‘Not The Solution’

Anything less than winning the next AFCON competition should be the target set for Rohr and the next national coach should be employed at local level.

University of California annual budget is almost Nigeria's annual budget in the last few years. Budget for Education and research only. There are three States in US that are richer than France. The 3% digital tax placed in 2019 on Google, Amazon and Facebook by France is purely for commercial purposes and Trump complained. You run a mono economy based mainly on Niger Delta oil ,you are comparing Nigeria GDP with South Africa with very little population and heavy infrastructure and industries and budget that is almost four times that of Nigeria in some years.

Do you even know the relationship between budget and population of a country and development indices ? You cannot cutoff Nigerians from global social platforms and try to bring cattle rearer nomadic economic theory here. You cannot compare Dangote Industries -a conglomerate developed from commonwealth of Nigerian resources to a technology platform. There are conglomerates in US that are richer than some States in Nigeria.

Late Henry Boyo (rip) did a lot. The nomadic economic theory never allowed his work to be seen. Bismarck Rewane, Charles SOLUDO and others are here trying their best. There are a lot of things that Lagos can do to help improve and blaze the trail for Nigeria

A few of these are (note these problems are common throughout the country)

- Cover open gutters
There is no reason for Lagos to still have kpotopoto poo and pee mix with algae gutters open to the public.

-Enforce traffic laws
I don’t mean officers just standing at junctions, because most traffic infractions happen on the move and not while stationary. So you need a mobile force to PATROL and Pull Over malefactors. I once told someone that in the U.S, you can’t change lanes without using your signal and he didn’t believe me. The devil as the day is in the details. You can not overlook things like people driving on lanes, in the bush path, not using signals, and expect to have an orderly traffic situation, it will NEVER EVER HAPPEN.

-Reduce hawking/begging on streets
This one is kinda hard, cause of the economic situation in the country, but it will be disastrous in the long term to have so many out of school children live their lives on the streets chasing after cars.

-Provide Pipe Borne Water
A lot of houses already have boreholes for water, but a lot also don’t have this. It would be nice to provide one of the most basic infrastructure to the people in the form of pipe borne water.

All in all Lagos and the rest of our lands will continue to improve, and hopefully in leaps and bounds with the right leadership in place.

You're wasting your time with Nigerian youths. Many are follow-follow complainers who want to be spoonfed and don't believe they have the power to deliver solutions and the change they want.

I asked the same precise question you now do on a previous thread. The lack of response only shows that Nigerian youths themselves know what they are in the majority.

I.e worthless, lazy and never ready to be part of the process of solution delivery. They all have an entitlement mentality without realising our nation is too troubled and too needful of innovative solutions from everyone for us all to just dump everything on a few people we elected as leaders and assume will do everything include wipe our asses for us.

Should Nigerian youths be complaining of twitter ban or should they actually see developments as an opportunity to quickly fill the gap the absence of Twitter has created?
