Don’t you know that Abia and Imo states are Niger Delta States? And by virtue of being Niger Delta States, they’re also “South-South” as your divide and rule masters call it. Let me emphasize to you that another term for “Niger Delta” is “South-South”. So if Abia and Imo states are also “South South” states, why don’t your leaders tell you as well? Na the divide and rule mentality be that.

Abia and Imo are South Eastern states, whether you want to claim Niger Delta or not.

Nobody stopped Igbos from seceding with those states, as those were among the 5 states which Kanu refused, Why? Because even though Abia and Imo are ''Niger Delta states'' by your reckoning, they produce less than 2% of Nigeria's oil.

And we know Kanu wants a lot more than 2%.

I think even Ondo state and Lagos state have more oil than the south-east.

The south-east could well be the most oil-deprived region of the country after Maiduguri.

No wonder y'all so desperate to rope in the real Niger Delta.

Ethnicity was determined by ancestry, not language spoken.

It was the colonialists who created these large ethnic blocs based on language, by fiat in order to prevent the unity of the Africans by creating ethnic divisions, ethnic rivalry, and disunity. The phenomenon of tribalism is a colonial construct.

So retreating to a tribal ''Igbo republic'' is retreating into a BRITISH contraption, known as the ''Igbo tribe'' - a non-existent classification prior to colonial rule.

The Igbos NEVER had any united empire or kingdom before the colonialists came. They never saw Igbo speakers as ''one people''. An Aro man saw himself as an Aro man. Finish. One village saw the next as a different country. They went to war against each other periodically, with casualties.

So which Igbo people are you talking about?

There was no such thing.

The advantage of retaining NIGERIA is its sheer size and wealth.

In today's world market size is everything.

That is why we can have an Innoson, an Air Peace, a Dangote Group, an Ibeto Cement Group. A Zenith Bank. A Glo Corporation.

These HUGE ENTITIES that will lead tomorrow's industrial world, could not have been formed in little countries like Togo and Liberia, Biafra, Gambia, Burkina Faso and Oduduwa Republic etc.

It was the NIGERIAN MARKET of 210 million, that helped build them up.

Nigeria's market size basically GUARANTEES that the nation will be a magnet of investment in coming years, and will become fully developed in the near future.

There is no other way but UP.

If we splinter into little tribal states, we lose the ability to attract the type of dramatic investment levels I'm talking about.

Just look around at the other West African states around you.

They are relatively small and ethnically homogeneous.

Which one of them is El Dorado?

NONE.

Why?

Not because they are not as 'smart' and 'brilliant' as Igbos claim they are, but because of specific market and geo-political factors which would also affect YOUR new republics.

So instead of living in CLOUD CUCKOO LAND of imagining that your new republics will be the new Singapore, Dubai etc, GET REAL, APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE AS NIGERIA, AFRICA'S BIGGEST ECONOMY, learn to live with each other by hook or by crook till you finally get it right, and become the shining light and superpower of AfrIca you are destined to be.

Twitter has gone ALL OUT to make amends with Abuja, over the recent standoff between the US social media giant and the Nigerian Presidency, led by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

Only yesterday they expressed their ''deep concern'' over the ban placed on them by Africa's biggest economy and largest internet ecosystem.

Then yesterday they followed that up with desperate attempts to remove all threatening and offensive posts by Biafran secessionist warlord, Nnamdi Kanu, from their platform.

As if this was not enough, Twitter went on to REMOVE its longstanding 'Support EndSars'' badge on its moniker.

All this fence mending within barely 24 hours of The Nigerian govt announcing the ban of the popular US platform.

This case highlights the validity of the ONE NIGERIA proposition.

The power of this country will be dissipated if it breaks up into these little tribal republics of your small-minded, visionless dreams.

No other African or black nation would be left to stand up to these ...foreigners.

We'd all become Sierra Leone replicas. Ignored and bullied by the rest of the world.

I always wonder why any sane Igbo would want to be in the same country with Nigerians irrespective of tribe. This is one of the issues I have with Nnamdi Kanu's brand of Biafra. I served in Ijawland and I assure you that they, like most minorities are nothing like Igbo. In fact, they remind me of the North more than Igbos because these are people who see the government as a source of livelihood, unlike we, Igbo who do not even know if there are allocations coming into our states via Federal government. What I mean is that these people have no drive like we do. They have insipid dependency on the state just like the Northerners. That is why you see them shouting oil...oil. These are rather people that would pull Igbo backwards the way Nigeria has pulled us backwards.

Every objective person knows that given a level playing fiield, that there is no Nigerian tribe, in fact, no African tribe that has our sort of drive. Why then do we need an amalgam of tribes with Igbo? I think the best of concession that Igbo should make is even among a few Akwa Ibom tribes that have the similar traits of hardwork and who we have ancestral affinity with such as the Ibibio, Annang and Efik. Even at that, it must be subject to plebiscite. They must be eager to join us as seen in their seriousness in agitating for Biafra. Otherwise, I think an ONLY IGBO country is the best. These crude oil fixated tribes actually have nothing to offer Igbo. Also, Ikwerre must be left out of an Igbo country. They're better off with the Fulani and Nigeria where they should continue their bickering and genocides,

An Only Igbo country comprising Igbo in Bayelsa, Cross Rivers, Rivers (apart from Ikwerre), Akwa Ibom, Benue, Edo, Delta and Kogi is the real deal. In practice, we must understand that we do not need all these oil dependent tribes. they are an ill wind that won't blow us good.

Dude, until you understand that the people who push for Biafra do not care ONE HOOT about an ''Igbo nation'', the better for you.

That nationalist crap is just something your secessionist leaders like Ojukwu and Kanu and IPOB use to blind you, the Igbo masses, to their real intent - the seizure of the Niger Delta oil fields by and for that small, rogue group of Igbo elite formed by Ojukwu, under the guise of ''Biafran self-determination''.

This is why they never seem to care how many Igbos are killed in their 'wars' and 'uprisings'. 2 million, 3 million, 5 million, no problem.

That makes Nigeria an investment magnet of the first order.

Nigeria CAN afford to shun any investor that does not play by Nigerian rules.

They are many more on the queue.

One more thing. This is one reason why Nigeria will NEVER allow itself to ''break up''.

It's economic size, and it's power to influence other nations and corporate entities is too precious and valuable to be dismantled.
