Reference: It is important for women (girls) to go through a process of self development to avoid falling for animals like these. Get a vision, set high standards and you will meet your man in the process of pursuing it, a man who will appreciate your value and who you will be able to vett over an appreciable length of time . When I say longer courship some say it is unimportant, when I say seek God's face for guidance and grace in important (life) decisions, people say God is unimportant. So, get off social media and chat shops, get a skill, get busy, focus on the mind not the body and free your destiny. Very true talk. One should not be in a hurry and when you begin to have doubts, it's time to pull out . Am sure she saw several signs , but she chose to ignore them. Continue to rest in peace , pretty woman. |

So, who are we donating to? We donate freely to hospitals and they sell it to people in need. I don't understand. I always wonder too. |

nobleblood: Enough of all this bad thread already. How much must one do just to get a lousy minor job in this land.
I have spent half my entire life in school.. The other half and still spending to get a better degree..just to beat the line. Nigga please!
Ten ways.. This..ten ways ..that.
Strippers prostitutes don't need all this skill. I just want to earn a living that's all. Am no longer ambitious. Still you have to give me ten ways...fifteen ways that. How many of this will I master before my life is over. I go to church, my pastor gives me his own ten this. Ten that ...before breakthroughs will come.
Just do the basic. Give light, give roads. Give soft loans. And let people figure themselves out. Why do we always have to make life so complex. You said the truth. This country is a mess. Lets assume the job opportunities are available, that's the only way these ten ways rubbish can work out. I gave up a long time ago. I stopped applying. I dont even know what my cv looks like again sef. Being an enterpreneur sure beats this. |

I type this with so much heaviness in my heart. So, i started dating this wonderful guy and we were both perfect together. Ours was a definition of a perfect relationship. All was going on well between us till his dad said he can never allow him marry someone from my town because of something that happened in the past. We are both from the same state. He tried his best to convince and plead with him but he insisted. Even people pleaded on our behalf. We had to end it. Am depressed is an understatement.Finding it very difficult to move on. |
Travel › Re: Passport Of A Nigerian Confiscated By Employer In Oman by RGem(f): 7:27pm On Jun 23, 2017 |
SmartMugu: It's not about how developed a country is that matters to me personally. What I care about is acceptance wherever ure going. I have both US and Nigerian passports and can go anywhere in the world I want to go. But do I want to go everywhere, heck no. Certain places already will profile me because I'm black. They will further profile me because I have ties with Africa. Then they will further profile me because I have ties with Nigeria even though I live in the US. So why would I waste my time traveling to a place where I know I'm already hated because of my skin color? I'll pass on that one, I don't give a damn how rich their country is.
I recently rejected a job offer in Thailand after reading about how blacks are treated there, I'm black, I was born that way, that's my identity, plus I'm African too - that makes me a tripple minority to them, irrespective of my US and Nigerian citizenship.
The idea is simple, there are users everywhere. Why not hire their own citizen and pay them N50k equivalent per month? Why come all the way to Nigeria to find cheap labor? Yet take her passport away from her. Doesn't that mean slavery still exists? Isn't that the same mentality they had when they invaded several countries in Africa as slaves and developed their nations with the free labor our great grand parents were forced to do for them? Why didn't they enslave their own populace? Why come all the way to Africa, bribing tribal leaders with gin and gun powders and carting away slaves to their lands? Thank God we are more exposed now, and probably smarter than many countries that did that to our ancestors.
Probably cos I'm not desperate to leave where I am now and whatever I do, but I'd definitely give any firm that needs me to work in countries I don't feel comfortable with my conditions before leaving where I currently live.
I've passed that point in life where someone anywhere in the world would take my passports from me to further enslave me fot their personal benefit, rather I'll put them in their spots irrespective of my skin color. That comes with exposure and education. I have both, not many do and they are willing to settle for less - just in the case of the lady the topic is about. You really made sense! Do not settle for less. |
