My madam at the top, you are doing well o. Ayam loyal to your ministry.
Mcy56:
1. The first question is called averaging down.
* Go to page 5380, search for a post from jejebabaa with one small table.

* Page 3837, a post from fxuser ...... Breakeven wahala with percentage table.....do some calculations and come up with some figures on 1000units.

*Someone actually gave a comprehensive breakdown in figures but cant lay hands on it now. Anyone with such table should pls share again.

2. Second question is called averaging up. U can add to the stock when price is going up depending on the vital or insider info at your disposal.
Maths teachers should assist with calculations here. grin

Good evening family, please I want you to explain a concept to me.

For example, if I purchased 1000 units of a stock @10. Then the price dropped to #8. Like how many units do I need to buy more to benefit from the law of averaging?

2. If bought @10 and now price moved to #12. Is it advisable to add to such stock? Will the law of average still apply? And like how many units is to be bought more?

Apostle @seyisanya once touched it but not in detail.

Thanks in anticipation.

The oracle has spoken. I will work on that sir
RabbiDoracle:
Lots of assumptions in your attachment.

Stock Prices change and they do do wildly. Between January 2020 till Mid March 2020, prices declined by over 50% max. Between that mid March till date, prices have gained around 40% max. Very short period!

So you can get wiped very fast. And gain very fast.

If you are new to stock, just stick to maximum of 2 companies. If you want to invest on dividends, read about dividend yields. You mixed high dividend yield (DY) stocks with some low DY stocks.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by RichEstate(m): 11:59pm On Apr 29, 2020
How do you suggest I amend it sir. Surely there will be variance as share price won't remain same and dividend might go down. I'll appreciate if you can just help me fashion a better permutation.
ositadima1:
You are buying #10,000 worth of shares for each stock monthly, the problem is that the cost of these share will vary widely over the 5 years. You also assumed dividends to remain constant every year. Eg 10k may buy 100 shares this month, while the next it may buy as few as 30.

There is no telling what your portfolio will finally look like.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by RichEstate(m): 11:24pm On Apr 29, 2020
You are on point sir. I like your reasoning. I will make a spreadsheet. I only used an app to work on the compound interest first and see if it will be viable.

Of a truth, some of the stocks might disappoint especially as the world is looking for alternative for oil. I will work on it more as you suggested and embark on it on behalf of my little son.
CashDiMkpa:
A spread sheet may have made this clearer.

As a rule of thumb, a simple well thought out investment strategy followed to the letter is always valuable. But you need discipline to be able to shut other investment options that may come up during that period. You need discipline to ignore the sometimes wild price fluctuations. You need to place a value to those shares so that within that 5 years once price exceeds value you consider option of selling or holding on to your strategy. Also be aware that one or two of these stocks will disappoint in a bad way during the 5 years. Those are the simple facts of investing.

As an academic exercise it may be okay but i don't understand the calculations that's why i said s spread sheet may be better.

Also look at this strategy from the point of Holding Period Returns over 3 to 5 years.

Good advice sir
emmanuelewumi:
Eg if you are trading with N10 million and you were lucky to get a profit of N4 million, it is advisable to get the N4 million out of the market or your JIJO trading account and buy money market, bonds , real estate, or stocks with juicy dividend yield.

Don't make the mistake of increasing your trading capital to N14 million, if you must increase your trading capital to N14 million.

If 70% or more of your Networth is in a JIJO trading account, that is bankruptcy, ill health and disaster waiting to happen

Make sure you have N14 Million and above in other stable assets ie not the stock market.

I agree with you boss...that is what they call, mistaking movement for achievement.

I wasn't yet picking it. I was just following my mentor's words that 'before you move, seek counsel of people who know more than you but at the end of the day, make sure what you act on is your own personal conclusion after sifting the information...celebrate if you win, admit your mistake and forgive yourself if you lose'

I first asked so I won't be foolish. Thanks for your contribution.

