BusinessBe Different by RichEstate(op): 8:28am On Mar 27, 2018
Within twenty minutes, we spotted four different buildings with similar names..."Drugrite...Justrite...Boutiquerite and finally we arrived at Shoprite. That was how "NEXT" salon filled everywhere in Lagos, even Alfa Quadri's Barbers shop named 'No food for lazy man barbing salon' was renamed as 'NEXT'. But one of my friends could attribute his baldness to Alfa's fake NEXT salon. I am quite sure there would be more 'RITE' should we search the city of Lagos thoroughly.

Is that the new Law in the business environment? If name imitation could do the magic, why did we drive past; Boutiquerite, Drugrite, Justrite and headed all the way to Shoprite? Dear reader...BE DIFFERENT! Copy from people intelligently if at all you have to.

Kunle Sorinyan, a motivational speaker was questioning the youths at a gathering that, why was it that pastor Adeboye's 'let somebody shout hallelujah' is more copied than his genius attribute of turning thick forest into a city along Ibadan expressway? Pathetic!

As a class teacher, what would you do to a student who copied his class-mate and went a step further to copy the person's name...he has failed right? And so is every brand that stoop so Low to the extent of duplicating a selling brand name. Stand alone to be known. It is always difficult to be recognised when you are playing a second fiddle or in the middle of a crowd. While connecting with crowd is necessary for growth, getting lost in the crowd is what you should avoid completely.

As a suggestion, before you settle for the 'RITE' series:

CONNECT IDEA TO IDEAS
Think of your own concept. Which business are you establishing, in which industry? Connect those ideas of yours with other people's ideas. But in the end, make sure your brand name reflects your personal philosophy and is suggestive enough to push sales for you.

CONNECT PEOPLE TO IDEAS
As part of your innovative and concept adoption moves, connect people to the ideas you have. There are two categories of people you need to connect your ideas with; the people that will work with your idea to bring the brand name to life and to spotlight and on the other hand, the people that will patronise the idea.

ADOPT THE MODE OF OPERATION WITH FLEXIBILITY AND NOT THE NAME
It is not totally bad to copy mode of operation of a working brand with flexibility and determination to surpass such brand. Do not copy a business name in your neighbourhood which is doing better than you.

Soonest, your brand will be in every home as Dangote's brand is in almost every household in Africa. ...Let your brand stand out!

LiteratureShe's My Baby!!! Yes, We Know!!! by RichEstate(op): 5:53am On Sep 11, 2017
SHE'S MY BABY!!! YES, WE KNOW!!!
Oshodi was always a drama centre when my mum was selling there...no, not in a shop...by the road side. It coloured my entrepreneurship journey and made me street-wise. You can't rule out the drama that accompanied each day. It was a setting of unlettered women selling by the road side to support their husbands financially in order to help their kids through their tertiary education. That time, I was in school with two of my siblings. When my mum woke you at five in the morning...congratulation buddy! You have just won yourself a free ticket to see "ere-ori-itage" (stage drama).

If there's a 'customer', my mother would snatch my James Hadley Chase book and asked me to remove my hands from my pocket and convince the customer to buy her goods. She had to remind us always that we were not "butty" (affluent) and should stop behaving as one...but I can't let a course mate see me again after Simbi had seen me...but she couldn't tell anyone in class because I had once seen her too buying used clothes at gatankowa market. So it's 50-50.

This particular Saturday was drama filled. "Area boys" had come to collect their usual money. They asked, "owo bukky da?" I was rebuking the devil tempting me to ask who bukky was because, if the huge guy with black lips and red eyes like hot charcoal in my grand dad's cherished local iron that burnt my "ileya" cloth and primary school uniform when I tried to iron them myself should hit me, "walahi" hospital would reject me.

My sister observed that I was going to be in trouble, she quickly gave them three hundred naira but she was too afraid to ask for fifty naira change. After they had left, she told me they meant booking fee, "owo booking". That was just a build up to the dramatic day...

A beautiful lady was pricing "Dustin powder" from "iya oyinbo" (the name she got after giving birth to albino two years earlier)...phew! The little girl she was backing just slipped and fell.
From nowhere, iya Ogbomoso just surfaced. Her face was a replica of Gbenga Adeboye's friend who fought lion in one of his comedy album.

My brother was of the opinion that the person who made her tribal mark though was wicked but had a good handwriting because the lines were well drawn and neatly arranged. For me, the person should be on terrorist list, because eleven lines on each cheek was act of terrorism.

