nairalanda1: Personally, I hate APC, PDP, LP and NNPP and wish Nigerians voted them out. Obi is just like tinubu, buhari, atiku and kwankwaso. I would rather vote for Emeka from Onitsha than Obi. At the end, we need to vote the establishment out. Supporting them because we think they are our saviours is why we are here.
All Sowore has to do is to get the youths united behind a common goal. Not just Sowore...even folks like you should you decide to run.
At the end, Nigeria is a country of varied interests and varied ideas. That is why we never have had a united youth movement.
Many of you Southerners were silent when PDP was rigging, and many Northerners were silent when APC was ''rigging.
If you want change, you have to call for it even when the rigging favours you.
And anyway, rigging does not happen because you guys are not ready for change...yes, including you. Obi is like tiniubu the same old.
That obi lost because the oppositon was divided vs a united APC. So because u think we were silent when PDP rigged, so APC should now rigged with reckless abandon🤣🤣 I was among those that stood behind Oshiomole in edo state when Obasenjo rigged him out in 2007 and installed the PDP guy as governor. We protested under the rains and sun until oshiomole got his mandate back only for him to join the crooks he fought against. This is one of the reasons i dont trust Sowore. He will end up worst like yahaya bello of kogi. Let him go and prove himself first before wanting us to support him. Obi have proven himself and we trust him to deliver |

nairalanda1: Even then, he won't win. At the end, flaws or no flaws, the election was properly conducted.
Also, Obi did not win.Let's be honest. I speak as someone who really did not want APC to win, and wanted them out. Obi did not win, and he knows it. The reason why he is crying rigging is Nigerians , don't know how to accept defeat. If Tinubu lost too, he would have done the same.
I've stopped believing in rigging allegations since the 2003 election, where I saw politicians who came from small parties allege rigging. And due to a host of other factors. Nigerians vote for what they know. 🤣🤣 I understand what u are trying to do but u cant cornered us LP won and won squarely. Go to IREV and see how most of the results were doctored. I did analysis of River state result on IREV what i saw was shocking. Obi seriously have case Rivers alone have shown the election was well rigged to favour APC. U can go to IREV to find out yourself. If APC actually won, why did INEC refused LP and Obi access to the BVAs when the court said they should be given access? What was INEC trying to hide? Why did INEC refused them to be around when the BVAs were been reconfigured? How come only the presidential election results wasn't uploaded that day? One month plus after, INEC is still yet to complete the uploading of the results on IREV, so where do dey see the results dey declared? If u are being sincere to yourself, those are the questions u should be asking. If Tinubu actually won this election without all these irregularities, most of us would have moved on But we will never allowed this daylight robbery and rape of our democracy to stand. Anybody that loves Nigeria must speak out. Except u love ur tribe more than Nigeria. |

If you understand statistics so well as you claimed, you will understand that what you just generated is an estimate not the accurate figure.
It's also important to get a representative sample rather than get a sample that is skewed so that your analysis can follow a normal distribution. Else, what you just generated will have standard deviation greater than zero, skewness greater than zero, and kurtosis less than 3 or greater than 3.
I will like to ask the confidence interval for this your result?
What is the standard error?
It is an estimate and we cannot say for sure how accurate your estimate is. I believe your data is skewed to places where peter obi got majority of his votes. Politics › Re: Interim Government: Fani-kayode Urges DSS To Arrest Atiku, Peter Obi by rippa(m): 2:14pm On Mar 30, 2023 |
Bobloco: A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Femi Fani-Kayode has urged the Department of State Services, DSS to arrest the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party, LP counterpart, Peter Obi over alleged call for an interim government instead of handing over power to the democratically elected president on May 29th.
Fani-Kayode made this plea o the DSS in a statement, titled, “Arrest the Rebels and Treasonable Subversives!” issued via his verified Twitter handle o Thursday.
Recall that DSS had earlier raised the alarm over an ongoing plot by some key political players in the country to install an interim government.
The Spokesman for the DSS, Dr. Peter Afunanya, revealed the step-by-step ways key political players are planning to effect their plans, in a statement made available to Vanguard.
According to him, the planners, in their many meetings, have weighed various options, which include, sponsoring endless violent mass protests in major cities to warrant a declaration of State of Emergency. Again, the service said they are planning to obtain frivolous court injunctions to forestall the inauguration of new executive administrations and legislative houses at the Federal and State levels.