That oando has appreciated in price in recent time doesn't make it a good stock for the fundamentalist. For the TA people, it is a different ball game.

Great people, having followed this thread for some time, reading and learning from the actors. I want to say thank you for the knowledge, information and devotion you have poured out on this platform.

I have the following concerns which I believe is too easy for you to help me solve.

1. I had CSCS account before the crash in 2008. I was naive and lost all my savings which made me abandoned it. Now, I'm not close to where I can find the documents. I'm not even sure if the broking firm is still in operation. Please how can I enter the market again?

2. While trying to solve the first question on my own, I downloaded an app called I-Invest. After funding it, it says I have to update my KYC before investing, which I did, but now almost a week, no confirmation of the KYC and unable to invest. What do you think I should do?

3. Is there any other app which is reliable to by shares as I'm not home now to visit a broker.

Thanks.

PoliticsRe: How I Was Maltreated In DSS Detention — Sowore by RichEstate(m): 10:54am On Sep 24, 2019
makewetalk2:
Yoruba! yoruba! one of the worst tribes to ever come from when the going is bad for you. see how they joined the northerners to embarass and belittle their own brother. they are torturing the man. do you think that they will accept you if you join them to smite your brother's neck? haha mumu. stay there day count wetin sowore do you. after sowore you are the next. Oodua Peoples Congress is like a secondary school boy scout's alumni club.
Fela had tribulations and they killed his mother. all the yoruba people sit down in their houses like cowards and continued partying. kudirat was killed, they kept on partying. abiola was killed the party continued. fela was killed the party never stop. funsho williams was killed they brought in a new DJ. bola ige was slaughtered they brought in new sound system, obasanjo was jailed, they called Shina Peters to sing more songs.

the yorubas hate Obasanjo and they argue that he did nothing for them. but the man was in prison for years and they abandoned him. if not for the fresh apple that was given to abacha, the yoruba people would have long forgotten obasanjo. the man is looking out for himself cos he knows his people. he gave them ota farm they said it was for his own good. instead of capitalizing on the opportunities, they sit down to be spoon fed. while the igbos cash in on their chances. obasanjo made sure that awolowo was not forgotten. he renamed the university of ife to immortalize Awolowo. the same obasanjo renamed lagos airport to immortalize a northerner murtala. he made buhari what he is today. gave him opportunities and made him a minister of petroleum. it was all obasanjo a man from the western tribe. today buhari and jagaban are trying to tarnish his legacy. obansajo called a northerner Atiku as his VP and this northerner started challenging him. he gave Atiku so much freedomprominence and power . the ungrateful northerner, atiku developed beef for the man who gave him bread. it was only last year that atiku decided to make peace with obasanjo because he wanted to be a president.
on the other hand, BUhari was president in 1983. he used a yoruba man called Idiagbon as his slave. today he is using another one as a slave. compare the treatment that obasanjo gave them to the treatment that Idiagbon and osinbanjo received and you will see the difference.

the igbos have a day they remember Ojukwu. they still mention his name and refer to him in most instances. have you heard any yoruba man mention Obafemi awolowo's name? is there a day to remember him? hahahahahaha I laugh

It took me years to verify the certainty of what my father used to say' "wherever a yoruba man drops his bag, there is his home".

the northerners have been killing the other tribes of the country for almost a century. the divide between these people are supposed to be religion but it transcends beyond that. the yoruba muslims thought that they would be safe in the north on account of their faith, but they equally get slaughtered whenever there is protest. nyamiri refers to all. still they align themselves with their killers.

yoruba people, sowore is your son and the way you treat him determines the way others treat you. he did not commit a crime. he is only an activist. do not dissociate yourself from him because he is in prison. if the man becomes president tomorrow, all these brown rotten teeth claiming that he does not represent yoruba people will jump out of their stink homes to sing his praise.
The story tellers in igbo land who passed false image of yoruba people to their generation after generation were clowns. Sowore is being attacked by the government because of numbskull kanu. You claimed that he was neglected, what did you do when kanu was arrested? When his house was raided, what did he do? He ran away like ojukwu. Was that not sign of being a coward?

