Obviously, you have issue with Samuel Okon Peter. The first Nigerian to be crowned a heavyweight champion, maybe the only Nigerian yet, because AJ is more of British than Nigeria.
They are talking about the recent great boxers.
That man that first made Nigeria proud would have been there...

Okonjo-Iweala must have said that to make it easy for her to get favours from the Buhari administration. Moreover how does the borrowing then compare with the amount borrowed now with zero socioeconomic impact?
Nigeria was down in 2014 when Okonjo began to borrow billions to pay workers because oil began to sell for 78 dollars.
They were doing 2 million plus b/d of oil at around 120-150 dollars for more than 4 years..
There were ASUU strikes and all sorts of strikes that lingered and the worst was borrowing money with the trillons Nigeria made from oil during that period. In the history of Nigeria,no govt ever made that humongous revenue.

I have told you that they couldn't manage the economy again when the price of oil went down to 78 dollars, that is how clueless they were.
Today,oil is 62 dollars.
Who is better?
Stop being a mediocre,sir.

Mr Edun is managing the economy better with oil at 61 dollars,1.4 to 1.5 million b/d.
Paying workers when due.Trippling govs revenues...most of them are paying their debts and executing laudable projects.
Nigeria has paid off 41 billion dollars debt, settled the 30 trillion ways and means of Buhari, settled the 7 billion dollars of the foreign airlines,GDP last growth was 3.something even better than Britain and some Western nations and above all, things are beginning to ease(Things went awry because of the removal of oil subsidy which Nigeria was borrowing money to sustain).

Jonathan was borrowing money to pay workers in 2014.
That is chronic failure with the humongous revenue President Jonathan got at that time.

Just want to advise Edun you will be remembered for being the worst finance minister ever, Kemi Adeosun makes more impact than you. Big disgrace to Yoruba community. I've not seen one single move that is helping the poor or try to save money. Adeosun did whistle blowing right thinking thing a person with accounting experience would do taking over an important position. Edun made the last person that filled the position look like a genius.
lol
What exactly do you mean by this?

I wrote this when somebody was making comparison btw Mr Edun and Okonjo.

Even Buhari has the highest GDP in Africa until he left.
Because of the fakeness of the GDP during Okonjo Iweala period,Nigeria was down in 2014 when Okonjo began to borrow billions to pay workers because oil began to sell for 78 dollars.

Mr Edun is managing the economy better with oil at 67 dollars,1.5 million b/d.

PoliticsRe: Fact Check Gov Sanwo Olu: Did Poverty Rate Increase Under Peter Obi As Governor? by Ritchiee: 5:08pm On Apr 28, 2025
IGBOPROMISE1:
So can we have similar findings for other states in the country….especially Tinubu and Sanwo-Olus’ south-west states!? Anyone got data on those ones!?

I find it amusing….perplexing even, that a country like Nigeria that operates a unitary system of gov’t in all but name, and one where a malevolent, parochial, bigoted and powerful centre sabotages the economic prospects of certain states or regions based on ethnicity, religion and voting pattern, like we saw the Buhari gov’t do with Anambra and derivation payments in lieu of her oil production….that given the aforementioned, someone that’s up to no good would be asking a sub-unit of the whole, that has little or no federal presence or federal projects, to miraculously buck the trend obtainable in other states that are even more favoured by the centre and existing status-quo!

A fair assessment would be to check if the poverty rate in Anambra was growing year-on-year before Peter Obi became governor, and, if not reversed, whether the poverty rate was either slowed or halted during his his tenure as governor! Such an assessment should also mention how he fared in other indices of development and not just the poverty rate.
Failures and excuses are like 1 and 2.
Ngige and Obiano did better.
Maybe they were not in Nigeria during their time, they took Anambra to Pluto then.

The only place they said he did well was taking Anambra to first position in WAEC which later became a fat lie because WAEC said they have never rated states. That lie went on for more than 10 years before WAEC was notified and they denied rating states because they are in 5 African nations and had never rated any state.
Some govs(I suspect Obi too) must have spent billions for that lie to fly even in national newspapers..

Even under GEJ she left our economy as the biggest in Africa with high GDP, Wale destroyed all that in just two years and you have the temerity to rate such level of incompetence.

But not withstanding dispensation matters.

Iweala managed overflow
And she managed it badly.

I think Wale Edun will beat her even if he finishes 4 years as against Okonjo's 8 years.

The End determines everything.
Okonjo ends with borrowing to pay because Nigeria had become almost bankrupt.

If it were not for the removal of subsidy,Wale Edun, within this short difficult period, has proven to be very good.

Fake GDP that had Okonjo Iweala borrowing money to pay workers in 2014.
They have eaten Nigeria to the bone even before the arrival of Buhari.
With Nigeria making more than 2 million barrels per day and oil selling as much as 120 to 150 dollars, there was no development, strikes everywhere, unemployment etc were the order of the day after the exodus of Obasanjo.
Leadership is the problem of Nigeria.