The lady was trying to pick her daughter but iya Ogbomoso stopped her. "She's my baby!" "Yes, we know!!!" The women replied. "If you're careless enough to let your baby slip from your back, you must face the consequences and what the situation demands to save your baby" iya Ogbomoso said.

"Naked yourself, start dancing round the baby seven times or else there would be problem for her when she gets married...she would be losing her husbands" the crowd started giving different versions of their beliefs. "I don't believe this! The beautiful lady managed to say as she cried. "It has nothing to do with your belief, 'alakowe'" said iya oyinbo.

The omo ibos, (as they call the Igbos in the area) started encouraging the lady to go nude, not because they believed in the superstition but because they wanted to see movie you can't see on AIT.

Dear friend, things get complicated when we refuse to cater for and guard jealously our brain-child. Some things we do kill our babies at conception or tender age. 'Its your baby! Yes, we know!'
You've got to birth the idea and nurture it. Don't mind the deafening and direction-less noise of the crowd. You've got to do what you need to do to save your brain-child. Follow the necessary steps...

*Think deeply and conceive the baby.

*Like a great mother, put things in place before the birth.

*The place of birth is not so important if you have vision and purpose. Remember that Jesus was birthed in a manger but He's world brand today. Henry Ford birthed and nurtured his brainchild at his father's garage. Facebook was abnormal baby when it was birthed in a college.

*Nurture your newborn. Get a good mentor to wash your baby thoroughly to avoid body odour in future.

*Guard it jealously from abnormal growth.

...just like twins, raising them is challenging but when they grow, you can point from afar to any of them and say to anyone with pride..."that's my baby!"

PoliticsQuestion For Fayose, Ffk And The Acting President by RichEstate(op): 11:56pm On Aug 18, 2017
I was on my way home from school when I saw a boy raining curse on a boy of his age but well built. People around were trying to prevent him from advancing toward the calm boy, but he was blinded by his anger and he threw punches at the two older people trying to restrain him. About half of the gathering shouted, 'let him go'. Simultaneously, the people holding him released his arms and off he went towards the well composed opponent...You want to know what happened to him?
He was flattened by few punches that landed on his jaw...
I think Nnamdi Kanu is fast approaching that stage but I have no message for him before his sympathisers starts asking what concerns Yoruba with Biafra. I will rather ask our man with presidential ambition a simple question: PRESIDENT FAYOSE, A MAN CALLED NNAMDI KANU CONSTITUTED BIAFRA SECRET SERVICE WITHIN THE TERRITORY YOU ARE GOVERNING, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

In my opinion, Femi Fani-Kayode is more intelligent and more strategic than Fayose and should have a good answer: Dear sir, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE IF YOU WERE THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ODUDUWA YOU WERE AGITATING FOR?

TO THE ACTING PRESIDENT
Dear leader, when many Nigerians are at the brink of taking your party to abattoir to be sluttered, you are one of, if not the only one we look up-to to wave the magic wand.
As a Senior Advocate, what would you call what Kanu, who was seven months old in his mother's womb when biafra war started in 1967, just did?
Becoming a doormat is not a sign of humility, it is a sign of weakness.
It is the day referendum is conducted that Kanu will know he has been betrayed.
Just like the boy in the story was released, I wish Kanu is released to be given a sucker punch at referendum. No igbo wants him as leader. He lacks the qualities, only stubbornness like the one that killed Pharaoh.

Nairaland GeneralUn-progressive Equation by RichEstate(op): 5:16pm On May 29, 2017
"Our journey as a nation has never been easy, it has always been TWO STEPS FORWARD, ONE STEP BACKWARD"
Those were the words of the 44th president of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama in his last address to the nation as president.

Democracy in any country has never been easy. It's full of ups and downs, political drama, sabotage, imbalance equation between the few positive minded and numerous negative minded people majorly influenced by the rich, powerful, selfish, score-settling individuals to jeopardize the progress. When their plans work out, then Barack Obama words would read as ONE STEP FORWARD, TWO STEPS BACKWARD.

Mathematically, that is one minus two. We don't need to look for a professor to provide answer to this. A smart nursery school kid would tell you it's MINUS ONE. Still getting out of the mud.
Nigeria what are you doing?! What is wrong with being black?! Why are we still where we were?! Do our problems defiled positive solution?!