But, Fani-Kayode described the calls for an interim government by members of the opposition as outrageous, subversive, and dangerous, adding that, “but they are also acts of treason, rebellion, and insurrection.”
“We have warned about these sinister plots and plans for months and well before the presidential elections, but no one took us seriously and it was to no avail. Now the signs are obvious and ominous and it is clear that there is something evil afoot.
“It is heartwarming and encouraging that the DSS, as alive to their duties as ever, finally issued a statement yesterday in which they vindicated us.
“This is vital in order for us to protect and save our democracy from those that seek to truncuate it and establish an unconstitutional form of Government in its stead.
“It is incumbent upon us all as democrats to speak out in support of the DSS and to help them thwart the evil plans of the unscrupulous conspirators, dangerous plotters, unpatriotic elements and fascistic forces that want to topple our Government and abort the democratic process.
“Those of us that are politicians and that still believe in democracy must stop being lazy, cowardly, undiscerning, insensitive and complacent in the face of this challenge.
We must appreciate the fact that there is a major play going in on the background and it is not yet uhuru. We must stop pretending that we do not know what is going on and we must desist from sitting on the fence and hedging our bets.
“We must rise to the occasion that this challenge and very real danger and threat presents and we must defend and preserve democracy by resisting the forces of chaos, anarchy and tyranny.
“As a senior citizen, a former public office holder, a public figure and a major stakeholder in the Asiwaju project, I can no longer sit by idly and stomach this. It would be irresponsible and cowardly to do so,” he said.
The former Minister of Aviation further stated, “For 16 years, from 1983 till 1999, many of us fought against military rule and paid a high price in that fight. Others that came before us fought it between 1966 and 1979. They also paid a high price.
“During the course of all those years many suffered, many were tortured, many were exiled, many lost everything, many were destroyed, many were jailed and many were martyred.
“These young ones that are protesting have no idea about the inherent horrors of military rule and what it really means because they were not born when the soldiers held sway in our country and they do not know the indignities and bondage that we were subjected to as a people during the course of those years,” he said.
According to Fani-Kayode, the fact that some are openly calling for a return to those dark days gives deep concern.
He noted that the last thing we need in our country today is military intervention, a military coup d’etat, or any other form of unconstitutional Government including an Interim National Government.
Against the backdrop of the alleged plot of the interim government, however, a lawyer and scholar on violent extremism, Bulama Bukarti, has described the move as criminal, unconstitutional, and punishable by death.
Bukarti stated this in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday.
He said, “This move is undemocratic, it’s illegal, and it’s unconstitutional. Section 1 of our constitution is very clear that no part of Nigeria can be ruled other than by constitutional means and the only means recognised by the constitution is for people to win an election and
to be duly inaugurated by the authorities stipulated by the law.
“And therefore, it’s unconstitutional, it’s also criminal because what these people are planning is potentially what is called treason under our criminal laws and it’s punishable by death it carries the death penalty, which shows that it’s one of the most heinous crimes in Nigeria.”

Politics › Re: Arrest Interim Government Plotters, APC, PDP Tell DSS by rippa(m): 8:54am On Mar 30, 2023 |
iwaeda: The presidential campaign councils of the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party have challenged the Department of State Services to get tough with plotters of the interim national government.
The councils, in separate interviews with The PUNCH on Wednesday in Abuja, said the push for the ING was unconstitutional, adding that the plotters should be arrested.
They spoke against the backdrop of a statement issued by the security agency that some people were plotting the ING.
The DSS had earlier on Wednesday raised the alarm over a plot by some Nigerians to thwart the May 29 inauguration of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
My Pastoral Work Doesn't Stop Me From Singing Secular Music - Ogun Cleric | Punch The DSS, in a statement in Abuja by its Spokesman, Dr Peter Afunanya, alleged that those behind the plot planned to undermine civil rule and foist an interim government on the country.
The Independent National Electoral Commission had on March 1 declared Tinubu the winner of the February 25 presidential election.
The APC presidential candidate polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who got 6,984,520 votes and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi that had 6,101,533 votes.
A day after the result was declared, Atiku and Obi at separate press conferences on March 2 rejected the outcome on the grounds that the election was rigged.
Also, a former Anambra State Governor Chukwuemeka Ezeife, stated that Tinubu would not be sworn in as President.
