The Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign
State of Biafra (MASSOB) has said that Biafran
state is a Godly nation that cannot afford to
ward off men of God like W. F. Kumuyi from
preaching in the land of Biafra.

It, therefore, warned those involved in the
campaign of calumny through their pocket radio
broadcast, in the name of Radio Biafra, against
Kumuyi’s crusade in Abia State, to desist from
the act or face the wrath of God.

MASSOB stated this in Umuahia, Abia State capi­
tal, through Ansalem Ogbonna, the Umuahia
North Information Coordinator of the
movement.

Ogbonna said it came to their notice that some
unscrupulous people, who were not MASSOB
members, were in the comfort of their homes or
cars, dishing out, in an uncultured languages,
information that MASSOB would not want Pastor
William Kumuyi to come to Abia and preach the
gospel of Jesus Christ.

He said the movement was therefore, exonerat­
ing itself from such act and called on security
operatives to arrest and deal with such people
according to the law of the land.

“It has come to our notice that some unscrupu­
lous persons have been broadcasting and
threatening the man of God who is coming to
Umuahia on a missionary journey. We want to
make it categorically clear that MASSOB is not
part of the campaign against W. F. Kumuyi
coming to preach the gospel in Biafra land
(Abia), because Biafra is a Godly nation,”
Ogbonna said.

He urged the public to disregard such
information, stating that there was a time they
worked with someone, who was broadcasting for
them, but that when they discovered that he was
not actually coordinated, due to the way he was
insulting people on air including members of the
movement, they sacked him in 2010.

MASSOB, he said was not a deviant or violent or­
ganisation and could not afford to accommodate
any one who did not have respect for the good
people of Biafra and her neighbours.

“We are a peaceful and Godly nation that wel­
comes men of God on a missionary work, so, we
are behind Kumuyi and his team coming to
preach here. We don’t have anything to do with
those dishing out such information on the air,”
Ogbonna said.