'If our party had been in power, things would have been better'... dear politicians and political bloggers, don't feed us that nonsense. The same government was in power at the federal and cross river state yet TINAPA failed to work.

Having been to the Dubai Mall and Tinapa dozens of time, the only major thing which separates them is that there's traffic of human beings in the former while the latter has traffic of toads making irritating sound.

In this present world, a country that will compete favourably ought to have uninterrupted power supply and her poorest citizens living far above miserable one dollar the world powers are measuring us with.

Until we fix those things that are urgent and important for our existence, the negative equation will continue its consistent ugly run.
We do not really need to suggest so many solutions to our problems because the solutions are begging the questions. All that is needed is COMMITMENT, PLEDGE, and LOVE FOR THE NATION CALLED NIGERIA.

God bless our nation and good leaders who have masses interest at heart and ACT.

Nairaland GeneralXenophobia: Against The Spirit That Unite Us by RichEstate(op): 7:27am On Mar 04, 2017
When we cannot comprehend our systemic failure anymore, it is easy to brand other people enemies of our progress. That is the new low in South Africa and they have made me look up word I have never looked up in the dictionary, xenophobia- the irrational fear of foreigners or strangers.
About two decades ago, every black person was good to the South Africa because every country on the continent stood firm for them eventhough those countries needed the resources they expended for their own development. Even unkind Abacha was kind to them.
The poem, Nightfall in Soweto was inspiring as Africans fought through apartheid even Nigerians elite fought it more than fighting the tyrants in Aso Rock at the time. But how on earth would the murderers' hands lurking in the shadows, clasping the daggers to strike down the helpless victims be those of apartheid kids saved few decades ago by those they now branded enemies? Now we are the prey, your fellow black men!
Mandiba the great came out of prison after twenty-seven horrible years and became president. He showed the world how to live by visiting the tomb of his jailer and discouraging the whites from leaving the land. Desmond Tutu was never wrong when he said, Nelson your people have failed you!
Nearly all government in Africa have failed. You lack direction and now the black race suffer for your vision-less leadership. Libya is no place to live for a fellow African and now South Africa. We do not have to lose our heads as a strategy to eject criminal, it only requires working policies to put excesses of indigenes and foreigners under check but our leaders cannot think to formulate policies that will make us prosper in our own land (except there's something in it for them), let alone foreigners without breaking laws.
Fellow Africans, if our heads have lost their heads and are not helping our situations, we should not lose ours by killing one another. Live according to the law of your host country as a foreigner: remember that earning little legitimately is far better than amassing wealth illegally, it is unjust to everyone in the land. Your ill actions affect everyone holding the passport of your nation.
May our leaders receive mindset, strength and understanding to lead us right. May the spirit of love, oneness and fairness regardless ethnicity and religious differences rest on us. God bless Africans!

I don't know the yard stick used in arriving at that but I want to strongly disagree with the list.
I interact on daily basis with Kenyans, Ethiopians, Ugandans, Ghanaians, Cameroonians, south Africans, Zimbabweans and of course Nigerians. All graduates of their different countries.
1. You can hardly understand what an Ugandan is saying because of their heavy accent.
2. Cameroon understandably is French speaking nation but those who speak English among do better than Uganda graduates
3. Ethiopians are not bad only that they have this kind of Hausa accent and therefore tend to pronounce words wrongly
4. Ghanaians speak good English, they are not forming only that they like competing with Nigeria but South Africa is better than them.
5. I still feel Zimbabwe speaks fluent, clear English than south Africa
6. Kenyans are a little better than Ghanaians
7. Nigeria has the best accent when it comes to speaking English. We like forming but Europeans and Americans feel comfortable when we speak compared to the aforementioned.

My list
Nigeria
Zimbabwe
South Africa
Kenya
Ghana
Ethiopia
Cameroon

BUHARI AND THE LEGISLATORS MUST DANCE NAKED IN THE PUBLIC;"The Criminality of the Constitution that Allows Legislators to Earn so Much out of an Economy Wallowing in Penury"

Nigerians are not interested in your naked body, but are interested in how transparent and selfless your service will be after the exercise under the scorching sun at the polling booths favoured all the legislators. A cogent question to be asked is; Why is the salary and allowances of the lawmakers are so much at variance to the GDP ( Gross Domestic Product) of the nation, as some workers are not paid or less paid? The absentia of working social amenities and enjoyment of fat and seemingly illegal salaries and allowances by lawmakers are spotted as loopholes in the Nigerian way of leadership which is back tracking the development of the country, and these are the reasons for looking into the following.

