What the guy is saying is there's no difference between what Israel is doing to Gaza and what Iran is currently doing. And BTW both are actually bombing indiscriminately and killing civilians. It's just that Iran no longer tells the number of civilians Israel's bombing result in. We all have our biases, but at least don't let your conscience go numb while at it.

What do you mean cramped up? What you're seeing there is as a result of decades-long city planning enforcement. This is the norm in the modern times—high-rise apartment buildings with invisible roofing sheets not the duplexes with red, green, blue, pink aluminum roofing sheets we are used to in Africa here.

Nigeria lacks a concrete city building master plan. Even in areas in Lagos where you have this kind of buildings, you'll see them mixed with buildings with aluminum and iron roofing sheets and you'll see how scattered they are — lacking uniformity.

I just came across this photo on Facebook and I had already concluded it was a European city only to see the caption reading Tehran, Iran.

When we say Lagos is a slum, some people don't understand. Can you see the way the buildings were meticulously arranged as if they were built on the same day?

You've forgotten how some people also mocked Israel for being unable to stop Hamas attacks that killed many Israelis in Oct 2023. And now the tide has turned 180° against Hamas. It's too early to make conclusion, but I hope this doesn't escalate into something big.

There are always suburban areas in every city, which is what places like Nyanya, Kubwa Village, Mpape, etc, are. At least when you go to districts like Asokoro, Maitama, Gwarimpa, Wuse, Wuye, you see how very planned those places are - you won't see brown roof mixing up with beautiful buildings or 4 by 4 shops or people frying akara by the roadside. In fact in these places, you'll hardly come across a single inch of ground that's not paved.

As far as I'm concerned there's only one city in Nigeria and the name is Abuja. To build a city, you map out the whole land, specifying the roads, streets, residential areas, business districts, packs, sidewalks, etc. Only Abuja did this and has been largely following the laid-out plan. Lagos is a pile of slum with dots of skyscrapers and beautiful mansions surrounded or mixed together, and doesn't come close.

Trust me when I say that you need a very big redemption from this repetitive attempt to make people believe old is better when reality shows otherwise.