What was the sense in letting millions of people die through your ego, hatred, personal gain, supremacy context with a colleague and poor decision making skill. I will ask you to read Achebe's account on biafra. And according to the deputy of Ojukwu, ojukwu's family were even playing with toys, drinking bournvita at home, while gun is being given to teenagers of poor igbos to fight for an unrealistic cause which the coward leader would later disguised like alamesigha and escaped. So whags heroic in what he did? Losing millions of people and yet not get what you started the war for was naivety and insane pride which igbos are known for.

Abeg park well and stop sowing seed of hatred in the nation through ill history that was passed to you by your forefathers.
PoliticsShould We Start Teaching Managing Fame 101 In School? by RichEstate(op): 4:53am On Jul 03, 2019
MANAGING FAME 101
...but who cursed Nigeria?!
How can a senator slapped someone?
A soldier threatened me in 2013 at army barrack near Isaac John Street, Ikeja because I asked him to join the ATM queue.

"I'll take you inside the barrack now and teach you a lesson, nobody would know your whereabout..." He even ordered me to leave the ATM and my friend, Segun Arowolo and other people on queue were begging him.

I was humiliated but the lion in me spoke out... "Sir, I'm using this same machine, you can do whatever thing you like to me but it won't be a bad idea if I become popular through you". He wanted to hit me but people held him back. I also reminded him that Femi Falana's (SAN) office was five minutes walk away. He started shouting "bloody civilian"

In 2007, a soldier slapped me at Costain because I demanded explanation why a police officer had to dent my boss' new car for no reason, with the club he was holding. That won't happen again anyway...i meant just that!

A senator slapped someone... Why?! Is he the best candidate Adamawa North could produce? What differentiate his behaviour from touts at Oshodi? Must we start teaching HOW TO MANAGE FAME in school before these money-miss-road leaders knew that a man in white garment must not be in close relationship with palm oil seller lest he got stained?

Look at the headlines in UK yesterday about the rape issue, calling pastor Biodun a GUCCI pastor...we are laughing stock and always in the news for all wrong reasons.

If we don't start demanding accountability and stop keeping mute on issues that could break the nation or tarnish our faith then we are on the wrong side of history. Asking people to be accountable would not make you less-Christian or less-Muslim.

Let us say no to acts that is keeping us in the mud. Let us move far away from the list of failed nation (where the name, Nigeria is sitting comfortably) and we can achieve that even without teaching management of fame in school.

PoliticsYou Have Been Given Much, Much Is Required From You. by RichEstate(op): 8:58am On May 30, 2019
O. R. D. E. R!
The Senate President hit his gavel on the table as he spoke to the microphone... O. R. D. E. R! Things were going out of hand. The mace needs to be respected. It was a joint session for the lawmakers but the worse was about to unfold, the opposition leader was at the verge of smashing the golden mace on the speaker who was sitting next to the Senate President. In the same vein, a loyalist of the Speaker had just punched the face of honourable representing Rivers state. The show of shame was live on air and the whole world could see that the house was not in order despite the call for order by the president of the Senate...surely, he was a culprit in the plot that birthed the brouhaha.

Two months ago, patriots performed one of their civic rights. People voted to elect those who they think would move Nigeria forward. Of a truth, we are still far from ideal electioneering process but no one could deny the progress we have made so far. Every nation has the challenge which president Obama called, 'two-steps-forward-one-step-backward' motion. But even to make those two steps forward successfully, the elected few need to be called to order. And we need to shout into the speaker at top of our voices... O. R. D. E. R!!!