Nigeria has a population of over 180 million people. Out of this 180 million, over 120 million now live below poverty line. This means that about 66% of the population of Nigerians live below poverty line......& this is a country that claims to be THE GIANT OF AFRICA!?!?!? This is the deplorable situation we find ourselves due to decades of gross mismanagement and pillaging of our resources by our so-called leaders. In the past forty-five years, countries like Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea, who were not as developed as Nigeria in the 1960s have vastly developed because of visionary leaderships that drove their nations. These countries are flourishing in their economy, maximising their GDP by spending it on institutions, being less corrupt and diverting their religiousity to boom their economy by not using it as an excuse to remain stagnant. The twisted irony is that of a rich father with poor children: He invested the money he should have used to develop his own family on other families' growth and expects a good reactions from those families. Those other families can only see such a father as a fool, and they continue to flourish with their members as the foolish father faces the wrath of abuses and witch haunting by his children. This is the analogy of most of our so-called leaders in the past 40 years, particularly in the past 25 years. These stolen monies are used to develop the economies of the countries where these monies are kept. If these monies have been invested in Nigeria, it would have greatly helped the growth and advancement of the country.

Reuben Abati says in a piece titled 'Nobody Comes to Abuja to Read' that; "Ideas drive and build nations. A country without a positive and deep current of thought is bound to run into crisis" as we see in Nigeria's economy today. " So it is with Nigeria where the leaders only become animated when they want to share money or play partisan politics..... Try and compare the cabinet list in Singapore with that of Nigeria, for example. The difference is clear. The message is clear. The answer lies in a re-configuration of the leadership recruitment process and the vigilance of civil society insisting on higher values".

We have a prevalent situation where our legislators refuse to study how their counterparts in other flourishing countries administer their law making that helps to promote consistent growth and advancement. Our Nigerian lawmakers are content with the part of the constitution that allows & affords them fat bank accounts and living lavishly in the midst of socio-economic crisis; they refuse to make it possible to change the aspect of the constitution that will slash their salaries & allowances but they are more than happy to debate and amend 'Social Media Bill' that will restrict freedom of information because the restriction of such information will suit them and allow them to carry out their nefarious acts that the flawed constitution allows. The 'clan based approach' in recruitment exercises has crippled most sectors of the economy. This has led to 'brain drain' whereby most of our capable citizens have had to migrate to foreign countries where their skills & know how are appreciated, to be used for the development of their host countries. This brain drain is a massive challenge for the present Buhari government who needs competent Nigerians to help the country out of this period of crisis"

ARIK: FATTY-BRAIN MANAGEMENT
As I approached the Arik air certified profiler (as he later bragged), I gave him my documents and less than ten seconds, he hurriedly said, "you can't fly" I jokingly said, "of course I'm human, I ain't got no wings and that's why I am here to board arik". He repeated angrily without genuine reason. To cut the story short, I only told him a simple clear sentence to the hearing of his colleagues, "sir, I don't really like publicity and it won't be too good for you if I got popular through you...then they behaved normal. There after, we were delayed for three hours, twenty minutes. Usain Bolt would have reached Oshodi within that time and Dangote would have made more millions but there I was with Arik playing with my destiny with no apologies.

In July 2009, a man posted a song titled "United breaks guitars" United airline suffered for it. There's hardly a month that Arik won't be in the news for their ill-service rendition and no one to checkmate them because the authority either have shares in the business or they are helpless in their perplexity. But this is unacceptable for crying out loud! Keeping people on the floor for more than a night? Of course the weather was bad but not only in Nigeria and passengers were not treated this way, at least I haven't heard of one.

My conclusion is that the management and staff of Arik air have stubborn fatty brains which slows their thinking. They should hit the gym to be mentally fit for the 21st century harsh competition.

WE SHOULD ALL VISIT THE ASYLUM; YOU KNOW THAT RIGHT?

A soul to uphold, a magnet to attract, a needle to thread, two legs to walk, two hands to work, one brain to think, a whole lot to invest, some leaders to strengthen, a country to behold, some citizens to appreciate. A little walk down through the heart of man can only do much more than just a stroll through a greedy life that thinks only about himself and feels that every other thing is insignificant.

They need to visit the asylum, yes! they do. The kids in the house that steal the meat from the mother's cooking pot, neglecting the fact that the pot of soup is meant for the whole family, and in a bit to satisfy their covetousness, they steal those meats not to quench hunger, but to have a better taste of what is meant for the whole family than other members.