Speaking on Channels Television on March 23, the vice-presidential candidate of the LP, Datti Baba-Ahmed, said the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, must not swear in Tinubu on May 29.
Some protesters under the aegis of the Free Nigeria Movement on Tuesday last week, asked the President, Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) to annul the February 25 presidential election and set up an interim government.
But hundreds of pro-Tinubu protesters, under the aegis of ‘The Natives’, stormed the streets of Abuja on Monday, warning against the imposition of an ING.
However, in the statement it issued on Wednesday, the DSS said it had identified some key players in the plot for an ING.
It stated, “The service considers the plot, being pursued by these entrenched interests, as not only an aberration but a mischievous way to set aside the constitution and undermine civil rule as well as plunge the country into an avoidable crisis. The illegality is totally unacceptable in a democracy and to the peace-loving Nigerians.’’
The security agency alleged that the plot was taking place after the peaceful conduct of the elections in most parts of the country.
It added, “The planners, in their many meetings, have weighed various options, which include, among others, to sponsor endless violent mass protests in major cities to warrant a declaration of State of Emergency. Another is to obtain frivolous court injunctions to forestall the inauguration of new executive administrations and legislative houses at the federal and state levels.
“The DSS supports the President and Commander-in-Chief in his avowed commitment to a hitch-free handover and will assiduously work in this direction. It also supports the Presidential Transition Council and other related bodies in the states.’’
The DSS added that it would collaborate with PTC and other law enforcement agencies to ensure seamless inaugurations in May.
Consequently, the Service strongly warns those organising to thwart democracy in the country to retract from their devious schemes and orchestrations.
“Stakeholders, notably judicial authorities, media and the Civil Society, are enjoined to be watchful and cautious to avoid being used as instruments to subvert peace and stability of the nation.
“While its monitoring continues, the DSS will not hesitate to take decisive and necessary legal steps against these misguided elements to frustrate their obnoxious intentions,’’ it further warned.
Commenting on the plot, the Director of Strategic Communications for the APC PCC, Idris Mohammed, said the DSS should arrest the plotters.
Mohammed warned that the APC PCC would go all out to ensure nothing hinders a smooth swearing-in of Tinubu.
He said, “The APC PCC is aligned with the position of the DSS, which we believe is doing its job. If this statement is coming directly from the DSS itself, it means that it is not an empty allegation. In any case, we believe the security agencies are also there to deal with this kind of situation. That is why they are there. Their duty is to thwart any threat against the Nigerian nation. They should react to it and go the extra mile to pin down those also responsible.
DSS identifies politicians behind interim govt plot “We are seeing a pattern which we believe the DSS is also seeing. Otherwise, you cannot as far as call for a coup d’etat and pretend to still believe in democracy.”
APC backs DSS
His position was shared by the Chief Spokesman for the PCC, Festus Keyamo, who noted the statement released by the DSS was not different from an earlier alarm that he raised on potential incitement and subversive plot of some interim government proponents last week.
“The DSS is the super spy of the nation and has a duty to do their work. As you can see, their statement confirmed the alarm I raised earlier about incitement and treasonable felony. This is just to confirm what the APC PCC brought to the notice of the public last week.
Sponsored Stories Unsold 2022 SUVs are almost being given away (see prices) Unsold 2022 SUVs are almost being given away (see prices) Sponsored | SUV Deals | Sponsored “Therefore, it is good that the DSS is even the one raising the alarm about the subversive activities of these people so that when they arrest anybody, no one should start screaming ‘persecution.’ These are people who are too young to know what we passed through at the hands of a military regime. They will see the very thing they think they are fighting against in a military regime. The constitution will be suspended. Fundamental human rights would be non-existent. These kids really don’t understand the gravity of what they are trying to do,” he stated.
Also, the PDP called on the DS to immediately pick up for questioning, the elements pushing for an ING.
The party, through its Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi, expressed worry that the security outfit had yet to arrest such persons for “treason” against the backdrop of the unconstitutionality of an interim government.
Speaking with The PUNCH, Abdullahi said, “They should immediately go after such persons because it is the right thing to do. What are they still waiting for? The interim national government is alien to our constitution and there is no basis for anybody no matter how highly placed to contemplate it.
“Elections have been successfully held both nationally and sub-nationally. Those that are being disputed are already before the courts. So why should anyone come up with this at this material time? The DSS owes Nigerians a duty to act and the time to do so now.