Dear president, if you have been made president, please be the president. It is an embarrassment for the nation and impersonation of your position and yourself, if some faceless and useless idiots stand as cabal and ruling the nation on your behalf for selfish interests. You need to be in charge and take advice from intelligent people regardless their party affiliation, religion or the region they belong to; our national identity comes first. Apart from Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Delta and Rivers, I doubt if many foreigners know any other states in Nigerian. So why are we dividing ourselves or why does the presidency think opinion or call to service must be based on where you came from?

We live in a nation where a senator owns fleet of exotic cars worth hundreds of millions and in his constituency lives numerous people in abject poverty...we say to you, O. R. D. E. R! Of course, a man deserves good, quality life if he earns legitimately without stealing or enforcing a law that would skyrocket his earning and then claimed that meagre addition to civil servants salary would lead to inflation.

The EFCC and SARS are still harassing citizens. Electricity is still not available and mindless power holding company would not stop dispatching crazy bills to people and fuelling generator set is expensive. Leaders, you need to put Nigeria in order before we call you to order.

Don't you think it's crazy for a security man in dubai to be earning more than a professor? And a member of the Parliament who has never moved any motion raking in millions monthly aside the ones he would steal through his community projects undone...'chai!'
An ancient philosophy says, IF YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN MUCH, MUCH IS REQUIRED FROM YOU.

If nothing is required we could all have voted for a teenager, right?! But what is required is not a child's play and the territory you are to govern is not a kids' play area. There's so much to do. The education needs reform, (Canadian prison can boast of better infrastructure than our universities), producing graduates who can't use microsoft Excel: Citizens can't live without employing vigilante to protect them: The escalator at the arrival wing of our busiest airport is still functioning like world war 2 locomotive engine train: electricity is still a challenge. The roads are still death traps: I doubt it if the shaky Ogbese narrow bridge has been done. You need to task yourselves to deliver what we need. The cabal, political parties and those godfathers' vote alone were not enough to put you in those positions which means you should be answerable to the people.

Right thinking and quality decision making is demanded. No one will remember you for the political gimmick you played but good policies that you rolled out. As you assume offices, I challenge you to write your names in the hearts of the people, that is the only place where it could last forever. Mandela did it in South Africa, and became yardstick for leaders after him. You are not expected to fix everything in four years; block unnecessary spending, stop programs that can not really push people out of poverty, fix electricity, education, security. One step at a time...we will get to where we belong.

BusinessCommon Things I Was Not Taught In School. by RichEstate(op): 7:22am On Feb 09, 2019
COMMON THINGS I WAS NOT TAUGHT IN SCHOOL.
My 2 multimillionaire {in dollars} coaches taught me.

I spent five years in primary school, six years in secondary school, 1 year pre-ND, two years in ND, three years as direct entry student in University. Totalled SEVENTEEN YEARS OF MY LIFE! Yet, these common things were not taught. The only thing school teaches in my opinion is FORCE DISCIPLINE and FEAR. Here they are...

1. If your Facebook page is sharply different from your business Facebook page you are in obscurity.
2. If it takes you more than one sentence to explain what you do, that means you are not making money from the business and not popular.
3. You need a coaches to develop with you financial game plan. And to hold you accountable and he must be richer than you
4. Back up good ideas with high intensity actions until you get it done.
5. If you are dumb and poor it's fine at least the dumbness justifies the poverty. But when you have more than enough knowledge and smart but yet poor, then you're a waste to humanity. DON'T LET YOUR LEARNING LEADS TO KNOWLEDGE, LET IT LEAD TO ACTION.
6. Find out what poor people read but don't read it.
7. Take someone richer than you who made money legally for lunch and ask a lot of questions.
8. No matter how much you earn, save.
9. Income formula 60-10-10-10-10
Spend not more than 60% on expenditure. Give 10% away to charity or church, 10% ON ACTIVE INCOME GENERATING BUSINESS. 10% ON PASSIVE INCOME SUCH AS STOCKS, BONDS, TREASURY BILLS, ETC.
10% ON REAL ESTATE.
10. Don't forget rule number 8 and 9.
11. Don't keep your money at home, it won't grow and it can be stolen. Don't keep it in banks, they are smarter than you (except for fixed deposit). Keep your money in a. Real estate b. Business c. Passive investments.
12. Learn to wait. SUCCESS IS INNER IDEAS BACKED UP WITH CONSISTENT INTENSITY AND PATIENCE.
Nairaland GeneralI Know What I'm Doing! (monday Motivation) by RichEstate(op): 11:07am On Nov 12, 2018
I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!
My childhood friends would still remember this. There was a playground where we used to gather in the evening to play three-a-side football. We had many of the boys so skillful...well I wasn't but I knew how to intersect and defend my goal post.

