This Edddiioot Drug Baron is responsible for that !!! floating it was inevitable but the steps taken after the float is the main issue here. Fuel smuggling too has resumed so all talks of Nigeria subsidising our neighbours being a thing of the past were temporary. |

lastmessenger: when you have first class in accounting people tend to assume that they know everything hence the sudden announcement that subsidy is gone accounting is just multidimensional counting of financial book metrics. It is like trusting a fufu pounder or melon peeler labourer - a simple, repetitive and mundane task - with assorted dish restaurant where fried rice, multiple sauces, african soups have to be cooked. Or trusting a storehouse manager with product design and development in a huge manufacturing industry. |

That's around $0.415 a litre and means it is now cheaper than when it sold for round $0.4 or N180 a litre. Most of our problem boil down to corruption, disregard for law enforcement, and weak naira. Same border that food cant be smuggled in through to make them cheap locally is where fuel goes out through. Fantastically corrupt nation. |

hisgrace090: He can only do it if he means well for this country but in the contrary he cares not as it affects him not. I cant imagine the north having the unique advantage of cocoa cultivation and a northerner as president then ignoring that sector. The man is just there for himself. Politics › Re: Tinubu Should Allow Food Importation Before Nigerians Perish Of Hunger by RepoMan007: 6:44pm On Jun 10, 2024 |
When the import restrictions are lifted and many willing importers of food flood the BDCs for forex to buy food, price of forex starts increasing and that will readjust the local equivalent of the imported food further. One problem with our policies and laws is halfhearted implementation. Lack of complementary policies too is another I.e conflicting policies. Policies that conflict with reality too abound. |
