Bluetooth2: Common sense
A Niger delta man abandoned Jonathan yet decides to name his dog a northern name while an ibo lady neglected Ojuku and name her cat after a yoruba .
Other times you dont need the constitution to tell you what is wrong or right. Assuming that what you said makes sense, which I dont buy, lack of common sense still isnt a criminal offence yet. My argument is against the authorities bundling him up and taking him in custody for 3 days. It is not just right. |

I have said it before, Nigeria is NOT a country to be proud of. We have NO single respect for basic human rights. Why exactly was that man thrown in jail? #igiveup And the poor dog that did nothing |

Toks2008: Young lady please take a cold glass of water and a chill pill then answer this question in all sincerity.
If a 40 year old single mum or widow friend of yours comes to you to advice her if she should marry a married man who is asking for her hand in marriage...would you ask her not to?
If you have a never married 42 year old lady friend intending to marry a married man would you ask her not to but wait more for a single never married guy?
Waiting for your answer and how I wish Seun or lalasticlala can also answer this simple question. Oh, you are still talking? As per your last mention thay I was trolling, I decided to shut your shrill voice out. Anyways, as per your question, I would never advise someone else to marry an already married and still married man. A lifetime of unrest and unhappiness follows which simply is not worth the hassle. Can you now stop talking? This thread is definately NOT frontpage nound. |

Teespice: my maternal grandfather had three wives. my grandmother being the second wife.
I know what my grandmother, my mum and her siblings went through growing up. it wasn't funny at all.
All what you have written is simply theory. practically, it is impossible. as usual, you write like someone who knows it all. anyhow, it's the internet where anything goes.
all this talk is just what it is, talk. practice polygamy first let us see how successful it is from your end. who knows we might follow suit. Exactly. The op should read this again. |

Toks2008: Polygamy and polygamous homes are too different things.
Many married men practise polygamy but they don't have a home with two wives.
Nevertheless it is important to look at the points raised and discuss them rather than directing any question to me.
My disclaimer says it all so learn to address issues objectively. I should look at what you said but not the source? Toks, your issues in life are really deep-rooted. Just look at what you wrote again. You will see the crazy in it, I promise. |

PayBoyXclusives: Am an African man and traditionally i can marry as many wives as i can take care of.. NO WOMAN OR CHILD HAS THE RIGHT TO CHASE OUT ANOTHER WOMAN OR CHILD DECLARED A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY EITHER BY BIRTH OR MARRIAGE.. With all i know and as an African Man aware that am a Man i can control as many wives and children of mine with the right decision and punishment for whosoever wishes to challenge my authority as the man.. So YES I CAN RAISE MY KIDS IN A POLYGAMOUS HOME to be responsible and better citizens You sound someone is arguing with your masculinity. Your post reek of the kind of insecurity that comes with the experience of polygamy. You clearly have unresolved issues with polygamy. |

Toks2008,
I just have one question for you
Where you raised in a polygamous family?
The same way you took your time to research how polygamy will make life better for men and women, also research about how life is in a polygamous home.
And to wrap it up, take your time and read this somewhat realistic Nigerian novel "The secret lives of Baba Segi's wives" |

Because it hurts! And it makes you want to question your value.
You ask yourself....What exactly was I lacking? Am I incomplete or something? And if he/she left you for another person, you ask yourself what you don't have that the person has.
It is not really about the prospect of not dating anymore, but the aftertaste. |

Even the 6 yr old that was raped by a hiv positive adult is a blessing to ur people, so u can pray for more of those blessings. Hypocrisy is when ur problem stares u in the face but u busy are solving the problem of ur neighbour. If you have nothing better to say, please keep quiet Are you always present when I say my prayers? How do you even know my place? This one is so lucky his story made it to the news.
The real truth is that there are thousands of this type of kids in the north. A lot of them don't even know their birth parents as they are transferred from state to state. They usually end up begging to keep body and soul together.
I wish people will understand the enormous ignorance and poverty that goes on in the North.
For every fine and wealthy northern girl/boy that we see on the internet, there are thousands very less fortunate ones.

SirWere: Quora is filled with professors, master students and really really intelligent people.
Besides, It has such a vast array of people, from different countries; each a leading figures in whichever field they specialize in.
You obviously can't compare it to Nairaland Of course I am not comparing it in the sense of responses and user engagement quality. I am looking at it based on its progressive nature. Quora has a platform that is appealing and comfortable and user-friendly. Nairaland on the other hand, though small, has refused to be progressive in any way. We still have basically the same platform outlook after such a long time. No new features, no modified features, everything is just the same old boring way it has always been. Anything is good enough until it chooses to br stagnant. Then, it becomes mediocre. |

I even hosted her in a self Con and lied of not having a car all to dissuade her. Just was turned off cos she is not as educated as I appreciate. Just be smart, good girls are everywhere. Op, obiorathesubtle and emperorlee have given you really great advise. Consider it seriously. I am going to come from another angle. I am not trying to reprimand you, but just what do you think will happen to the girls you just dropped like hot coal? You drag them in just to leave them broken? Even if you don't consider anything, please consider these girls. Don't purposefully leave a trail of broken hearts behind you. Fin advise: If you are not absolutely sure, do not even start it at all. Obiorathesubtle, that story was so touching I'd really wanna know what happened |