One of us just decided to name himself "iku" which means death in Yoruba language. Till today, we never knew why he named himself such a frightening name. He was such a lovely player perhaps the most skillful and everyone always desire to have him in one's team.

Unfortunately for his teammates, he had one bad habit... holding the ball more than necessary! In other words, you could be in his team and your leg wouldn't touch the ball till one of the opponent player dispossessed him and score...and scoring means the end of the game.

The teammates would be shouting, "iku, pass the ball!" He would also shout back, "Mo mo nkan kii se" meaning, "I know what I'm doing" in native Ondo, Yoruba language. That moment, you would feel like killing him, as a matter of fact he did it one day and one hefty member of his team named "Akin Wogo" had predetermimed to kill him should"Iku" contribute to their defeat and immediately opponents snatched the ball from him to score, the bulky guy chased "iku" to his father's house and warned him not to walk in the street for two weeks if he didn't want to get paralyzed.

Colourful childhood isn't? Not the one kids have these days in front of computer games... sedentary lifestyle. "Iku" always claimed he knew what he was doing but did he know why he was doing what he was doing?! I doubt it.

WE HAVE MANY PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHY! DO YOU KNOW WHY YOU ARE DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING?

Knowing what you are doing means you're not operating by a series of accidents and it also means figuring out the right moves to make and make them on time, that's what will bring you that business, that job, that lady, that business partner and that one thing you are so afraid of but which you are so convinced will change your life forever.

Many of us wake up in the morning in pursuit of daily bread. We know what we are doing but we never bothered to ask why we labour so hard to do what we are doing. Chasing money without questioning oneself to ascertain why making a move is important.

I discussed in my book, "EXITING YOUR RAT RACE", how my chess coach always got furious whenever I made a move without asking WHY even if the move made sense to me. And may I tell you I moved pieces sometimes after I had thought of possible solutions without finding any especially when my cherished knights (horses) or queen are threatened. In similar way, humans act like that

LET YOUR WHY IMPACTS MANY LIVES
My wife chose me as her coach and in one of my sessions with her I asked, "Izzy, why do you want success?" She replied in a way that most people would reply, " I want to be successful because of my husband, kids, my two mums (referring to her mum and mine), and my dad."
I said to her, "that was beautiful and makes you responsible but don't you think that is too narrow for you to desire financial freedom?" Taking care of those people is part of your duty because they had done the same for you when you were young maybe or maybe not.

Then I presented a bigger picture: wouldn't it be more rewarding to desire success because you want to feed one thousand families in your nation by paying members of those families salaries? Isn't it more fulfilling if you want success because you want to feed the poor in your locality, in your church? Paying school fees for orphans? Paying hospital bills of the old? Running for politial office to transform the nation? Those are more worthy WHY to desire success. That is only when what you are doing and why you are doing it make sense; how you are doing it must be legal by the way.

Begin to have a big picture of healing the world through what you offer because it is more rewarding financially and in satisfaction of your soul. And your little WHY will be fixed such as providing luxury for your family. Many of us envy the artists for instance, when they buy expensive things for themselves or loved ones. But we have forgotten that they constructively create beats that sent millions of people to the dance floor. So they deserve the reward of what money can buy. Be part of the world's positive evolution, it should be the reason why you are doing what you are doing.