A mother is the chief cook in a home, her affairs to oversee the home makes her feel that she has absolute power in most cases, and thus a means to eat better than others. In her coded room (kitchen), as she boils the meat and fish, a great chunk has been swallowed in her mouth. The plantain cannot be enough for the family, because mother has tasted more than enough. The meal looks lean not because better quantity was not cooked, but mother already ate her first round before the arrival of daddy. Mother's monthly allowance to cater for the needs of the family sometimes fizzle away, not because things are costly, but she has invested in gold, costume and body accessories business. An issue to trash on the table of the disciplinary committee and not the bin right? Just hold on.... www.purplethoughtsnow..com

Nairaland GeneralOh What A Time To Be A Nigerian! by RichEstate(op): 8:17am On Sep 30, 2016
OH WHAT A TIME TO BE A NIGERIAN!
Peter denied being disciple of Christ because the situation at that time was terrible and he felt playing safe was the best for him...oh what a time to be Christ's disciple! Perhaps, the situation at hand in our dear country is more scary than it was for Peter. We are getting ripped apart and nearly everyone felt more comfortable to associate with one's surname than bearing national image. Truly things are changing 'unfavourably'.

Where do we start from? The Politicians are milking us dry, the corruption in the land could make you feel they're Pharisee that Christ condemned. Economy is going down the cliff if not already in it. Naira was 0.765 to a US dollar when I was born and as of today it is 480 to one US dollar. Just like a Football commentator would like to say it; Oh what are you doing Nigeria! Businesses are shutting down, I wonder what Mark Zuckerberg would have thought when he was at the arrival wing of Murtala Mohammed international airport, the last time I checked, the escalator was not working. What really is our problem? What is wrong with being black?

Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause. The question is what is our noble cause? Stealing? "Mindlessness or directionlessness"? as hon. Patrick would have it said. We have not really defined our noble cause or our perplexed situation that has birthed us recession has really made us to lose focus on what our noble causes are. Oh what a time to be a Nigerian! Help our youth the truth to know. The youths are not really ready to know but to wail on Facebook that a youth like them turned to a business empire. We have become guests of honour at a pity party. So how do we move from here?

There's an interesting story in the bible. Governor Nehemiah was narrating how they fought recession and was able to build the wall of Jerusalem. He attributed their success to one thing: 'so we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, FOR THE PEOPLE WORKED WITH ALL THEIR HEART. Neh 4:6'. At the last verse of the chapter he said, 'Neither I nor my brothers nor my men nor the Guards with me took off our clothes...even when he went for water'. That is our duty at this time, oh what a time to be a Nigerian.

We must be ready to work with all our heart. Tough times needs tough decisions to make things right. Recession time is not time to sell assets but time to build, time to communicate positively, time not to play politics with our development as political parties are doing. We need to work with all our heart and do away with nepotism, not being divided along ethnicity nor religion. If you bomb any national asset in your locality because you are upset or felt cheated, nobody would suffer more for it than your kids you would later raise in that environment. We have to be wise how we handle situation. Let us help our economy and not rely solely on government.

We need to be more compatriot and work with all our heart. We have everything at our disposal to effect the turnaround we desire. We will work with all our heart and generation yet unborn will bless our memories for creating a beautiful, prosperous nation for them. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY NIGERIA.

Dele Momodu.

It is just sad, that somebody who knows how to get across to the President should now descend this low,by dancing to the the dance rhythm of a section of the polity, which for a lack of better definition,I will call the wailers.

So I went through his write up,and to be fair to him. Some of the issues and points he raised are valid ones, but there are ways he could have sent his ideas and working policies to the Presidency, but what did he do?he went to the Public to post,so as to make a mockery of this Government.

The way human nature is,is that everybody becomes a Medical Doctor when somebody becomes sick, with funny Prescriptions . So Nigeria is going through a temporary economic challenge, and everybody, including Dele Momodu has now turned into an Economist.

What did he study again?Yoruba. A man with a first degree in Yoruba Language, all of a sudden wants to be an Economic Adviser.

A man with a Masters Degree in English Language, all of a sudden is knowing more than Buhari's sound Economic teams, who are busy trying to pull us out from the pit hole the PDP dug and threw us in.

Dele Momodu should stick to his Glossy Magazine business, and leave the Serious matter of Governance to those in the know about Governance.

