charly20:Thumbs up for you bro. |
If the train has left you will you start running after it? If the plane has left you will you chase after it? If your answer is no to these above questions then anytime the market leaves you behind, please and please don't chase it. |
charly20:Bro more wins for you too. |
charly20:If you're too careful you'll be careless. I like this quote. Like my mentor will say, trust your analysis and if you're stopped so be it. You've learned a new thing. I completed my free trial yesterday fulfilling all the conditions successfully. Next week I will enrol in another one and work on passing it. |
charly20:Interestingly, I followed my rules and trade strategy if I may call it that. Not more than 0.20 lots of any open trade. I don't even trade it everyday and it will end 26th of this month and I have one more day to complete five trading days minimum. I have stoploss applied to each of my trade and I don't shift it for any reason. I just relax myself and I get the results I want. It seems slowly and steadily is key for me. And no pressure of someone overtaking you. |
infofirst:Trading is wonderful when one can get his acts right and treat it as a serious business. I'm a witness of a young man who is a senior to me who trades only GU and makes in profit average of $25000 monthly here in Nigeria. Then I know this is the real deal. |
charly20:I saw this when you posted about history repeating itself about oil. Oil is dropping with it's logic anyway but I've not been able to catch it because I'm focusing on the ftmo free trial. And I just passed the max loss daily, monthly and profit target exceeded today remaining 1 more day to complete the conditional minimum trading days. I traded only NASDAQ and gold because oil on ftmo is not as fast as the above . My NASDAQ buy trade today gave me all the profits to pass the free trial. Bro, I'm enjoying your analysis more. Keep it up. Guys, why is it so easy to pass the ftmo when I'm trading on personally than when in a competition? ![]() |
@mystiquefia congratulations to you and success in your new endeavour. @charly20 I see you and I appreciate your consistency and patience in your trade journey. More success in the bag for you in this industry. @feshizzy I appreciate your kind gesture to this community and you shall surely be well rewarded for your good deeds. I saw this late so I couldn't join the contest. @infofirst thank you for keeping to your word as always on the personalised competition and raising successful traders and surely you'll be highly rewarded. When it's my turn kindly let me know sir. I'm currently on a ftmo free trial trading and preparing myself for the next opportunity.@FTAs my people here. Good day to you all and more profitable pips into your accounts. |

My mentor right there. Every market is manipulated and 100% rigged. He that has ears let him hear. Enough said. Be careful today cos of FOMC... another manipulation it is. |
VlamesIffect:Not really. But it depends on the daily bias i.e the more probable direction the price is likely to go and it must be solely because there is a pool of liquidity resting there. Once I'm sure of the bias then I wait for entries to be presented as the case maybe. The bias could be in form of a reversal or continuation but primarily it must have a logical reason for going where is going. If I'm wrong then I'm stopped out and I close for the day. |
charly20:I understand you. That's the difference between a swing trader and a daytrader. As a day trader I stay and watch my trade hit my target within the time period of trade which is averagely 2-3hours. This is why I take partials along as my trade goes the intended direction for the day. I only leave it to run when it has more liquidity and maybe FVG to seek within the day's trading range and I'm out once it gets there. Mostly I trade NY session both AM and PM seesion that's between 1:30pm to 5pm and 7pm to 10pm Nigeria time. As a rule I must collapse all my trades within the day. |
Candbud:Thanks but no. I'm a naked chart trader and I don't use them except fib to only check premium and discount arrays of whatever trading price range I'm likely to trade. |
charly20:It's part of the process bro. Today I entered usoil buy and ran out with just 24pips profits. I could see you entered your oil sell earlier than the sell reversal began today. We keep on looking out for the liquidity the market wants to seek per time and we follow it right there. Gold seems to be going down to the old low sellside liquidity at 1786.56 like I opined yesterday. Looking for premium opportunity to short tomorrow but I'll be cautious of the news at 1:30pm and FOMC at 7:30pm tomorrow. Not a trade call just my opinion. |
@charly20 Can you see what gold has done today? The logic is simple. It took out the buyside liquidity resting above the last week high and at the same time hitting the sell orderblock on the daily and dropped massively into the FVG and closing it completely on the daily. I hope you were not used as liquidity along with the buyers today. The weekly is a sell orderflow as the daily too. And I see it going down to 1786.56 on the daily to take out the sellside liquidity there. Just my opinion though. Modified. |