Cheers to your success!

PoliticsPolitical Thugs, When Will There Be Independence? by RichEstate(op): 1:07pm On Oct 01, 2018
When will there be independence in Nigeria? Yes, there was transfer of power to people who thereafter refused to transfer the dividend to the people. They only made a formation for their kids that were yet to be born that time. One of those spoilt kids today is the senate president who forced himself on the nation and his party. No one can blame him much, that's the belief he grew up with that he could get anything done, whether it's right or wrong. That's the beginning of the political thuggery in a nation sewn together by the British because of what was in it for them.

Then there's another arm of thugs, those who rose from nowhere and were helped one way or the other like the biblical blind Bartholomew to have a glimpse of corridor of power. They got there and started being god. Tinubu is in that class. Now he owns Lagos and who to lead it in his own way. Another set of thugs surround the Lagos godfather and we pray that their show of shame won't lead to bloodbath tomorrow at the APC Lagos primaries. But seriously, when will there be independence for the people?

If we count the number of independent people who are dependent on parents after schooling, it would be in millions. And that reflects what United Nations said that 83 million Nigerians are extremely poor. I think they are so generous with those figures because I feel it is way more than that. So to our political thugs, self imposed political godfathers, when will dependent adults be independent in their own independent nation? When will there be close gap between the haves and the have nots? When will people elect their own people without any imposition? When will you get brain in the senate that closing the chambers affect the masses more than it affects people in Aso Rock? When you say you love people you are governing, what exactly do you mean? Does your own meaning correspond with the definition of the governed?

Every Nigerian wants success and comfortable life. Yes, individual needs to strive, but the environment needs to be fixed by the government but nothing can be fixed at high pace if some people feel their bidding should be done at the detriment of the masses. Nigeria is moving forward but at a snail pace and that made it look like a Barbers chair...lot of movement in one cycle. We can't continue that way. Can you all hands off and let us have a free nation! Before you are disgraced out of politics like Saraki did to his dad.

Dear citizens, we need to stop asking for 'our daily bread' from politicians. Let's demand future and the foundation starts now. Do not fold your arms and sit on the fence. The nation needs everyone to be on the same page and face the bully of our progress. They have been using the biblical pool of Bethesda approach (help one and ditch others). They need to help all of us at the same time by allowing leaders to provide infrastructures, good roads, rail system, electricity, good housing scheme at affordable rate, standard airports, befitting seaports and regulations, good and compulsory education, clean environment and a nation where everyone obeys rules.

Nigeria will be great during my lifetime and yours. The success, growth and development of the nation will reflect in our businesses, homes, salaries, children, health. Happy independence to a great nation and toast to a greater nation we are trying to build.

CareerDon't Be Excuse Manufacturer Of The Year by RichEstate(op): 9:38am On Jul 17, 2018
..OK! OK!! TRIP CANCELLED!!!
Like a chicken tied for several days and later freed, their slavery mindset never changed...the blame game never changed. They had excellent leadership in Moses...they also had supernatural power backing them; God Himself or 'expo' as JAMB special centre students would see it because they needn't think about anything. He was their master planner and Moses was available to guide their movement, yet obeying instructions was too much of a work for them. The Israelites were chronic complainants like many people, not knowing that their destiny had been handed over to them.

Moses, why, why, why? 'You should have left us in that comfortable land. Just like we normally say in Nigeria that yesteryears of our national existence were better than now. That is simply called a 'mental blockage'. Those reasonings will never spring out action to make change...to move forward...if at all we move, forty days could become forty years.

