discusant: A president told the world through Twitter that he does not regret the genocide in his country during the Nigeria vs Biafra war; and swore that he was willing to repeat the same genocide.
The alert world caught president Buhari’s ugly message and deleted it. He thought he heads a sovereign country and can do anything in the country.
Hiding under the phrase: “Nigeria, a sovereign country,” Buhari and his cabal may even be willing to go to war against the US Buhari doesn’t seem to understand that sovereignty was conferred upon Nigeria by the UN where the US and other world powers pull the string. That sovereignty clause for Nigeria can easily be removed by these super powers of the world. DUMB SLAVE.

Your naivety is amazing.
You actually think that BENIN REPUBLIC and CAMEROON can replace the supply chain of food from the north to take over the feeding of 140 million+ people in southern Nigeria?
Where the hell is their capacity to do such a thing?

OBASANJO SAID: ‘Not The Solution’ But Mr Obasanjo, who noted that Nigeria’s diversity remained a major source of its strength, explained that disintegration would result in “weak republics”.
“One thing that gives us strength is our diversity. If all that we have is Republic of Oduduwa for those who say so, members of that country will be diminished compared to being a citizen of Nigeria.
“Citizens of Oduduwa Republic or any other republic borne out of Nigeria will be diminished compared to being citizens of Nigeria.
“In this age and time that we are talking about the reintegration of Africa for economic development, disintegration of any country will be almost idiotic,” he said.
The former president wondered what would become of the over 300 minorities in Nigeria if the three major tribes went their separate ways.
“If we have Igboland as an independent country, Yorubaland, an independent country, and Fulani/Hausaland an independent country, where will the Jukuns or the Gbasama belong?
“The only reason they can raise up their heads is because they belong to Nigeria.
“Are we thinking of them or are we are just being selfish? We should note that. It doesn’t matter what we do, we will still be neighbours.
“We had seen it before, India was broken into India and Pakistan, they are still at war till today. “Yugoslavia was broken into different countries, they haven’t sorted it till today. “Sudan was broken into Sudan and South Sudan, I don’t believe South Sudan is better for it and that is the truth,” he said. Exact same thing I've been saying on this forum for months. You break up Nigeria, you diminish yourselves into little weak republics like Sierra Leone, with zero guarantee of prosperity. |

scoredcard247: - Cameroon vs Nigeria did not produce any goals in their second friendly game played in Austria
- Both sides settled for a 0-0 scoreline and the Indomitable Lions had a game advantage better than the Super Eagles
- Gernot Rohr has won just five out of his 19 friendly matches since he became technical adviser of the national team
Cameroon vs Nigeria ended in a goalless draw as the Indomitable Lions had a best out of two legs, winning one and drawing the other.
On the part of the Super Eagles, it is a time to reflect and go back to the drawing boards to re-strategize the players’ performances.
With the Nation Cup six months away, Nigeria are still lagging behind in terms of blending the whole squad to become strong contenders for the soccer fiesta in January 2022.
Gernot Rohr’s men will begin their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign against Liberia in September 1, and will take on Cape Verde four years later.
The fact about the three-time African champions is that they have not won in their last nine friendlies and since the appointment of Rohr, he has only managed five wins out of 19 test games.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) should also pay attention to friendly games not only qualifiers and tournaments.
With the quality of foreign stars in Rohr’s possession, the German gaffer has no excuse to lose some crucial test matches even if a few of the players are not present in the team.
Some African and European countries are not blessed with the amount of talents scattered in all the top leagues in Europe, but they still manage to form formidable squad.
Being the longest serving coach of the national team, Rohr should not be handled with kids glove when executing matches in any capacity for the Super Eagles.
During the era of indigenous coaches, they were not give much time to groom a team to perfection. In fact they work under intense pressure and criticisms from the footballing body and fans.
Rohr could not qualify Nigeria beyond the first round at the 2018 World Cup while the late Stephen Keshi won the AFCON 2013 and with the same squad qualified into the round of 16 at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Late Shuaibu Amodu won two AFCON bronze with the Super Eagles at the 2002 and 2008 AFCON and qualified the team to the South Africa 2010 World Cup, only to be sacked for Swedish Lars Lagerback before the tournament.
Anything less than winning the next AFCON competition should be the target set for Rohr and the next national coach should be employed at local level.

