Funny thing is Igbos still take them as small gods. When they say go to school, you will say you want to come to Lagos to do business. When you reach Lagos, na Tinubu wahala you go carry for head. How will you make progress has the baby that was "stolen" by an ifa priest being returned. the worst thing is yorubas still see aregbeshola as a god. when they say go to school, you go there and bribe you way through exams, when you become unemployable you come online and rANT. |

Shymm3x: Brev, in as much as I have only lived in one country - I grew up around different folks, from different cultures. I understand how the average Jamaican is. Jamaican might be a tad over the top most times and, some of them might not like African folks (due to slavery or whatever prejudice) - but the average Jamaican understands decency/fairness/co-existence/loyalty. And once they see you as a brother - the brotherhood would always be thicker than water. Ditto Pakistanis who're the Asian version of Jamaicans (went to Uni in an area they dominate and did a lot of things with them).
However, with naij folks - everything is about wickedness, self-centeredness, cheating, being diabolic, and being criminal-minded. Why? And they're always brazen and unremorseful, with inane sense of entitlement to everything, even things that they're not entitled to.
Just take a look at the muthaphucka with tiger claws on his face and how he ra.ped the chic like he's entitled to fvcking her. And he showed no remorse. If he had mental problems, then you'd give him a little bit of a pass. But this guy acted like the typical Nigerian and how Nigerians interact with folks. I honestly won't be surprised if a lot Nigerians start getting killed everywhere soon. Folks have been saying naija folks are the worst people on this planet for time, but I never took them seriously till I got my wake up call. I had my own experience and I should've taken the lives of the two pricks, but I just didn't. And killing someone is the easiest thing to do, once something triggers it. Nigerians need a re-orientation, and Nigeria created these folks - they're a product of their environment. you keep pulling out sh1tty opinions from your phat ar53. |

jaybee3: Buhari doesn't have a choice and we aren't in a military era where he has total/absolute control
They will definitely go for the best possible approach but are the militants open to constructive dialogue and lasting solution? remember we are dealing with extremely greedy militants who are in it for the pocket/stomach alone when you make concessions and invite them to dialogue and they refuse the terms then you can be talking from a moral high ground, whoever loses the moral high ground first, loses the war. |
Politics › Re: Why Buhari Must Handle Tompolo With Tact by rigarmortis: 2:52pm On Jul 24, 2015 |
jaybee3: That was exactly what he said he was going to do at the eagle square with his inaugural speech.
He said and i quote "The amnesty programme in the Niger Delta is due to end in December, but the Government intends to invest heavily in the projects, and programmes currently in place. I call on the leadership and people in these areas to cooperate with the State and Federal Government in the rehabilitation programmes which will be streamlined and made more effective. As ever, I am ready to listen to grievances of my fellow Nigerians. I extend my hand of fellowship to them so that we can bring peace and build prosperity for our people. - "

What else do you want him to do?
Nigerian state cannot simply afford to keep ignoring the root cause of all these problems. The people that need real development are the common Niger delta folks not Mend well, I agree with you on the bolded, but you know how inconsistent buhari is, both in speech and action, I wont start listing some of them here to avoid the risk of needless repetition. buhari seems to live in his own world (somewhere between 1962-1979) and lacks the tact that diplomacy requires to solve issues as this, forget all the nice speeches, he didn't write them and was just repeating a well (or badly.....depending on the importance you place on syntax) essay. |

jaybee3: 1. why don't you engage her in a more constructive way instead of throwing your toys outta the pram
2. So let me ask, what would you do different if you were Mr President? 1. daughterfucker, do you know what happens to knights in shining armour, they impaled on their swords, have their head chopped off and their body fed on by maggots and vultures while the villain fvkcs the damsel to stupor. 2. you cant use force for tompolo, it can never work, It has never worked, and Nigeria cant afford to wage a two sided war at this time, the terrain is quite different, the war will be in the creeks which is home to this boys, they navigate the creeks like no other would, their targets? not human, churches etc but economic sabotage, oil pipelines and such, with the dwindling price of oil now, Nigeria cant afford to lose barrels/money per to sabotage. lastly with all the firepower and navigation skills at this guys proposals, they control the sale of bunkered oil, even troops sent down there watch them while they do this, they either take their cut and watch or die trying to fight, and most choose the later option. Nigeria cant afford the cost, human, capital, infrastructural, moral and economic costs of such war when the world price is as now and boko are wrecking havoc up north. the best buhari can do now compromise and play for time while taking everything inch by inch, tilting the rules and playing field tactically to GRADUALLY gain more ground. if he can negotiate with boko, then he should by all means do so with tompolo, after a while he should renegotiate the terms of the contract, use diplomatic means is to hedge and play for time, that's the summary. with all t |
