I believe it gives an edge. so she did a certification called PBA-PMI and also did ACI (trading) certification couple of months before she started the program so she talked about the whole certification process during the interviews too.
But most graduate roles might not require having certifications because your typical consulting firms would train you and also pay for these certifications for you while on the job
Thanks for the reply. I’m hoping to get a few certifications before I round up. Thanks for the advice. It’s really encouraging.

Hi guys,
My husband works in another city and takes the train to work and he spends alot on that cos taking the bus is almost the same amount. We have tried to get a digital railcard but didn't see any one for his 30+ age category. Is there any other way to get a discount on train fare?
Have you tried the family and friends railcard?

Permit me to say a few around job search and a strategy when coming in to the Uk via your question maybe it may help a few peeps:-
My self and my wife we came to the Uk October 2020, My wife was a student while I was the dependent. I got a job almost immediately and starting working as a software engineer in a firm in Liverpool while my wife focused on her studies as we literally sold everything and planned to start a life here in the Uk. But we *had* a plan. Our plan was that by God’s grace I would get a sponsored job and because she also had experience as well, she would also finish her masters and also get a sponsored job kinda both of us having sponsorship running differently to avoid stories that touch. By the way my wife has about 5 years experience as a BA in treasury management mostly around a solution called calypso(one of the biggest around). Immediately she started school she started applying for graduate roles because they kinda offer jobs months/ even a year ahead with sponsorship before you even finish your program. We got lots of rejections, too many for that matter. Most times she would cry as I was always consoling her that they are the ones missing out as she would definitely get one.
As God may have it she got Accenture graduate role more inclined around project management. We were excited because at least we got the ball rolling as regards our big plans. 5 months after working in the firm in Liverpool I got an offer with sponsorship with another eCommerce firm in Leicester which required us is to relocate to Leicester, again the plan fell into place.
Wifey finally graduated in October with a distinction( as our money no fit waste ). Plans changed as I thought that she can actually get better in terms of job and pay. We started looking out for Calypso roles and to my surprise they are high in demand here in the Uk and the pay was great. Of course We we’re looking at sponsorship but we did not mind having one without sponsorship but with a better pay as she can go
Under me as a dependent but I had that believe that we can eat out cake and have it. We applied to FD and LSE as they had roles and pay structure was great! To our surprise we had interview slots. My o my the interview was a breeze as na my wife they teach the guys for the interview. FD gave her an offer as a senior BA after like a week and said they will sponsor her visa under mine and we were like should we take it, meanwhile LSE was in the pipeline and the interview was also a breeze off cause we stalled FD’s offer and waited for LSE it was a bit slow because it was via an agency and the agency was skeptical about sponsorship but the final manager that interviewed her was so impressed and pushed for sponsorship and eventually they gave her an offer!!! FD got back to her and she told FD that she has an offer now with LSE, and they said they will match the money and started talks about how they can strategise her into management in no time but come on LSE was just the height!
She is starting with LSE later this month and all our plans since we came to the Uk kicked in, it was all God and preparation and opportunity!
Why I am saying this! If you come in to the Uk in October or January start applying immediately, don’t wait till your masters is about rounding up before you apply, there are lots of graduate roles, I would reckon that more experienced roles would want you to start immediately and would not give you the buffer to start months ahead.
Lastly you can always yearn for more! Go for it! You have it in you! Hope this helps anyone
Thanks for the encouragement I will start looking immediately. I don’t have work experience relevant to the field though as I’m currently doing my master immediately after my Nysc. Whenever I see the job description asking for experience, I just don’t know how to spin it, even for graduate roles. In your opinion can getting some online certifications to back up your degree prove useful in securing the job

Please can someone advice me on how best to search for Project management jobs with T2 sponsorship. I’m currently searching while I’m trying to round off my masters. I just need to know what to search for and possible certificates needed. I’m hoping I can get a job at grad level in any industry as long as it’s project management role

All banks use Form A. Its not only for school fees. PTA, Medical bills, Mortgage etc. Probably banks streamline which they will offer because of FX shortages.
I think they do. I’ve been to access, stanbic and UBA. It’s only UBA that mentioned the FCY but it wasn’t local account. So I’m still trying to confirm from them. Which bank would you suggest?

Hi.

Congratulations.

1. You can use a form A to send the funds under 'upkeep' if in local currency. A direct transfer via an instruction if in FCY (Max limit is 10k USD daily)

2. Read up here : https://covid19.ncdc.gov.ng/nitpfaq/

3. Read up here : https://www.gov.uk/uk-border-control

4. If you wish to visit within 1 year. Also you cannot access PTA without a return ticket. Weigh your options.

I hope this helps.
Please which bank can one use to send the funds under upkeep. I’ve been going round for some days since last week trying to do this. I was told about FCY but later on they said it can’t be used. Please tell me a bank that this method still applies to

Please what are the requirements for studying a Bachelor's degree in Germany? Do I need to have a 100 level transcript or it's not important?

Hello great people., I need your advice . For applicant using dollar account to apply for visa & using the same account to fund dollar card to pay visa & ihs fees. Hope this will not amount to misrepresentation because bank statement bearing an amount would have been printed before submission of visa application form. After submission, the amount indicated on the bank statement would have been reduced & will not match what's on bank statement.
Does one need to explain this before submitting application or its not necessary since the acct balance is still more than pof.
So far the account balance is still more than the pof you have no issue

One UK visit visa refusal 2018 (Declared)

I am so happy. Finally it is my turn to celebrate. Please join me and celebrate with me.
All thanks to God who showed himself merciful and made all my fears groundless.
He literally made everything seamless and my fears about Oanda rising inordinately did not come to pass.

Kai! I was checking Oanda like 10 times per day. Instead of rising, the rate in Naira even decreased during the 28 days.

After 3 years of Canada waka, on 445 till the crs go up and refuse to go down lol. Ielts sef will expire next month. I don learn French sef, na to write Tef remain.
Several master applications to 4 universities in Canada ( and dey chop my application fee lol) no admission. Finally as the last school said No in April, my eye clear lol, I decided to face UK.
And UK don land.

Thank you to everyone on this space, some of who I emailed with one or two questions, everyone who supports us here one way or the other, everyone who posts and answers questions, I appreciate all of you .
We will all celebrate. For everyone waiting, I can't wait to celebrate with you all too.
Congrats

Hello Good morning people,
I wanted to know if this is an issue. After paying my tuition with remainder £50, I’m supposed to have 9257 in my account which I put in at the rate of 600 to a pound. When talking to the school rep just now she said I should have calculated at black market rate of 700. Oanda is currently 573 which means I have 27naira room for fluctuations. I want to know, if I apply for the visa will they say that the funds is not enough or by Oanda rate of that day it’s okay.

That is an automatic refusal for her. It’s clearly stated that you are allowed to use either your bank statement or your parent’s bank statement. You can not use that of your brother, sister, uncle, aunt, in-law and other extended family members.

With regards to proof of funds there are people who provide such services and fund your account for you at a token. You can chat me up privately if she is interested.