“They should be arrested for treason because that is what it is. Arresting those concerned will act as a deterrent to those with a negative and dangerous mindset for our country.”
LP kicks
But the Chief Spokesman for the Labour Party PCC, Yunusa Tanko, said Nigerians would not be intimidated by the threat of the DSS.
He wondered why it took the security agency this long to start taking proactive measures to prevent chaos when the entire country was seized by ballot snatchers and thugs at the just concluded general elections.
“If truth be told, the LP and Nigerians cannot be intimidated. When the DSS was supposed to have issued a caution, it didn’t do it. It failed to do it and that was what gave impetus to those who wanted to derail the democratic system and run away with it.
“Let me give you an example. When the LP members and supporters were being intimidated in Lagos and denied the right to vote, where was the DSS statement? Our members were maimed and also killed during the campaign period, and the DSS issued no warning. When people were being ethnically profiled at a particular point, where was the DSS? When ballot boxes and the mandate of the people were stolen, they were nowhere to be found.
He challenged the security agency to arrest people behind the plot if it had verifiable facts.
He asked, “Is it after all these heinous crimes have been committed against the people that the DSS is coming out to roar like a lion? It is either the DSS has been compromised or it is just not interested in defending the state. It is also bad enough that the people who make up the state are completely been ignored.
“For us, this particular statement from the security agency is more or less like a threat to the sovereignty of the people. But if it has verifiable facts and evidence as regards those who are planning to subvert the will of democracy, they should not hesitate to bring them out as quickly as possible. But not to intimidate the people when they are trying to fight for their rights,” he said.
Our correspondents gathered that besides the statement it issued, the security agency had put the interim government plotters under watch.
A top official of the DSS, who confided in The PUNCH, said the identified persons were not untouchable, adding that they could face a treasonable charge if arrested.
“The maximum offence such a person could be charged with is a treason felony.”, the source said.
Also a former director of the DSS, Mike Ejiofor said planning to install an interim government is a crime against the state.
He said, “That is a crime against the state. That is pure subversion. Such people might be prosecuted and sent to jail. But we do not have to wait for their prosecution, since they have been identified they should be monitored. The duty of the DSS is detention and prevention of crime against the state. It’s better for us to prevent it than allow it to happen.”
On his part, a retired DSS official and Security and Intelligence Consultant, Adams Abuh said,” That means they are planning to overthrow the government and that is treason felony. That is a serious crime. Their composition also matters. Whether they are made of politicians and military personnel or just politicians also determines the level of their punishment. I believe the DSS are still working on their intelligence and would unravel who they are.”

Buhari - APC - commander of the armed forces Tinubu - APC - INEC president-select - yoruba Muslim CJN - Yoruba muslims appointed by same APC All the service chiefs - appointed by APC led govt DSS DG - a muslim appointed by APC So who is now planning interim govt🤣🤣 This cleary show, APC expected us to head to the street and protest the election so that they can arrest and start killing people via DSS nd thugs and put the blames on Obi, but Obi actually knew their game plan and he begged us to stay back and allow him to handle them. Now they are totally CORNfused 🤣🤣 Again, these are all APC distractions to dampen the moral we have towards retrieving our stolen mandate Lets not fall for it |

matrixme: Abians may not rejoice just yet. There is an uncomfortable friendliness between Otti and Ikpeazu that should worry everyone. No governor in Nigeria congratulates his opponent from another party and wishes him well and even advises his party not to go to court. The smile of a crocodile and the brotherhood of Nigerian politicians are 1 and 2. Even this "rebuke" looks more like a friendly advise. Imagine praying that he spends 8 years... The same Otti was downplaying Obi the other day. Something is definitely fishy. Perhaps they brought the idea of a victory for labour party from their Whatsapp group. Abians may have been scammed! Alex otti contested with ikpeazu in 2015 and 2019 but the structure of PDP rigged otti out. Ikpeazu know otti defeated him in 2015 nd 2019 So when he couldn't rigged this, he just have to give up |

vince2016: LP party primary election form is different from Gubernatorial election form which is that amount,N25M. The only time LP sold ticket for 25million is this imo state election coming up and people criticised it and asked dem to down review it which dey did by reducing it to 15M Nobody sold LP ticket for 25M in 2022 Even 100k, people will not buy. How can u go and invest 25M to a party that dont even have States party chairmen prior to obi joining Does it make sense to u? |