Politics › Re: Twitter Ban: Facebook, Instagram Must Register As Businesses In Nigeria – FG by Rissimenky: 12:17am On Jun 10, 2021 |
babaolofin: Will You stop disgracing yourself here. What has Twitter revenue got to do with Nigeria's budget ? You are talking about purchasing power parity, what has that got to do here? Is budget not an estimate of income and expenditure ? The purchasing power of an individual is dependent on Per Capital Income. With our budget deficit , budget financed most of the times from borrowing and large population with parasites nations of Niger and Chad that are not accounted for, what is the per capita income of an average Nigerian?.
University of California annual budget is almost Nigeria's annual budget in the last few years. Budget for Education and research only. There are three States in US that are richer than France. The 3% digital tax placed in 2019 on Google, Amazon and Facebook by France is purely for commercial purposes and Trump complained. You run a mono economy based mainly on Niger Delta oil ,you are comparing Nigeria GDP with South Africa with very little population and heavy infrastructure and industries and budget that is almost four times that of Nigeria in some years.
Do you even know the relationship between budget and population of a country and development indices ? You cannot cutoff Nigerians from global social platforms and try to bring cattle rearer nomadic economic theory here. You cannot compare Dangote Industries -a conglomerate developed from commonwealth of Nigerian resources to a technology platform. There are conglomerates in US that are richer than some States in Nigeria.
Late Henry Boyo (rip) did a lot. The nomadic economic theory never allowed his work to be seen. Bismarck Rewane, Charles SOLUDO and others are here trying their best. If it's not Cryptocurrency today, it is Twitter tomorrow, next week Patanmi may say nobody should use GSM phones again. How are we going to escape from nomadic lifestyle and principles ?
The Nigerian economy would not have gotten to this level if the IT penetration is not deepened through these social platforms and resilience of the youths. Nigeria has not grown to the level of censorship of technology platform except you want to run an Islamic state extremists system, shutting citizens from outside world and caging of intellect.
When the North was in power through military, Nigeria communication was shut off. No Internet, Nitel monopoly through the North denied 95% of Nigerians from communication.
You want to start that again under Buhari ? Baba Akande, Tinubu, Fashola, Akeredolu, this is not what you told us. What is this mad, aimless rant about?
Everything you've typed here is completely IRRELEVANT to the topic, which is Nigeria versus Twitter.
Go look somewhere else to give your scatterbrain lecture. |

VaselineCrew: There are a lot of things that Lagos can do to help improve and blaze the trail for Nigeria
A few of these are (note these problems are common throughout the country)
- Cover open gutters There is no reason for Lagos to still have kpotopoto poo and pee mix with algae gutters open to the public.
-Enforce traffic laws I don’t mean officers just standing at junctions, because most traffic infractions happen on the move and not while stationary. So you need a mobile force to PATROL and Pull Over malefactors. I once told someone that in the U.S, you can’t change lanes without using your signal and he didn’t believe me. The devil as the day is in the details. You can not overlook things like people driving on lanes, in the bush path, not using signals, and expect to have an orderly traffic situation, it will NEVER EVER HAPPEN.
-Reduce hawking/begging on streets This one is kinda hard, cause of the economic situation in the country, but it will be disastrous in the long term to have so many out of school children live their lives on the streets chasing after cars.
-Provide Pipe Borne Water A lot of houses already have boreholes for water, but a lot also don’t have this. It would be nice to provide one of the most basic infrastructure to the people in the form of pipe borne water.
All in all Lagos and the rest of our lands will continue to improve, and hopefully in leaps and bounds with the right leadership in place. Very intelligent analysis. Thanks for this. |

You're wasting your time with Nigerian youths. Many are follow-follow complainers who want to be spoonfed and don't believe they have the power to deliver solutions and the change they want.
I asked the same precise question you now do on a previous thread. The lack of response only shows that Nigerian youths themselves know what they are in the majority.
I.e worthless, lazy and never ready to be part of the process of solution delivery. They all have an entitlement mentality without realising our nation is too troubled and too needful of innovative solutions from everyone for us all to just dump everything on a few people we elected as leaders and assume will do everything include wipe our asses for us.
Should Nigerian youths be complaining of twitter ban or should they actually see developments as an opportunity to quickly fill the gap the absence of Twitter has created?

If the President had handled the herders-farmers conflict the same way he handled his deleted post on twitter, maybe just maybe there wouldn't have been and killing in the east Have you any idea how many Nigerian soldiers have been lost fighting Boko Haram in the north?
