth, and more. Microsoft’s Bing search engine has also been integrated, as has Twitter and Wikipedia support.

The company says that it has sold more than 600 million iOS devices and people are using the devices more than anyone else. Cook says that just like as customers buy more apps, they are buying more iPhone and iPad devices, citing a IBM study of Black Friday mobile shopping last year. At their event, Cook said that iOS satisfaction is measured at 97 percent and that it has been rated number one in customer satisfaction according to J.D. Powers & Associate nine consecutive times.

At last year’s conference, Apple revealed that there were approximately 365 million iOS devices in the world and 80 percent of them had moved to iOS 6, which was also released then. The current version of iOS offers users updates to Siri, sports capabilities, better search features, and international language support for Mandarin, Cantonese, French, German, and Korean.

Today, the latest version of iOS is now being used by more than 90 percent of all its users. Cook compared it against the Android marketplace where 1/3 of all Google device users are on an OS that was released in 2010.

Intermarc Consulting Limited has concluded plans to host the 13th edition of the annual international conference and exhibition on cards and e-payment systems in Lagos as cards and epayment system continues to take centre stage in the economies of most African countries.

The statement added that the biggest card exhibition in Africa will see high calibre executives including the deputy governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, the managing director of NIBSS, as well as managing directors of banks and other leading epayment service providers from Nigeria and overseas in attendance.

“Over 50 exhibitors from countries like Portugal, China, Egypt, France, United Kingdom, Dubai, Morocco among others will exhibit the latest technologies in electronic payment and would opportune members of the public who are interested in having a better understanding of the Cashless technologies better knowledge.

“The companies include SIBS International, Master Card Worldwide, JCB, Samsung, Airtel, HPS, etc. The major Nigerian banks like Diamond, Zenith, Skye, Access etc. will also be there along with the CBN,” the statement said.

It added that the conference will have sessions on how successful shared service implementations across the world can share their learning points with Africa.

“In order to maximise the potential benefits of e-payment, the concept of shared services has been adopted in most implementations in the UK, Asia and Europe. i think the strategy adopted for this show cant really bring out the real entrepreneurial skills. the contestant go out to talk to organizations and ppl telling them they are from the titan show... i can imagine if the mega corp is a team outside the reality show...will they be able to pull all that kind of money within that short period of time?

is it that easy to work in into an organization or a local government to secure fund with just 2 days?

Tech JobsMulti Store Script Needed by remmyz(op): 3:25pm On Jun 06, 2013
If any serious developer is watching this thread and you want to cash big and fast creating this php script, I'll show you the features you must include. And I'll tell you, this system is quite simple, there's nothing impossible or complicated here. One more thing: There are MANY people looking to buy a script like bigcartel.com, just search google and you'll see by yourself.

The right multi store php script must have these main features:

1 - subdomainforeachstore.example.com - with ability to add own domain if the user so desires.
2 - subdomainforeachstore.example.com/products/with-search-engine-friendly-urls-001/
3- Direct checkout when clicking the Pay Now button- or other payment systems - with no need to login to create user account.
4 - Effective and easy inventory tracking.
5 - Nice themes for users to choose including independent logos for each store.
6 - Each store is independent with their own categories and a Search This Store box.
7 - Example.com main page has a search box that will search through all stores and latest items added.
8 - Automatic Twitter notification on new itens added.
9 - All Social bookmarks for each item (addtoany)

Well, just look at www.webmallng.com, http://zanyox.com.ng/. That's what the script is supposed to do.

I'm asking God every day that someone inspired will create this peace of software, I NEED IT!!!
