Not exactly as I'd like: V - 161, Q - 165, but I'm hoping the AW score would be better than the previous one.

TOEFL was sweet and terrible! I had 20 on the speaking section, writing 29, Reading 29 and Listening 30, I wish I can have your speaking score right now. I'm trying to complete my SOPs now, that's the last part of my application.
Hey Bro! Congrats on your GRE. Wishing you the best in your overall application!

Abeg, I'm having seriousissues with Verbal especially RC. Any suggestions on how best tp improve?

I seriously need help!!!!

Plus is there anyone in Warri, Delta State we can study together?
I don't seem to have issues with Quants yet... except my tiny mistakes.

Hi folks.... quick one...
As advised, I plan on applying for a straight to PhD for fall 2017.
I'm preparing for GRE presently, and should be writing it latest November.

So, I'm I to start reaching out to Schools now or I should chill till the results are out?
Won't it be too late by thenhuh Especially considering the fact that I'd need funding..?

Thanks

Hi everyone...here goes the popular intro...I've been silent on the thread for a while, started actually from batch10, trying to read from page1. Thanks to everyone who has been helpful here...you've touched more lives than you can imagine in positive ways you can't imaginesmiley
I finished Bsc Electrical Electronic Engineering with a CPA of 5.7/7. I wrote IELTS earlier in the year with overall band of 8.0 ( my focus was Canada then but couldn't get RA).
I intend to do MSc in anything Electrical with probably some Business options. I'm still having a hard time finding the right course ( I'm very open to suggestions)

I'm shifting focus to the States because I think US has more funding opportunities compared to other countries particularly because I don't have the financial muscle to foot the bills. I'm trying hard to save up but I need some form of funding preferably RA or TA

I'm prepared to write GRE now ( Uncle Gunther6 promised some good discount, plenty thanks to him).

Where I need help now are possible schools that can provide funding or scholarships. Im trying to compile a list since I have to submit the GRE scores to them immediately after the test.

I've tried some other countries with no success basically because I keep to myself most times. I don't want to make same mistakes this time,so I'm open to corrections and guidance from everyone.

Thanks. Hoping to get suggestions soon!

I promised to give out a free GRE( It has been received by Adazlolly/Priceless200 a travelander) and subsidize 2-3 peoples TOEFL/GRE. The remaining 30% subsidy was booked by some NL'DERS but I keep hearing I need it next month, next year... We do not know what next month or year holds neither are my co-facilitators comfortable with hogging of opportunities, so I am throwing it open, It is strictly on a first come basis and I will not be keeping nor reserving a slot for anyone. I will be contributing to plauses subsidy scheme at the end of the month by Gods grace
Bro! I seriously need this your offer o.
I am ready to write GRE but this exchange rate has been the issue. Can I get the offer pleeease?

Plenty thanks in advance!

Interesting Munky....No IELTShuh

But do you have German Language Certification?

Seem like you're going for PhD..? Right?

Maybe you should help with what course you're applying for and the level of Degree.

And I wish you God's favor with your search for fund..but I'd advise you consider friends or relatives instead.

You have my best wishes bro!

Please guys with info about TU Darmstadt, correct me if I'm wrong...

It doesn't matter what language your course is, you'd still need a proof of German to get admissionhuh

I'm considering a course taught in English( at least for the 1st year) but it seem they still require German?

Plus who knows any German School in Delta State?? Or is there another way I can learn?

Thanks for the anticipated clarification

Ya i don't mind dropping it off for you, will b in lagos this week. Pm me for details.

As for reference letter didn't submit any, didn't go through Skype interview I got a straight admission.

As for scholarships and double course or chances, I just got admitted, I still feel it's based on your motivation letter, transcript, certificates (documents submitted). I guess I will get to know more about scholarships in due time while studying at TUM. But what I can say is munich is expensive, inference drawn from my house hunt.

About what to send or upload the details are on their site.
Hi Vycta,

Thanks for the response. With your straight admission, I guess I have to ask you some more questions.
Sadly, I had to leave Lagos this morning to return to my base...but if I may ask, where are you at the moment?

About PM, I'm not sure I know so much about that,, I think only moderators have that privilege.
Instead, can you answer me via mail, I'd so much appreciate that.

Danke Bruder!

By Gods grace next week, trying to get an accommodation on or before arrival.

tried reaching you but with your exams and all...
Hi Vycta,

I am applying to TUM, winter session and will like to send my applications soon. So, if I may ask, when exactly are you likely to travel next week? Is it possible you help me drop off the document?

Also, since you're going to TUM, Id like to ask you and others who know about the school some questions:
1. I have just one hard copy reference letter now that I can use; others are addressed to other schools in the UK that I'm also applying to. What can I do about this? Plus I'm applying for both Power Engineering and Communications Engineering (same faculty). Is that even advisable at all? I love both courses sincerely, but if I'm to make a choice between both, it'd be difficult but I'd still choose Power.
SO....how many hard copy reference letter do I need? Is it possible to only upload them and not have to send hard copies?

2. How does one apply for the DAAD scholarship? I can't seem to find precise information anywhere (guess I'm looking at the wrong places or not searching well enough). Do you apply before the start of the programme, after you've secured the admission or when you've resumed?
I have a fairly good Bachelor's result and I'm really hoping to qualify.

Lastly, what are ,my chances of securing the admission, like what are the things they watch out for in the application? The aptitude test/ interview; what does it look like?

I'm sorry I have lengthy questions...please bear with me. I've read couple of pages on this thread but sincerely I still have these parts uncleared.

Right answers to these questions from any quarters will be saving a soul.

Danke Schon

Thanks Stenon for the response...

I guess I'd just start looking towards January.

But you still didn't answer the funding part...

That's where the issue lies for me most...

Plus, I think I'd just start the applications now so that I won't have to rush anything. But sincerely, I'd love if September can still work out.

Hi good people, Reading through this thread has cleared up a lot of grated areas for me and also revived the hope of a masters in Canada for me.

But guys, I need your serious help now and I'd be most grateful if anyone can provide me with important information.

OK... here it is:

I graduated from Elect /Elect with a cumulative GPAof a little above 81% though still ended up with a 2:1

I want to go for Masters in any top Canadian Uni. The issue is I NEED A SCHOLARSHIP TO REALIZE THIS DREAM. I am from a humble background and presently, I doubt if I can raise any fund to pay for the tuition.

So my question is.... Who knows any school that can give me scholarship even if I have to be a research assistant? I've tried some schools, mailed couple of professors but no response yet. Can anyone tell me a particular top school that is sure? Or any scholarship apart from being an RA?

My interest is either Power and Renewable Engineering or IT.

I really will like to resume this September. is that possible given that it's middle February already?

if given scholarship, will I still need a sponsor with SOA of over 4million?

You'd be saving a soul if you can help with this information.

Thanks to all the experienced folks in the house. Hoping for a response soon.

Thanks.