Imagine your dad telling you to get prepared for tomorrow because there's cash of one million naira waiting for you at Oshodi and you started complaining;
'Oh my! Why didn't you inform me earlier than this?'
'I mean, I've got no shoes!'
'I need better clothing for the trip, it's too late to go get one'.
'weather forecast states it would rain and trekking that distance would be unimaginable' bla...bla...bla.
Your father who at that juncture might have become impatient and would likely say angrily, 'Ok! Ok! My son, trip cancelled! Anyway, a singer sang, 'Thank God say man no be God o' but the whining, bitter and serial complaints could well explain why forty days turned to forty years for the Israelites and God needn't necessarily had anything to do with the elongation of days...their mental blockage changed their timing.

To be honest, some people deserve accolades or world cup trophy for being 'EXCUSE MANUFACTURERS OF THE YEAR'. Achieving results 'On time' become taboo for them. I deliberately inserted the phrase 'on time' to support the fact that a stammerer would at the end of the day pronounce the word, *perpendicular* if timing is not involved. Unfortunately, time is yardstick and things achieved in its time is always considered to be beautiful.
your complaints about everything: the time, the government, tax, economy, your spouse, etc. *Mental blockage is a big disease...get rid of it,* *but* *on* *time* .
To your success.

LET'S BECAREFUL
Everyday at Ikoyi registry, many people get married. I don't think anyone among them ever tell the registrar that they would soon get divorced.

If we find out, some wouldn't have left the reception before things would begin to fall apart. Divorce does not start in a day. It occurs as a result of tolerance that suddenly got to the brim. 'I can't take this anymore' -anyone could say that, even a pastor.

Little somethings that are not well addressed thoroughly will lead to *LET'S BECAREFUL

It is beyond one sentence prayer, ( *it-will-not-happen-to-me-in-Jesus'-name)* . Be on a rescue mission everyday to make things work.

Solve your problems together, do not utter careless words that will ruin your home as many women do. Do not envy your spouse's achievement. Weather the storm together.

SportsRe: Mikel Obi Says He's Surprised The Referee Refused To Award Them A Penalty by RichEstate(m): 7:16pm On Jun 27, 2018
Ohislee:
One question for Mikel and other well meaning Nigerians, if Ighalo has scored the goal after the hand ball would we still have demanded for a penaltyhuh?
if he had scored, don't be surprised that the ref would then point to the penalty spot with the hope that we would lose it.
CareerBecoming Valuable In The Market Place by RichEstate(op): 4:07pm On May 02, 2018
BECOMING VALUABLE IN THE MARKET PLACE
Every human being created is valuable in the sight of the Maker. He values us and that is why the thoughts He has towards us are of good and not of evil, so we will have expected end which He imagined prior our creation. We share in that attribute of God that is why when we create something, we always like to protect such inventions because they are valuable in our sights.

As we look into the society, communities, nations, there are many people who are valuable. Valuable in the sight of God; valuable in the community and respected sometime because of their age, wealth of knowledge and at times for being custodian of such community's rich history; valuable in the place of worship; valuable in the family and among friends. The role they play can never be over-emphasised; many a time, you might not feel their importance until they are no more playing such important role.

It is like withdrawing Messi from Barcelona's midfield; withdrawing Fela, Gani Fawehinmi, Martin Luther, Mandela from freedom struggle. It is an energy sapping substitution and everything becomes ordinary. Brazilians would explain better as most valuable player was withdrawn against Nigeria at Atlanta '96. The great Ojukwu's withdrawal from Biafra could also serve as a great example.

All the above is to emphasise how important and valuable people could become in the society. Now, let's narrow it down to you: HOW VALUABLE ARE YOU IN THE MARKET PLACE? If I may ask you, IS IT POSSIBLE TO BECOME THREE TIMES AS VALUABLE, MORE THAN YOU ARE NOW AND EARN THREE TIMES MORE THAN YOU MAKE NOW? A.b.s.o.l.u.t.e.l.y! Start with personal development.