Boss, I am not into politics, I supported the change. But I'll like to share different opinion on how you said Mr Dele should approach the issue or that he should face his glossy magazine business and leave the scene for the economic team.

Let me raise few points here:
1. This government lacks effective communication skills. Everybody wants to talk. And thereby contradicting one another in the public on same issue. They do not need to be orators before passing simple message to the public.
2. You don't need to be an economist before knowing that we are heading for the cliff, if we have not entered it. Being an economist does not spare one from economic blunder so for him to have suggested substitution of a player in the team who's having a bad day (not because he doesn't know) should not be heavily criticised. In my opinion too, fashola needs to manage just one department to perform, Donald Duke, pat utomi need to come in. Information minister needs to be shown way out or pointed to order because this is the time to speak out. There should be assurance speeches that will give us hope. Every American leader has that power of making their people believe.
3. We can still recollect how we got here, so we needn't be reminded that goodluck was our bad luck or that PDP stole our money. Yes we still remember, but clean the mess without wasting time. I believe in this nation and in my lifetime, I will eat of her surplus.
Nairaland GeneralEconomic Recession Is A Decoy, Use The Term "Economic Crisis" by RichEstate(op): 5:22pm On Sep 16, 2016
To a layman, production and consumption of goods are natural and this process keeps up without verifying the needful, if it is seen in quantity or reduction, so far it is available. For the experts, it is seen from an economic point of view which is the state of a country or region in terms of the production and consumption of goods, services and supply of money. Nigerians have lately been acquainted with the term economic recession, and may be confusing to an ordinary man on the street, and here is the reason for the bisection and dissection. An economic recession is as a result of decline in gross domestic products for two or more consecutive quarters, and GDP is referred to as the market value of all goods and services produced within a given period of time. An economic downturn is as related to recession as a twin, and it suggests that the rate of economic growth is slowing down and possibly entering into recession. This is a reason we have to jettison the term recession popularised recently, because in all, downturn and recession form a junk of crisis, so why not address the Nigerian present state as facing economic crisis.

The economic crisis currently facing Nigeria is beyond a political affair, but the intervention of economic experts is needed to put a lasting rest to what has come to bring slavery back in form of foreign assistance. A widely known and accepted fact is that Nigeria is one of the endowed countries in the world in terms of natural resources and this has not proven the country to be one of the most policy executors in the world. From a critical angle, politics has sunk deeper into the country that attention has gradually been drifted away from addressing economic matters to worries about who created the crisis scenario and whose administration it escalated.

The Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari is currently agitating for emergency power to falsify the rise of economic crisis, but some policy makers elected as National Assembly legislators are of the belief that it is an avenue for the president to become a dictator by usurping their powers and taking the country back to military era where democracy will no longer have its place. The request for the emergency power is partly linked to the emergency power Act of 1961, but in this case, economy is affected as against political motive of 1961. On the other hand, could it be that the fears of some legislators that are delaying the passing of the bill could be likened to fear of guilt as most will be denied of unnecessary gains that come out of projects awarded? The president has power in his own right to make policies, so far he passes through the right procedure as enunciated by some National Assembly members, and hence the cause of their worries over the recent agitation.

In all of these fiascos, citizens are equally tainted to have ignored their line of duty as they form part of the alliance that sabotage the economy of the country. We all know that oil forms the strongest part of Nigeria livelihood, and it has drastically degenerated in value as a matter of lack of maintenance and vandalism of pipelines by some citizens.

In actuality, where are the farms that produced agricultural products those days? The farms that produced our cotton, grains, and other farm products, all gone and farmers have become urban settlers, even mechanised farming is of a low range. Oil spillage has caused decrease in fishes in the rivers, and deforestation has gained prominence like a king in the jungle.

At this juncture, we all know that Nigeria can rise again if we are all ready to dip our hands in the economy to loosen and tighten some bolts that are necessary. From a policy perspective, we need economic development which is an effort to improve the economic wellbeing and quality of life for our country by creating and retaining jobs and supporting or growing incomes and tax base. Our gross domestic products must rise, by avoiding monopoly, monopsony and oligopoly. Increase in production of locally made products must skyrocket so that prices of goods and services are moderated though not totally deflated, but disinflated in the bit to increase the value of Nigerian currency. The National Assembly should work towards passing the emergency power bill if it is considered as the only way to make standing policies, and if not, the National Assembly should not hesitate to grant any bill that intends to improve the economic state of the country, and above all, corruption must stop!

