How much are they paying?

And what's qualificationdate for GTCO?

Thanks.

Tell your uncle to spread 2M on 4 dividend paying stocks in Nigeria such as zenith, Fidelity, Ucap and Dangote or presco.

Another 2M on S and P500

Remaining 1M on government bond.

Tell him to focus more on the source of the 5M in order to get more.

You can't travel to a better country with 5M. Though, Saudi Arabia can be option.

Drella:
That's less than 3k USD.
Except he's heading towards an African country, he should shelve the idea of japa.

With the influx of questions like this, I strongly believe people underestimate the cost of japa.
When they tell you people sell houses, land, valuable properties just to japa, do you think it's a fable?

As for the allegations. It looks like they hold something against Agbaje as a person. These boys know each other and they are factions. Most of the things said might be true though.

Please enlighten us.

jonnysessy:
I think we should start looking at the recent allegations against GTCO. Why make so much and you pay very little. I used to have the misconception that CBN restrict their payment of dividend. Were CBN asleep when small UBA declared N2, while GTCO only N1 for interim dividend.

You're the best. Thanksas always.

yMcy56:
Its to capitalize unissued shares to increase OS (Outstanding Shares) and working Capital.

I've discussed extensively about VFDGROUP here in the past together with one or two Nsempas that contributed that time.

1. Total outstanding shares (OS) presently is 253,369,820 (in millions)
2. There's now a plan to increase this to N1.263bn+ by capitalizing unissued shares worth N506M to ordinary shares of 50k each
3. If you divide this sum by 50k nominal value, you'll get the number of bonus shares arrived at......for distribution to shareholders.
4. IN SUMMARY: VFD is distributing 1,013,479,280 unissued shares to shareholders who owns 253,369,920 existing shares........
** This brings it to 4 new shares for every existing one held........AND, the new shares will rank in pari passu with existing shares.

** Quite a number of Companies issued bonus in 2022 FYE as well......so nothing new here...... Except that VFD's bonus is so juicy. If you still have it, then HOLD!
** Qualification Date is 14th June, 2024
** Hope I answered you in my own little way.

I'll rather join a registered cooperative. Some of them loan members X3 of amount saved at 5% to 8% rate but you must have joined 6 months prior to taking loan.

Yes, bank loan is easier but paying so much in interest can hinder generating wealth and gives almost no room for trial and error. Some people are good at OPM like Robert Kiyosaki, Pa Emma etc.

Zagee:
Borrow what you can pay if things go south. I got a sum with 18% interest rate from GTB spread at 12months, 2022 November into the market. I am happy today!
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by RichEstate(m): 12:01pm On Feb 16, 2024
I share your view but it depends on risk tolerance and money management skill and bit of luck not to borrow against a rapid falling knife.

Another thing to do is IF you have trusted people abroad, take part in their thrift (esusu/ajo), lobby for early slot. You won't need to bother about interest but you must have stable income so that you won't disrupt the flow and make enemies for yourself.

I prefer it to taking loans and I've been doing it for 10 years. Try it with your trusted friends or you can start one but people must trust you.

Let's start from, who is Duke of Shomolu?

He said Bayo Onanuga knows nothing about NGX, I strongly disagree.

After criticising the market, he now praises the handlers in paragraph 20 for being professionals. That's contradiction.

I agree there's disconnect between the economy and market but I've explained previously. When you pour oil on your head, it won't reach your toe same day. *it won't even reach it at all if your positioning is wrong e.g kneeling down. Positioning is important in life. Osimhen won't lay the pass for the oncoming player who scored Nigeria's first goal if the scorer was not well positioned. Word of God confirmed this that there'll always be poor in the land* And my advise is, DON'T LET THAT BE YOU! POSITION YOURSELF.

Recovery of economy takes time but the writer refused to understand that. Covid happened and economy of the world collapsed. Most Markets bounced back in 6 months but 4 years after, most economies have not fully recovered. It shows markets will be the first reactor before economy recovers.

Lastly, he said market will turn read in March of course every player in the market knew that after results are released and there's markdowns, there's usually fall in price, and followed by profit taking and portfolio rebalancing.

Anyway, I might be wrong too. I don't know much neither. I'm neither spokesperson for APC.

One girl used to press my mumu button with fish fish cake biscuits (blue pack) around 2007.

When we discuss economy, my friends always feel bad that I don't criticise government with them. Why should I focus my energy on that while I can use back door (NGX) to get back what the economy is taking from me when I buy in supermarkets etc.

And if market slooooowwwwws down, we have gurus to point us to where we can shift to. With my night school economics analysis and readings government policies so far will continue to favour the market. Me I don't know anything o but I'm convinced on that.

ositadima1:
I think I have mentioned before that we are going to see bigger revenue, especially for essential products making companies, which may translate into higher profits. It is not hard to see when you go out to buy provisions and supplies - you should have noticed by now that most prices have gone up. In some cases prices have doubled, while in other cases companies have reduced the content. Look at my favorite biscuit from years past - the fish biscuit (50 naira per pack). It is now half its original size. angry angry embarassed embarassed

When some people come here and tell me stock prices will fall, as usual I get seriously confused. Is it not the same market that they and I enter to buy things, or are they shopping somewhere with discounted prices? Ok nah. undecided