Jim Rohn said, "I've come to learn that income does not far exceed personal development. Of course, sometimes income take a lucky jump, but unless you develop, it would soon go back to where you were"

Dear reader, the best way to be valuable in the market place is to add value to the market (people) and evolve consistently through personal development. Get formal and informal education. Now, you and I know that, BECOMING VALUABLE IN THE MARKET IS BEYOND MILLION LIKES WE GET ON SOCIAL MEDIA. yes, it's a great marketing tool but it makes little or no sense if million likes can not be yield cash.

Jot down notes and lyrics of songs which strike your mind, read books, LISTEN TO STORIES OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE FAILED, listen to stories of people who struggled to succeed. "To have more, you need to become more" said Earl Shoaff. He also said "work on yourself than you work on your job".

TO RECAP
* change from inside
* get serious (be consistent.)
* Don't be lazy in learning and reading. it is beginning of wealth to be hardworking.
* Be smart and discipline. (A week of neglect could cost you a year of repair)
* Break your bad habit consistently
* Get into your future and get better
* Learn communication, marketing and selling.
* Do not be in haste but move quickly towards getting meaningful things done.

Put everything you've got into everything you do to become valuable in the market place.

You will succeed!

Jobs/VacanciesPresent Yourself In Figure, Not In English by RichEstate(op): 7:50am On Apr 20, 2018
After the first phase of interview, we were shortlisted to just six. Everyone was at best in dress, expectations and presentations with smooth and well polished english except for the only polytechnic graduate amidst us. His Oshogbo accent flawed his introduction and general presentation. And naturally in such standard interviews, you begin to compete with others in your heart and started applying elimination method as to who could really made you lose out.

The lady to my left graduated from my home town, Obafemi Awolowo University, ile-ife. The gentle guy to my right finished from Achievers' university; I am a product of a 21st century university as it's properly called, Adekunle Ajasin University...of course, I was not a push over for any of them, not even the one that said he finished from Coventry university in London nor brainy Lemuel from Covenant university, whom I served with at the ministry of finance in Calabar a year earlier.

As I was just unknotting my British-styled tie when I got home, I received a customised message. Alas! It was a "sorry letter". I flashed back and remembered in detail how I brilliantly performed...even the interviewers were nodding in affirmation to how I said I would add to the organisation, help reduce their cost, enhance its brand and increase productivity... Buddy! Well, life goes on and i needn't be a cry-cry baby...it's part of the world's set up.

Few years later, I saw the polytechnic fellow at Osborne in Ikoyi with the company's crest on his suit lapel. "How are you friend?" I greeted and introduced myself. Amazed, I asked him if he had godfather to have gotten the job. He said it was God but I told him to save that lyrics because Lemuel's dad happened to be a pastor "to shaprapra". He laughed and we agreed to give the glory to God but should share what he did that we did not do at the interview. He said he wondered too and his curiosity prompted him to ask how he was chosen ahead of others from better schools. Adejare said he got a surprised reply... "OTHERS WERE SPEAKING ENGLISH BUT YOUR CV WAS FULL OF BELIEVABLE FIGURES and that was why you were invited in the first place and on the interview day, THEY WERE SPEAKING FLUENT ENGLISH WHILE YOU WERE COMMUNICATING FLUENT, BELIEVABLE AND ACHIEVABLE FIGURES... and for our boss who had accounting background... that was it!

If you are seeking employment or already working in a corporate environment, you look more credible if you have facts and figures on your CV or presentations rather than honourable Patrick's grammatical prowess or pastor Oyakhilome's polished English...it's necessary but not important as figure presentation...especially these days that employers believe all youths are copying CV template from the Internet.

" Working with RichEstate investment in the last 18 months has been so rewarding. Our sales volume rose from 61% to 89%...that is whooping 48%. And that achievement earned each of us additional income of 4% as bonus". The figures made it believable and people believe you know what you are saying.

THE BOTTOM LINE
Even if your audience do not fully understand what you're trying to say, you would look credible to them and would like to trust you in as much as you do not garnish your figures with lies.

Be smart!