charly20:I can understand. Try study these times. You can gain back all the reds of today. |
charly20:Sorry for your gold loss. I saw that the CPI at 1:30pm was being's used to drive gold down to take out liquidity and it lured so many in but then I was waiting for 2:30pm NY open liquidity and I saw the price was going nowhere but up after taking out the sellside liquidity. And it did after 2:30pm NY open. I didn't take the gold buy because I was already waiting to enter oil sell which I did and caught some decent profits. In my trades, I take advantage of both NY open session of 2:30pm and 3:30pm (both Nigeria time) every trading day. Sometimes trade may leave me behind waiting for the liquidity run at this times but I don't mind because no matter what I won't chase price. I know price may offer an entry either as a premium or discount as the case maybe and if it doesn't come, I don't care. I'll wait for another day. @charly20 kindly study these times and you'll see what I'm talking about clearly even though I know you're a swing trader. Learn from your wounds today as I always learn from mine. |
charly20:Na the news manipulation to take out the liquidity out from the down and take out the liquidity at the top out as well. I sold oil and took out 198 pips profits for a Friday. |
High impact news will forever be used to manipulate price in all the markets. Gold today is a good example. Always be ready for the manipulation to fulfil its purpose before entering to enjoy the smooth sailing in the proposed direction of price daily. And this happens not randomly. Let us use this weekend to reflect on our trades this week and learn from both our profits and losses. @charly20 how are you doing? |
charly20:I'm very well @charly20. Oil move is smooth but volatility na die. Like you said never be caught in the wrong direction. I caught 340 pips in profits on Monday/Tuesday. My TP hit early Tuesday morning. I didn't plan to swing because I daytrade it but I wasn't aware there was a holiday in the US and market closed on my open trade on Monday till it reached TP on Tuesday. The importance of setting stoploss at all times. Great one on your gold trade call. |
Time and price rule the market all the time. |
infofirst:Good. What about someone like me that joined the season 7 as a first timer? |
charly20: ![]() |
charly20:My TP has been hit already. My fellows can go ahead with their buy. ![]() |
charly20:Great job. I'll need more of your analysis on gold when next you have a setup. |
charly20: Interesting. My TP is at the low of the bearish orderblock on 15 minutes TF. Great job. |
Oil! what a manipulation today. It's always good to implement the price as it relates to time when entering a trade in strict accordance to the daily bias. Wait and be precise about the liquidity the particular market you're interested in is seeking and let it finish its manipulation before you dive in at the right time. Market may seek buyside liquidity to later go south or it may seek sell liquidity to later go to the up north. And it may decide to seek both the buyside and sellside liquidity within a daily range to take the stops resting there and then later go where it wants to go for the day. The secret to not being swept with the liquidity here is to wait for the right time to enter. The markets are all about time and price in order of importance. @charly20 I entered to long oil at the NY session after the manipulation was ended and bagged 215 pips partials as I type and waiting for the remaining to hit tp. The purple line in the chart is the opening price 12 am NY time today. I'm getting to love trading NY session because it affords me to see out the manipulation during London session. Though this is not always the case everyday. Hence we must be on the lookout.

charly20:I meant the old high of 2 weeks was taken yesterday and as a result new buyside liquidity was engineered. The moment I saw the gap filled I sensed it might want to reprice down and offer low prices. NASDAQ buyside liquidity at 12550 was taken out yesterday which was a relative equal highs and repriced down. Tomorrow I expect it to continue to offer low prices and take out the old low engineered on the daily if it does do that today with the way it's offering lower prices. Kudos to you bro. |
charly20:I can see you have taken your profit on your oil long trade before the drop. Well done. Can you see what oil is doing? Repricing to the down side after taking that old high yesterday? Do you see NASDAQ too? Same thing it's doing. Nice call on NASDAQ from you. What a market? Very interesting. I've taken 254 pips in oil as partials waiting for my tp to be reached at the old low. So close to it as I type. |
infofirst:The wotowoto there is doubled or tripled o. Don't let indices volatility mess your equity. |
charly20:See the liquidity the market is seeking or you're the liquidity for others. ![]() Congratulations on your oil trade. |
infofirst:@Karkinase A big congratulations to you and I wish you good luck in the future endeavour. God bless. |