INSPIRED PUSH.

A man had one very beautiful daughter. When the daughter was ready for marriage, the father sent news around town that all the eligible young men should come to compete in a test which would determine who was fit to marry his daughter.

On that day, all was set, all the able-bodied young men came out. Some came with paper and biro and others with cutlasses and swords.

The rich man took them to his swimming pool and addressed the men: “Any of you who can swim from one end of this swimming pool to the other would marry my daughter.

In addition, I‘ll give him 15 million dollars, a car and a house so they can start life well. I shall be waiting to meet my son-in-law at the other end. Good luck!”

As the young men, all very excited at the prospect of winning, started taking off their shirts, a helicopter came over the pool and dropped alligators and crocodiles into the pool. Immediately, all the men turned back and started wearing their shirts again. Disappointed, some of them said, ''That's crazy, let's see who would marry that girl, no one will''.

All of a sudden, they heard a splash in the pool. Everybody watched in amazement as one gentleman waddled across, expertly avoiding the alligators and crocodiles.

Finally, he made it to the other side. The rich man could not believe it. He asked the young man to name anything he wanted but the man was still panting uncontrollably.

Finally, he got back to his senses and made a request saying, ''SHOW ME THE PERSON WHO PUSHED ME INSIDE THIS POOL!''

Moral 1:
You don’t know what you are capable of doing until you are PUSHED!!.

Moral 2:
Those seeking to push you into the jaws of alligators and crocodiles may have helped you to reach your promised land!!!

Sometimes it takes going through the bad moments to bring out the BEST in us.

Trials are raw materials for Triumphant Testimonies... The push might take different dimensions: some people needed to be sacked before realizing their potentials and reaching their goals in life.

YOU WILL GET A DIVINELY INSPIRED PUSH in your life.

POSITIVE MANIFESTATION
I was on hospital bed staring death in the face, i wished it was not so but that was all i could see and so, sleeping was difficult as i would surely see coffin or ghost-it was as bad as that. When my mum looked at me, she was always close to tears. My body peeled as if it delighted in peeling. Immune system dropped as it was giving up against the monster of a disease. My inner strength was begining to doubt my healing despite daily prayers from family and friends. The monster was winning on per second billing while i was losing the fight at the speed of light. My aunt would come daily, whispered healing words into my ears...then my faith picked up!

I began to see myself amidst great people testifying to the power of God who raised me- half dead man. I would say those positive words to myself when my aunt was not around and then i started believing the words...gradually i recovered!

Your situation seemed hopeless and you're saying in your heart, 'you can't understand, my health, marriage, finance, image is ruined beyond all this you're saying.' May be or may be not. The situation you are in, no matter how terrible, would never erase principle of positive imagination, affirmation and manifestation. Walk out of that ugly situation by imagining positive things but not only that, you've got to say it to the atmosphere for your belief system to be quickened, then positive manifestation will occur.

It is not working for many because they are doing it wrong way.

Put your imagery to work but that is not even the part where many missed it, it's at confession point. You have to do it positively. For instance, i will not be poor and i am rich are two different things. In the former you are still using the word poor while the latter focuses on riches. Choose positive affirmation that are not mixed with negative words. Your dry bones will come to life. Believe!

Our nation today spews distress, poor leadership and followership, bombing, terrorism, child abuse, poverty, lack of modern infrastructures and unfortunately we are now used to it that we believe it is a normal way of life and when someone thinks out of the box and urges us to see a positive nation, we label their effort as mere motivation.

Really, there's nothing to be excited about in the nation as corrupt few and large indisciplined citizens have sent the nation crawling. It is the reality we face but the nation must change in our mind before positive manifestation occurs. It must be on our lips that it is well with our nation, by so doing, the giant in individual will come to life to battle the problems that rubbishes us everywhere.

America was at war, many citizens were not happy with president bush approach but they never stopped believing in the greateness of the land.

We are all we have to defend our land. First, by affirming the greatness that is coming to be very soon.

Nairaland GeneralWhen Is My Tomorrow? by RichEstate(op): 3:46am On May 29, 2016
WHEN IS MY TOMORROW?
We waited patiently for governor Isiaka Adeleke of Osun state at the Ife city stadium. My grandma had taken her time to shape out the creases on my school uniform, though my granny refered to it as gator. We were more than eager to meet the governor as Mr Fasogbon, our head master had already raised our hope that we would become leaders of tomorrow.

