Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSCDC Recruitment 2019: How To Apply For Nigeria Civil Defence Corps by Ricodine: 12:23pm On Jul 20, 2021
ClassicJohn:
I side with you. A young girl I met just before we went into the hall for the NSCDC test, sat for the Immigration test about 2 days prior.

Within 30 minutes, she walked out of the NSCDC test hall which made me curious. So I asked her if there was any problem when we later met. She said the test was like a revision: she noticed most of the questions from the immigration test were repeated and that only those specific to each agency changed.

Needless to say, she was shortlisted for both. Like in every recruitment process, especially those by government, we cannot take away that element of luck but as pertaining this NSCDC test, those who sat for the immigration test had COMPETITIVE EDGE over those who didn't.

Of course there is still a matter of state performance which we can only assume but I will focus on what is obvious, and that is the fact that there was COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE for those who sat for the Immigration test before the NSCDC test.

Now the focus should be on trusting God for the final and MOST IMPORTANT stage. Good luck to everyone!
Well said, bro! It was 1 day prior actually, and it is exactly what I'm talking about. Because I had written NIS the previous day. I was familiar with the questions. Those answers I was unsure of especially the current affairs, when I got home that day, I looked them up, so I became more confident of my answers during that of NSCDC. Although I expected JAMB to change the questions, they were all repeated apart from the agency-specific questions. This gave me the edge and I was indeed sure of scoring above the 90th percentile. This is not to mock those who weren't selected to proceed, but to express the undeniable fact. May we all succeed in our pursuits.

Competitive Advantage that one was able to cram/know and remember all questions and answers to be sure it was gonna be repeated the next day all under 24 hours...?

I can bet you that so many person's did very well on the "instance of relative performance in various and respective states" but still didn't scale through.. I know some very bright minds that made the list in one but didn't on the other AND I know some "junkies" that made both list without any connect.

Still on my own opinion LUCK to make the RANDOM SELECTION provided one met the average pass mark set by the board played a role here alongside State Performance.

Remember we talking about 50,000 + (that's about 1,380 candidates or applicants from each state) candidates shortlisted/downsized to 6,500.

Congratulations to the LUCKY ones so far...!
I'm not sure you know how HR works, not to talk of a Federal Character principle you call "random". As you have said though, it's just your opinion! However, it shouldn't take one the ability to remember all questions to have a competitive advantage. Recalling and working on 20-30 unsure answers would do it, peace bro!

There are a thousand and 1persons that did so execllently well, brightest of minds but yet weren't selected for the physical screening from the over 50,000 candidates that sat and wrote for the CBAT

If you have been lucky to be selected then THANK GOD. I feel it's more of random selections amongst the best and a thing of LUCK here.
Yes, "lucky" I will agree to an extent and that's still on the instance of relative performance in my State, and not the "random selection" you're talking about. The actual fact here is that in that test, you had a competitive advantage over first-timers. Removing that leverage, perhaps, you wouldn't have done better like in the case of your NIS test.

If it's really by what someone wrote then I and some other should have made the NIS for the Physical Screening I rather made the Civil Defence, Civil Defence came first and same questions were repeated exactly the same, next day for Immigration and I was just smiling inside the hall...

Selections I feel is random, so forget about wetin person write o

If ur name come out jus thank God
It's not true. Immigration came first. You should be the one thanking God more for the second chance which has turned out to favour you. I strongly believe candidates were selected based on their performance vis-à-vis State's performance.

What I meant was that doctors and pharmacists in NIS are placed under CONPASS compared to sister agencies like NCoS & NSCDC who place them under CONMESS and CONHESS. Why is that so?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigeria Immigration Service 2020 Recruitment by Ricodine: 3:15pm On Jun 13, 2021
Seems as though pay in the individual paramilitary agency is different despite being under CONPASS. For instance, if you search for NCoS and NSCDC recruitment adverts, you'll notice that SC (doctors) and DSC (pharmacists) are placed under CONMESS and COHESS respectively, whereas, NIS put them under CONPASS 11 & 10.

NIS is sending texts to candidates whose screening dates have been changed. Received mine this morning.

Those people that have screening on 27th n 28th June should check on 27 n 28 of may maybe is a mistake...

Their signal/circular stated 24th my - 17th june
That circular is fake bro. There are reasons why it is, and the intelligent ones would spot them easily. So guys, go for your screening on the date that appears on your invitation. Work with the information you receive directly from NIS, don't be gullible.

If you are close to Pako b/stop, go to Sholanke str, ask for the mini buses (korope) park where they load Onipanu. From Onipanu b/stop cross to the other side of the Ikorodu xpressway (you may want to use the pedestrian bridge). Behind the Total filling station, you'll find buses loading Oshodi under-bridge. From Oshodi board Ikeja along, but tell the conductor you're dropping off at PWD b/stop. Hope it helps, good luck!

Good morning everyone,

Please how to I get to this location(in attached pic) from Mowe?
PWD is along Ikeja-Oshodi expressway. I believe you'll get a bus going to Oshodi straight from Mowe. PWD is the b/stop when you're going to the airport.

Thanks2God:
Am a living witness to this statement.
A good of candidates on this thread got shortlisted. Which is a clear sign of Fairness to a good extent.

All the NIS WhatsApp/Facebook group I belong has at least some of group shortlisted.
Bless you for this input. Thank you for joining me to make it known that for this NIS recruitment so far and perhaps other recruitments currently ongoing or likely to occur in the future, that ordinary people still get government jobs on merit in Nigeria, without knowing anybody.

Lol..... I'm not opposed to them, they can do whatever they like. I only referenced to the person I quoted that if he wasn't picked, he won't see it as fair which is just the truth. So conclude whatever you wish from my comment.
Actually, I am whom you quoted, and it isn't the truth. But as you have allowed me the freedom, you too are free to make your conclusions as you wish. Shalom!

You would definitely say it's transparent because you were picked, if you weren't you'll certainly have a different sentiment. If they really want to be transparent, they would have released the cbt results and publish the names on the dailies along side so everyone will know whatsoever criteria they used.
Where's this coming from? You weren't opposed to their methods when you were shortlisted for the exam. Only to come up to fault the same method because your application wasn't successful this time. Well done oo

Let us know our fate
Pipe down with the hasty generalisation bro. A good number of the ASI category was shortlisted including me without any connection. Indeed and in truth, the board has lived up to its assurance of '"fairness" and "transparency" in the recruitment. No be everything be man-know-man. Kudus to the board!

6/24 means that you need to be 6 feet away to see an object that people can normally see from 24 feet away.

He even said they're deliberating on the cut-off. Keyword: deliberating.

a4olabisamuel:
Bro...Beleive me if the information is not correct in it its totality....Something there will likely be true.

It might be date or venue or the number of applicants.

He once said 80% will be the cut off for second test , although that was a miss, but the date for second test he gave was accurate.

He has tried!

May God continue to ease our affairs.

I have been suspecting this handle for some time now. Initially, the moniker was stylishly trying to attract members of this group and NIS to slot buying, but now has come in the open. So guys beware oo, don't fall for cheap ploys and scams!

It's better said than experienced bro!
Bro, trust me, you're not alone oo. But for us and posterity sake, we should rather challenge the status quo in the ways we can than encouraging it to continue. Two wrongs cannot make a right!

Even the board is no longer called CDFIPB. It's CDCFIB, a new nomenclature because of the change of Prisons to Correctional.
