I suppose. We weren't born rich, so I absolutely want us to live better. When I had a job, I saved but I don't think he did. And it's frustrating. He talks alot about the future but all this time, we haven't really started working towards achieving any of our goals, atleast I'm trying despite living in the poorest country. He's doing better, so I expect some effort but I'm getting nothing.

I'll encourage him to save, I did when he first got the job, five months after we started dating. I know he'll quit again, he keeps doing it. All I need is stability.

since you have discussed it with him,just chill..if he is someone not serious about his finances and he is not ready to adjust,you can break up.. financial stability is very important in marriage..if he keeps messing up his finances,you should have a rethink about the relationship

don't pressure him at all.. don't bring up the issue with him again...just only suggest and encourage him to have a savings account different from his normal account..but please don't mention that part of you wanting him to save in your account...has it occurred to you that he might be seeking advise from people on this matter too?..and most men will advise him that you are after his Money...YOUR INTENTIONS MAYBE GOOD,BUT ITS NOT ALL GOOD INTENTIONS THAT GOES DOWN WELL WITH PEOPLE..so just suggest for him and from time to time ask him how he is doing with the savings that's all

one more thing...the bvas can't stop underaged voters..they will be accredited and they will be told who gets the vote or even vote for them... underaged voters are much in the north...from my time there as an adhoc staff...trust me the numbers are high...a family of one man three wives (adults) will bring kids up to 8 all underaged to register...I really fear the process...cus bvas won't save us from that

Yes, it is a headache in Nigeria and majorly because no entrepreneurs have stepped in to sufficiently fill the gap there in order to bring ease to those issues you mentioned. in the western world..it's difficult as well for a man...I know a man that changed his surname in Italy...it took him 8years to get the new on his italian passport..he is a nigerian-italian...the had to check his criminal records and watch him for many years,to be sure he is not planning to commit a crime with the old name...for a man change of name is hell..it's only women that have it easy when they change their name due to marriage

you must have a new surname right?.. good,here the issues matching you old documents with your new name in your valid identity card eg if you're migrating for example,your will not have it easy,the first thing they will think is that you have a criminal record that's why you changed your surname... secondly changing your name in your bvn will be war..now at different times you will face different issues cus of conflicting names on credentials and valid ID... even with affidavit and legal documents...just ask about changing name in your bvn or nin.. you would see the trouble...it's not worth it..let him maintain his surname...he may not understand until the issues start coming with Documentation in the future