The sun was dealing with us, and just as i bought ten kobo 'lolly' (our own form of yoghurt) to quench my thirst, the governor arrived. If not for the escort siren, we wouldn't have believed the announcer because he had deceived us for more than four hours that the governor was close by.

His speech was inspiring and reassuring that we would become leaders of tomorrow.

Over two decades now, it seems we are farther from the tomorrow than before. What have we not done or what should we have done on our part for the tomorrow to have materialised? The present leaders are the ones that have been leading us since independence and they have not seen any reason for us to handle affairs except being used as thugs for elections.

Similarly, i was returning to lagos from school for christmas. I had five hundred naira left on me for fare to my house and the balance budgeted for my sister's 'dodo ikire' (sort of spiced-fried plantain), she wouldn't forget if i did not get it so, no 'jupiter' could part the money with me.

And then a young beautiful girl, fulani? approached the bus and started singing 'eni odun ba l'aye o ko korin ope' by Niyi Adedokun. I had not recovered from the shock, as i wondered how she could speak yoruba fluently, when she changed it to Wasiu Sodiq's song.

And then she started begging for money after she had intimated us with her dream of becoming a lawyer. Maybe she was lying but all i could do was to handed over the money to her, forgo my sister's plantain and shook my head for the nation...When would her tomorrow come!

What is the way forward because many youths have entered their graves without experiencing their tomorrow.

Getting tomorrow must be systemic and not solely on prayers. It is sickening praying to have electricity in my home after a tiring day work. Our night is 'night fall in Soweto', sleeping sound is not sure for high level of insecurity.

No political party can give us desired future what we just need is a working system where there will be laws to punish sabotage of our collective efforts and where every leader is accountable. System where electricity, transportation, education, housing and all sphere of our life are brought to life. When they are fixed, the blame would then solely be on the youths for our own woes. For many of us, we can hold our own even though governmental mud is dragging us back and struggling hard to kill the tomorrow we have designed for ourselves. This directionless course, like an aircraft that disappeared from radar must stop now!

As we call upon God to heal our land, that which we ought to do as leaders and citizens must not be neglected. Policies that will liberate people should be made at all time and given urgent accent.

These will increase the chance of living in our tomorrow. And then our unborn children will learn how we stood for their tomorrow even as we realised ours.

THINK YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LIVE FOR?
If you were his neighbour and your ward offended you at any time of the day, Alabi was the only option you could call upon to discipline the child for you- he's jobless.

Everything seemed grounded for him. He had all good ideas in the world yet no positive yield. What has he not tried to breakthrough: business? Petty Job? Investment? Alabi was just a consistent failure. A loser-cum-laude!

Perhaps the only thing working for him was that people were always there for him though one couldn't be sure if good thing would come out of the good gesture toward him.

For three days, he had been on fast as he was expectant of half a million naira from cooperative society his mother in-law enrolled in.

And now, he rushed in with a polythene bag; locked himself in, opened the bag, jumped up on his bed. At last!

Then he realised he was hungry. He took a thousand naira note from the money, locked the rest in a wooden safe. Few minutes later, he was eating and thinking at a restaurant...

Unknown to him, his rented apartment was on fire due to power surge. He arrived on a bike and everyone was relieved that afterall he was not in the conflagration.

In disbelief, and before anyone could stop him, he dashed into the fire to pick the safe. He was so determined that he got there so fast not minding the severe pain. The box had disintegrated and the money? (May be someone would have helped had they known he had money inside)...the money he had planned for to change his life had turned to ashes...

He cried out loud in the fire and made his way back out...eventually, he fainted and was rushed to hospital.

Dear friend, no matter what you may be passing through; loss of job, low income, loss of loved one, sickness or anything that can be classified as loss or defeat. PICK YOURSELF UP, you have everything to live for.

In trying times everything could seem to fail even the inner strength to trust God. When life dealt you one of its scary cards, it's not enough for you to turn yourself to a walking corpse. I have seen people who got out of muds of life- far terrible situation than you are facing. This is not time for you to get depressed: The table will turn for you and there'll be joyous shout from your camp.

Friend, when we are in trouble we seem to forget that God will do what no man can do. Of course, we may be sighted at religious centres but with little or no faith and that slows down your healing. Hold on to God, you're in His plan.

May i also encourage you to engage your mind positively. Positive affirmation everyday, and engaging in activities that will put you back on a right path.

Don't say no to life. You will see the finish line where champions are decorated. You will celebrate!
