Yes! But if you are unable to go yourself, you can send someone (preferably Scholar, but someone told me that non-scholar can also help to collect it). You will need to give authorization letter to the person.
In the authorization letter, state your name, PTDF ID, PTDF Ref number, and the name of the person you grant permission to collect your letters for you.
The bearer of the letter must go to PTDF office with his/her ID card.
Remember to sign the authorization letter.

I thought these letters were going to be uploaded online

Ok...sounds like a good idea even when I
am not sure I have a clue on how to do that (recently joined nairaland). As for my choice, I like to remain in my field (engineering) . I've always wanted to be in my field but the country never provided me with an opportunity. Like I said, thank you all for your inputs. I apologize to those that got hurt in the heat of the debate. God bless y'all.
Ricodine:

What's it with you guys' description of salaries as the only point you can make when comparing the two choices? Do you work in NIS or NSIWC that you're too sure of the remuneration package of the service? And really disgusting to say the least that you people are making your emphasis on salaries from what you read online randomlyundecided Next time, learn how to help someone seeking advice by giving them all they have to know or things they might have to carefully consider (full pros and cons) which requires your experience so that you don't further confuse their confusion. When you give complete information, that person will be able to weigh their options and make an informed decision. To me, you're favouring the side you have the knowledge of, thereby giving a biased view. By the way, @rhapboss, I will advise you like what somebody wrote here some time ago to create a topic about it and beg the moderators to help you push it to the front page so that the elders can help you. In all, this is your turning point, so talk to your GOD to lead you on in making the best decision. After all, the aim is to fulfill purpose and destiny!

Follow your heart man. The best NIS can offer is a meal ticket, your vision, goals and aspirations are much more important because you will be fulfilled at the end. You are academically inclined and highly favoured by the MOST HIGH, you have a great future ahead man.

Thank you for your input. I am the individual.

I'd still go for the documentation (ASI) till I'm ready to leave as proposed by some of the wise beings here.

tunnamaniah:
I'm sorry if my comment offends you bro, but that's my view, and that's the truth. I believe nobody with common sense will tell the nigga to go NIS. You can as well say I don't have common sense. I won't take an offense bro.

But I will speak the truth as it is without cutting corners, or caring about your feelings. The CGIS annual salary is less than 5 million naira. So I don't know what you people are talking about and I don't know what is wrong with you.

To the the individual in question; don't let the fear of the unknown limit you in life. Remain blessed boss and once again, I do not intend to offend anyone with my comment. I'm really sorry if you find this offensive.

Well said @ ibnbabes4ol... @ rhapboss, In addition to what he said (pardon me, if I sound somehow) My first question or advice is "has the person prayed about it".
Majorly scholarship abroad always have this clause of "returning back to home country immediately after the program" the person should check if there is this clause... I know one of my class mate ; the best graduating student in my class then had a scholarship in the UK, he has come back to Nigeria and we are hustling together now for all this jobs. At least we have met in like 3 job exams.
I personally would have advised that u go if it were to be a PhD scholarship. Although everything depends on God.

Green energy is the future. You are good to go. After your MSc in UK, you can proceed to USA if you want. In USA you can get full funding for PhD. There are more job opportunities in the USA than in UK. The pay in USA is far better than UK.

Yeah, the admin guys at the location where you are posted to after your documentation.

What course are you going there to study?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by rhapboss(m): 1:25am On Aug 14, 2021
If I get you correctly, get a boss to cover up my absence. Right?
RivuletStream lpost=104767357:

May be you don't get it. Your absence will not affect NIS job. When I mean cover for you, I mean someone that will ensure your job is not terminated while you are away.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by rhapboss(m): 12:44am On Aug 14, 2021
you mean someone can cover for one full year?
RivuletStream:

You will have to think carefully what to choose.

UK recently adjusted their immigration rules which now grant opportunity for international students who graduate from UK universities to stay and work for a period of 2 years. You can process your permanent residency (indefinite leave to remain) if you get hold of a job that pay minimum 30k British Pounds.

I don't know what you are going there to study, but have it mind that your chances to remain legally in the UK is predictated on your ability to get a job after graduation.

You can go ahead and do your documentation for the NIS job. After your documentation, try to socialize with people and find one or two persons that can cover for you when you are away in the UK. Your NIS salary will be entering and that cash can help you while you are schooling in UK. At the end you have the two in your hand. After your graduation, you will know what to do with your life in UK, whether to return or to stay.

Wow! You sound like a scholar, boss. Thank you for your input, sir.
Epistasis:

UK masters scholarship and NIS job are miles apart. Scholarship in the UK is a once in a lifetime opportunity, that person must take it up ASAP. I believe that fellow must be loaded academically, so getting a PhD scholarship in the UK, US or Canada won't be a problem. A masters scholarship in the UK any day, anytime.

If the awardee is ready to start a life in the UK, it should take that opportunity. It could get a part-time job while dealing with school and then carry on from there. There are undoubtedly better career opportunities over there than over here with a Master's Degree.
