He's probably trying to get money to the judge before he finally shows up. Or maybe he has tried and it failed and they've told him the judge may not grant him a bail, seeing how he's playing hide-and-seek with the EFCC. 1 Like |

MrBrownJay1:You mean you don't understand what I mean by "compare"? Like saying "If this country can do it, we too can". China intentionally sponsored and still sponsors their citizens to the US and Europe to study technology , so that they can localize and even do it better than the original inventors/innovators. |
Politics / Re: Whites Want To Colonize Africa Again. by RenaissanceGuy: 9:03pm On Apr 28 |
MrBrownJay1:OK, population size is also the reason Bayelsa the least populated state in Nigeria and receiver of humongous monthly oil proceeds has nothing to show for or?? Why shouldn't I compare ourself with China? If China hadn't compared them self with US or Europe, they would have still been stuck with poverty and console themselves that their extremely large population size is to blame. A 1 million people irresponsible African country making as much money like Nigeria is making would still be poor for any reasons or excuses they can come with. |

MrBrownJay1:All these excuses are not tenable. This same West never wanted China to rise, but China rose nonetheless - through hard work and resilience. Is the West also responsible for our inability to use the trillions of dollars we've made from oil to make our country look like Saudi,Qatar, UAE have done?? |
Politics / Re: Whites Want To Colonize Africa Again. by RenaissanceGuy: 7:58pm On Apr 28 |
MrBrownJay1:You mean France put gun on the head of Niger and said this is the price they must sell their uranium to them, that's if your claim is even true in the first place?? What you don't seem to acknowledge is that Africa's underdevelopment is largely self-inflicted. Even the simplest of agriculture, we can't feed ourselves - we pack billions of dollars every year to import food from Europe, Asia and the Americas. Ordinary TV we can't manufacture. Until Africa copies from China and begin an industrializelation revolution, we'll continue to blame the Europeans. Let's break away from that excuse, like countries such as China, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Malaysia, did, building prosperity for their citizens. |
Politics / Re: Whites Want To Colonize Africa Again. by RenaissanceGuy: 7:02pm On Apr 28 |
MrBrownJay1:When are you people going to let go of this so-called "White stole Africa's natural resources" propaganda?? Mention 1 African nation whose natural resources were stolen and there's nothing left. Africa's problem has only been that they don't know how to process their mineral resources to finished products and use it to create prosperity for themselves. What have we done with the 100s of billions of barrels of crude oil we've taken from the ground? Nothing. The untapped gold, uranium, tin, columbite, etc, we have in Nigeria - what have we done with them? Nothing. We're waiting for foreign investors to come and help us mine them and pay us peanut change. 1 Like |

Foreign Affairs / Re: External Foriegn Reserves By Country As At 1st March 2024 by RenaissanceGuy: 7:46pm On Apr 24 |
The correct figure is $32b. During Yar'Adua'a tenure, I remember hearing in the news that Nigeria's forex reserve was around $40b+. It's 17 years later and instead of us to be around $80b+, we're now down to $32b+. Jorussia:Lie. Though it's true that Obasanjo grew it exponentially from $5b, but it was $43b he left it at, not $70b. Jonathan massively depleted it with nothing to show for it. 46 Likes 1 Share |
