[quote author=Drabeey post=50725601]When there is hunger in the land, poverty is never out of sight, yet the roads we ply in order to make ends meet despite the country's economic woes is just an eyesore. This is very painful.

The pictures you are seeing is the present state of sango bridge onward Abeokuta.

We commuters using this road use nothing lesser than 3hours just from toll-gate to the other side Sango bridge.

Recession is here, no jobs out there, electricity is not there, yet we cant enjoy good roads.

These pictures were taken yesterday (2/11/2016)

If the millitary were able to build some of the country's assets without borrowing that much even when our crude was not sold up to $20, i think there is absolutely no need to borrow that much

What was the performance of the firm before the takeover?

Almost 20,000 youths were earning their living there

That was the best decision just like the selling of 1004 Estate in Vi(Lagos) and other government properties in Ikoyi that was nothing to write home about until after the takeover. I knew how they were before and after the takeover.

Where did the proceed go to?

It has been DEAD since the days of the useless military

If NLNG was still under the Army, it would have been long gone just like the refineries and other institutions that were left to rot INCLUDING NNPC.

Where were the military before that era?
Abacha served in the millitary regime

I'm surprised at our line of thought. Nigeria was progressing before Military intervention in 1966. That alone brought about a spiral fall.

I dare say that the performance of Awolowo alone dwarfs the contribution of ALL Military Administrators in the west COMBINED.

Lagos started seeing progress immediately Jakande took over but went bad again when Military came in.

Lagos became progressive since the coming of Tinubu(Civilian) in 1999, who helped midwife a system that has ensured progress.

What has been the contribution of the military in Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Kano, Kaduna and Rivers states? Can it be compared to civilians?

BTW who took over as civilians in 1999? Are they not the military boys and their stooges in Agbada?

That Nigeria hasn't made relative progress is the fault of the populace that kept on electing mediocre and defending THIEVES. It isn't the system.

BTW OP all those institutions you mentioned were left to rot by the same military.
I was working with Ferrostaal AG that built ALSCON untill OBJ took over govt in 1999

Gwarinpa estate built by sani abacha was sold by OBJ govt

When do you think Ajaokuta was abandoned? Check it

I worked with Daewoo in Bonny during the construction of NLNG train 6 facilitated by Abacha govt,

The University Teaching Hospital formerly Ibom specialist hospital the only tertiary hospital in Akwa Ibom was built by Abacha

there is also the issue of human right abuse, except cases sponsored by the state, the police or any security agency will not abuse you for whatsoever, nothing like roger that, because the process of getting punished isnt the same with democracy that's cumbersome, and we have also witnessed numerous cases of abuse during democracy here in nigeria.

Propaganda. You have forgotten that the North ruled Nigeria the most and they did NOTHING for Nigeria.

Even Kainji Dam that claimed to supply all our electricity since the 60's before gas plants at Egbin, is a total scam and non existent.

All those assets were really built by the Togolese.
OBJ built 2 refineries as a millitary president

At the helms of affairs.

He failed the region, Nigeria ,west Africa, Africa ,

World and the entire human race woefully
So you are not aware that jonathan cannot sign PIB into law except it has been passed by the senate?
