As far as I am concerned, there is no need for replacing a graven Image I whatever name. But this is ISRAEL showing its nature of Peace. The Madness and Wickedness in this Generation is Fearful. Christians with FLESH and BLOOD are wasted on daily basis in Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Nigeria etc. Aljazeera and terrorists mob do not care talk less of showing Concern. Same with the Arab world. few days the whole world was outraged by the footage of an IDF soldier vandalizing a statue of Jesus in southern Lebanon. It is important for you to know that the IDF condemned this serious act and that an overwhelming majority of the Israeli people also condemn and are ashamed of it. But I think this is an opportunity to talk about hypocrisy in the Arab world, because while they echoed this story with headlines on Al Jazeera and voices of shock on Arab social networks, I want to remind you of this video which is also from Lebanon—only in this case it involves Muslim residents in Lebanon who vandalized the statue of Jesus due to a conflict with the local Christian residents. Why in this case did the world not condemn or respond? Why did they not address Hezbollah turning a Christian church into a terror base? Why did they not address the massacre Christians are enduring in Syria? Why did they not address the Christian population in Gaza that is being wiped out? They simply do not really care about the Christians; they only care about attacking the IDF! (Yoseph Haddad)

Yesterday, like the overwhelming majority of Israelis, I was stunned and saddened to learn that an IDF soldier damaged a Catholic religious icon in southern Lebanon. I condemn the act in the strongest terms. Military authorities are conducting a criminal probe of the matter and will take appropriately harsh disciplinary action against the offender. While Christians are being slaughtered in Syria and Lebanon by Muslims, the Christian population in Israel thrives unlike elsewhere in the Middle East. Israel is the only country in the region that the Christian population and standard of living is growing. Israel is the only place in the Middle East that adheres to freedom of worship for all. We express regret for the incident and for any hurt this has caused to believers in Lebanon and around the world.
